Spoiler culture is the absolute fucking worst. IT'S A LIVE FUCKING EVENT, GET OVER IT. IT'S FAIR GAME. Comparing this to something like GoT is asinine.

It's like complaining that someone posted a thread about UNC winning the national championship right after it happens. Jesus Christ, y'all are too much.

What difference does it being live make?

WWE is a scripted storyline program no different than any other television show besides the fact that its filmed live and not pre-recorded (usually). It has more in common with Walking Dead than it does NCAA Basketball.

What difference does that make? If this was some live reality TV finale. It'd be the same thing. It's live TV and newsworthy, It's fair game. You can't spoil that. Y'all are ridiculous.

People that care about spoilers and complain are obnoxious and the absolute fucking worst. Flame me, I don't give a shit.

I'm pretty sure that game wouldn't be airing on a tape delay.

Entrance was hype and great post-wrestlemania crowd for it but anyone else think it was weird interrupting the Miz's promo? Like feud worthy weird?

If someone 2 hours after it aired posted a thread saying
JON SNOW REVIVED
IN GAME OF THRONES the person would probably be juniored for it.

I don't get how people aren't understanding this? WWE isn't a real sport, it's a scripted story show no different than any other show. The fact that it airs live* makes no difference on some common courtesy for people who didn't watch the episode when it aired just like any other TV show. I guess I just don't get how naming the thread "Big name debuts on Smackdown" is so much harder to do.

* live for people not on the west coast.

A lot of people in this thread seem to think people who aren't in the EC just don't deserve to watch anything without expecting to get spoiled (which is obviously bullshit). I guarantee all of you wouldn't be saying any of this if you weren't already on the EC and actually cared about the shows.

No, it's more like saying a character is going to be on GoT, which is actually a spoiler.
Disagree, I care about stuff like this and I definitely don't think this is a spoiler, heck I watched it because I've been waiting for him to appear on the main roster. This was a good thing but a spoiler it is not.

Wrestler debuts/comebacks are huge moments in wrestling. You just have to watch what/who got the biggest pops at Wrestlemania & Raw to realise what you're saying is an inapt comparison.
No my comparison is right on, your overreaction is crazy to me. This is not a spoiler at all.

And you still don't my point! IT'S LIVE AND NEWSWORTHY. If something big happens on SNL and a thread gets posted about it after it happens, it's not a fucking spoiler. YOU don't get it. Time doesn't stand still and exist in a vacuum until it airs on the West Coast.

I completely understand that this some scripted soap opera drama, no fucking shit. But that doesn't erase the main point here. Yes, it sucks for those on the WC, but that's reality.

You're comparing WWE to everything else except the thing it actually is - a scripted weekly story driven show that happens to be about fake wrestling.

Why are you comparing a major story event to a character showing up? It's like saying Bran is going to be on TV next week and calling that a spoiler. That would be hilarious.

Well considering Bryan is a weekly recurring character on the show I wouldn't call that any kind of spoiler. A new character debuting on the show would be a spoiler however. I guess I just cant wrap my head around why people cant just go "Big superstar debuts on Smackdown" instead of spoiling it right in the thread title especially since GAF rules frown upon thread title spoilers and since WWE doesn't air live for everyone.

Guys.

Imagine this intro.

Except instead of one violinist, it's a full 50-piece orchestra.

And Shinsuke comes out dressed like this:

MANIA 34 HERE WE COME.

professional wrestling isn't real

I mean, it's also kind of annoying to log in and see, "OMG MEGAN MCCARTHY IS SEAN SPICER LOL" in a thread title when the show hasn't even finished airing on the east coast. You're essentially saying this is an East Coast message board, and everyone else just has to deal with it.

But again, I get that this is a message board, and people want to have discussion about things as they happen. I also understand that people don't like megathread discussions and that we have a "new news, new thread" rule, which this arguably falls under. However, I don't think it's an unreasonable request to NOT put sensitive information in a thread title.

Whether you think it's a spoiler is really irrelevant. Other people do. What's the harm in erring on the side of caution here?

I'm not advocating for spoiler culture; I'm advocating for general forum decency.

Fuck! That's the dream.

I could go for a ten minute live version of his song as he walks down those ever lengthening ramps.

That was weird.

No wonder they're having their worst ratings for decades. Current WWE is incredibly awful. I tuned out circa 2004 just as the Cena era begun and it's been awful ever since going on the times I've tried to get back into it. The characters, commentators and fan chants are absolutely cringe worthy nowadays.

Becoming an MMA fan didn't help matters after you see what a real punch does to someones face then attempt to take seriously two 200lb guys smash each other in the face for 20 mins straight and end up without a scratch lol.

AJ is in your FAVE FIVE but you ain't know he was the face that runs the place?

Shame

I've been out of the WWE loop since the Invasion. Followed AJ on the indies and then TNA but stopped watching that around the time he was in an angle with Dixie Carter and then turned into emo Styles. Him and Joe and the rest going to WWE weren't enough to get me back. I'll try. :-)

The last 4 years have been AJ's best. If you stopped following before he left TNA and went on his incredible NJPW run, you haven't even seen peak AJ Styles. He turned from a fan favorite with no motivation into a top 3 in the world almost instantly.

did you not know what a real punch did to someone's face before watching MMA?

So you don't give a shit about people outside your timezone? All those in the US west coast, in Europe, Africa, Asia, that do not watch wwe programming at 8 pm EST but still post in this forum?

You are a great person.

"Fuck you, got mine" in a nutshell. Some people are just super selfish assholes.

In the WWE universe (ugh) Nakamura showing up is a major story event.

I won't lie, I was pissed when I saw this topic earlier this morning because I'm in bed early on Tuesday nights and watch SD on Wednesday afternoon.

Even though I knew it was coming the entrance was still pretty damn epic. That violen music gives me goosebumps every time.

I'm in the WWE universe. I watch Raw and Smackdown every week. That's the first time I've seen him. It didn't feel major to me. He has to do something to be major. It's like GoT hired a good actor and just showed him walking.
