Seath has been lynched
Welcome!

The others always look down on you for not having some shiny special ability. But you have the power! You can vote! Did you ever think about how awesome that is? The simple people (like you) can influence what happens on the great scale! How can they still laugh at you? You kind of invented Democracy after all, right?

You are an Ordinary Villager.

You are aligned with the Followers of Komena (That's Town).

You win when all Followers of Peripseros are dead.

The game thread is here:

If you have any questions, please send a PM to YesNOnoNOYes or Royal_Flush.

Please post in the thread or reply to this message a confirmation that you received it.

Have fun!

All non-god Followers of Komena who bet on Seath will receive nightkill immunity for this night phase.

All non-god Followers of Peripseros who bet on Seath will get an investigation of one person's role which they can use in addition to their other actions.

All other players who bet on Seath will learn about their reward via PM.

The night ends in:

CHAPTER VI

"Why are we doing this again, Yena?"
"Because the words of everything that was and is yet to come say so. You know this very well, Royos."
"Yeah sure, but couldn't it be over a bit sooner? I have a wedding to attend!"
"What? You aren't even bound to space and time! We could stand here for another ten years and you would make it to this wedding."
"But that would be ten wasted years of my life I would never get back..."
"How are ten years of an infinite life different from bare moments of a mortal life?"
"Enough for me to get away from here."
"But you can't. The writings say so. You can't disobey the writings."
"I thought the writings always change? How can you be sure they are still saying this? How can you even read them? They are on your body!"
"I thought by now you learned not to question me..."
"Hmpf... Quiet now, I think they are waking up."

Today's dictates are Fortitude and Imprudence.

During the following night phase each action that would kill a player has an 25% chance of failing.

During this day phase the first vote that will be cast ends the phase and the player that was voted for gets lynched.

Please note that for this I will not count the timestamp of the post but my post that starts the day marks the beginning of the day!

Edit: I guess another way to say this is "Majority is at 1 today".

Also, please make sure to not write your insults towards me in this thread prior to day start but send them directly to me :p

The day has not started yet! Do not post! The day begins in (approximately):

"Ah, there you are! Very good. Let's quickly continue with this game as the Gods slowly become displeased with your performance. They want more blood! We should quickly give them new one! People of Mephyklai, do not disobey your Gods!"

Bewildered the people looked at each other. Why the sudden hurry? How would they decide who to lynch? But who were they to disobey the Gods?

I know he might be Peripseros, but I'm not ready to vote anyone else

VOTE: Kyanrute

There's always plan b I guess

Oh, also Blarg is scum after all? Crazy. Guess we ruled that out too easily.

"Good. Here, let my friend do this for you", Royos said while Yena already was jumping from the roof directly onto Kyanrute, pouring her long teeth into his chest.

"OK, go back to bed now everyone, I fear this isn't over yet"
"But the sun just rose! We aren't tired yet", one of the people replied.
"I said: Go back to bed!"

And so they went back to bed, slightly confused by the odd behavior Royos and Yena had shown today.

Kyanrute has been lynched

Why would you settle with one existence if you could have two? Three? One for each living being? If you could live the life of every single human being? If you could have all the exciting memories, all the first kisses, all the humbling victories that ever existed? You wouldn't. You can't. It's like a drug. A drug not meant for mortals. A drug you can't get enough of. A drug that will eventually kill you and all the memories you acquired. A drug that makes you ignore that price.

You are a Mind Wader (better known as Absorber).

You are aligned with the Followers of Peripseros (That's Scum).

You win when the Followers of Peripseros outnumber the other players.

Once per night, but only two times during the game, you may send us the command Absorb: <Player>. If you do, you gain all special abilities the chosen players has and lose all special abilities you previously gained. If the acquired ability has a limited number of usages (X-Shot), you will gain as many shots as the chosen player has left after that night phase.

Instead of using your own command, you may use any command included in the gained special ability.

Instead of using your night action, you may once per night send us the command Kill: <Player>. If you do, that player will be removed from the game. Each night this command can only used by one player of your team. If you are the last player in your team you may use both this command and your regular command.

Your partners are:

One of the players is Peripseros, God of the Decay, the Despair and the All-Swallowing Sea. He knows your identities, but you don't know his.

Your team has a secret chat that can be found here:

The game thread is here:

If you have any questions, please send a PM to YesNOnoNOYes or Royal_Flush.

Suddenly the weather changed to a light breeze, softly caressing the skin of the townsfolk who were on their way into their homes, slowly swaying the the top of the trees who are witnessing this game without comment and gently disturbing the crystal clear surface of the small lake just outside the town. But unlike all the countless times before such a breeze has emerged from seemingly nowhere, this breeze didn't tingle the people's ears with a constant hiss, but it sounded more like the wind would whisper words, very muddled and unclear at first, but slowly growing more distinct and pronounced. But these words - or theses sounds rather - didn't sound like anything they ever heard before. It reminded them of something but they couldn't pin it down. It almost sounded like a language they heard a long time ago, maybe as an infant but can't recall any concrete memory of. Except they instinctively knew they've never heard that language. And that they never were supposed to hear it. That it was an ancient language, used by powers even mightier than the gods itself, powers that were there at the beginning when there were neither gods nor mortals. And they knew that that these power never had intended their language to be heard by the unworthy mortals they were. Then *Splinter collapsed.

*Splinter has been removed from the game for falsely using ancient magic he didn't quite understand.
Welcome!

Looking back, the stars told you this would happen a while ago. You just didn't see it. It had nothing to do with your chances of becoming an elected member of the next town council. You have failed Xeros, God of knowledge, the future and the million shining stars. Your god. You just hope he will still guide you in this battle against Despair. That you will win it. If the stars align.

You are an Oracle (Better known as Lie Detector).

You are aligned with the Followers of Komena (That's Town).

You win when all Followers of Peripseros are dead.

Three times during the course of the game, once per night phase, you may send us the command Check: <postnumber> (You can find the postnumber of a post on the top right corner of that post). If you do, you will receive one of the following answers:
- Lie: There is at least one lie in the checked post. (For example "I'm town" in a post by a scum player)
- No Lie: There is no lie in the checked post.
- Unclear: There is no lie we can verify in the checked post (You would receive "Lie" then), but there is at least one statement that we don't know if it's a lie. (For example: "I think X is scum" by a town player)

The game thread is here:

CHAPTER VII

Was there any hope left? Hope for pleasing the gods? Hope for winning this sick slaughter someone named a "game"? Hope for just not dying? Maybe. What did hope even mean? And did it really matter? Would it change the meaning of going on? Was there a point in going on? Why not just quit, right here, right now? Wasn't it already over? Maybe. Or maybe not. Fate had taken strange and unlikely turns before, why wouldn't it now? Maybe that's what hope is: The faith that fate will turn once again.

Today's dictates are Focus and Tardiness

During this day phase all chats that are not the main game thread (this thread) will be locked.

During the following night phase each action has a 15% chance of failing. This does not include the regular kill of the Followers of Peripseros.

The day has not started yet. Do not post! The day starts in:

Or maybe it was about defying fate? Was this even possible? Wasn't fate something even the gods bowed before? And if they could defeat fate, couldn't they also defeat gods? But that would be heresy, wouldn't it? These thoughts are no thoughts they should have. They might anger the gods. But then again, was this really worse than dying? Than giving up? Maybe. Who knows...

Silly you. Did you really think you were done with death and betrayal after you resigned your post at Parakros? After you were fed up by all the senseless slaughter, by the wars just for the sake of having a war, by the constant monitoring by your officers? Apparently it's not so easy to escape the suffering. At least your long experience at the forces could be helpful. You even sense some other members of the Armed Forces of Parakros around. They'll surely appreciate your help...

You are a Captain.

You are aligned with the Followers of Komena (That's Town).

You win when all Followers of Peripseros are dead.

Once per night phase you may send us one of the following commands:
- Protect <Player> tonight!
- View <Player> tonight!
The player(s) who can send the chosen command will be notified that their Captain ordered them to target the player you chose. They are not forced to follow the order. If they already have chosen a target, they may switch their target to the Player you chose. Please send your command during the first half of the night phase, so the other player(s) has/have time to react.

If you have any questions, please send a PM to YesNOnoNOYes or Royal_Flush.

Noticed you kind of tried to hammer the vote on someone who is clearly townie now...

Discussion was dead and I still had my doubts about Splinter, especially with the Blarg vote thing.

I didn't try for Kyan because I figured he may be a god.

Yeah, there's just one problem.

Both the people you hammered flipped town.

And there's that whole post where you clearly acted like you just won the game there...

FUCKING FINALLY!!! All this waiting for this or that was annoying.

WE GET TO SEE IF SEATH IS GAWD OR NOT!

I refuse to believe Seath is town. His plays make no sense for a town player. But if he is town, this is over. All scum have to do is kill Splinter or GP and win. They would be safest win for them. Thinking the day over I can see only one of them being scum. Sophia kill would be too risky since they can't be sure she doesn't block night kills. So at least we have Sophia 2mrw.

One thing in the back of my mind is that Seath wants to get lynched because his power works that way. O well, we will see.

if he is town, gg?
If not, I'm looking at swamped 2mrw. GP also never answered my question about following Splint's votes. I'm sure Splint is gonna explain voting Blarg and dipping as "bad play" next day phase.
Sidenote:
YESSSSSSS, I Finally got to hammer a vote in this game!

Vote: Seath

Too bad about the RNG. If anyone cares, my bet reward was knowledge about a dictate, and I chose Fortitude. After realizing we were basically at lylo, I rolled the dice on it.

I only have two dictates left.

Will have to go back and look, but a couple things.

1. Seath flipped town. Scum would probably put him on their scum list to obfuscate their actual partners.
2. Thanks Splinter for getting in the post to lynch Kyan. I assume he tried to use the god-killing spell and failed. Why did he say Blarg was scum? Was his spell word wrong?
3. Did we ever learn Seath's spell word?
4. GP flipped town. Again, will have to look at those who put him on their scum list.

I only hammered one person.

How does that post read like winning the game?

You hammered two people

Vote: *Splinter

One just didn't work because Splinter beat you to the punch. But then Splinter apparently got himself killed trying to use that god-killing spell.

And that post was awfully excitable for you. You didn't do anything like that previously in the game. Getting all excited because you got to hammer the vote? Really? :p

So either:

1. Zeke is scum, got too far ahead of himself, and outlined scum's plan to win. Only he didn't count on the bet reward awarding immunity, so he hammered Splinter the next day and killed GP at night.
2. Zeke is town and scum is trying to frame him.

Also, if you're scum, why not try to kill Blarg two nights ago? A bit of metagaming, but why not bet (heh) on the fact that he'd be too busy IRL to submit a Seath bet?

You hammered two people

No, I hammered one person. Only one vote counted that day. So nething that happens after that doesn't matter.

LOL yea, it's a reference to my last game. One of the gifs is one of the ones I used with I hammered votes in my last game. Had double vote and managed to hammer like 5/7 days I was alive.

Also we were dragging out the day phase a lot. When we needed Seath flip for answers. Just wanted to get it over with, to get answers to get to the next day phase.

As an aside, what does everyone think about Swamped now? She vouched for Splinter pretty hard on Day 5 and correctly told us what would happen if someone used the god-killing spell incorrectly.

Uh, no, it absolutely does matter. Everyone else who hammered the vote there is confirmed town now, and your vote was clearly on a confirmed townie twice in a row. Seath, than Splinter.

You can argue the semantics all you want, but the votes there tell a tale of their own. :\

Blarg how are you "all innocent" also I claimed OV.

And did you see me vote Seath again? No. Because I had suspicions.

I don't remember seeing these suspicions other than questioning the stuff on D3.
You even stated
I'd like to see a Seath lynch first. Can you explain how a Kyan lynch would help decide on GP?

So don't try and paint a picture where you wanted to get Seath off the table for someone else. You, along with me argued how Seath lynch made the most sense compared to anything else that day phase.

Explain why that makes sense?
Who else we gonna vote?

Also blarg, it has to be 1 Peri and 1 Follower of Peri left. Or someone on town has an ability to affect voting or something. Because as it stands, if it was 3 v 3, then the game should be over? Unless it isn't because of the potential of the NK failing? But then it would be an endless game.

I wonder if Zeke is Periscope. Seems to talk about godhood a lot, especially with regards to Seath. Is it genuine curiousity about what being a god entails, or a deliberate attempt to discredit him as raving while hiding his true godhood?

Anyone figure out what Splinter's suspicion of Blarg was about?

That's some revisionist history bullshit and you know it. I express my suspicions multiple times after Swamped suggested it.

Look at it this way, if #1 happens, you're not on the chopping block: Kyanrute is

And while I don't think it'll happen, if by some crazy odds Seath flips town, we look at Ezekel
I'm too tired to really think this out too much right now, and I'm heading off to bed soon. That being said, you do make some good points and I'm rather impressed.

The theory that's been floating in my head is that between Seath and Kyan one of them was likely to be the scum God and the other a regular scum... but now that you mentioned it, what if someone was trying to bus Seath/Kyan...? It is rather unusual that they've given up so easily.

TLDR Version
  • Splinter was undecided on Seath before he claimed Godhood.
[*] EzekelRAGE wanted to test Seath's Godhood, but according to the vote tool did not actually vote for it.
  • Kyanrute wanted to let Seath be.
  • As far as I can tell, Swamped believed Seath was a God, and was more interested in lynching scum.
  • OceanicAir, whom we now know is town, doubted Seath's Godhood.

Hmm.... Ezekel, why didn't you vote for Seath on Day 3 if you wanted to test his Godhood?
I find it odd that you were the one who pushed for the testing of Seath that day, yet you didn't try to convince me to move my vote later on. Hmm...

I'll be honest with you, Swamped. As much as I agree that Ezekel has been under very little scrutiny, I also felt that you were flying under the radar a bit. Which is why I wanted to push you for responses a bit when you brought it up. I've been waiting it out long as possible to try and see if anyone else would hop on the your lynch train there, but nobody budged. I did like the responses you given, although I'm not so certain Ezekel actually went after Star, as he voted against lynching her on Day 1. His arguments with Gorlak should probably be put in a new light now that we know that both Gorlak and OceanicAir are town.

Realistically, the scum is probably consisting of four people, counting their God, and they're almost certainly trying to bus Seath and Kyan because they're outed. The scum team is also probably going to off me tonight. The idea of being a confirmed townie with an alignment related secret reward is too much of a risk to them.

If Seath no lynches at the end of this day phase, lynch Kyanrute on the following day, and then take a good look at Ezekel because he's been pushing the Seath lynch on Day 4.

If Seath flips, I'd suggest keeping in mind that a flip does not automatically clear Ezekel either, and also take a close look at Splinter because he pushed for that alternative lynch on Kyan.

I'm gonna go eat now. I'll keep reading on my tablet during dinner.

And if you want, I can go back to previous days where I expressed my worry of you.

Who else we gonna vote?

That's your grand argument for lynching someone in Lylo? Seriously? ¬_¬

I'm not entirely sure, but I guess it might have been due to something about Blarg being on the Seath vote too? :\

Can't argue against it, I don't think I talked about Godhood that much. On the flipside you rarely talked aobut godhood and turned out to be one.

Splint also thought you and OA were 100% scum with no evidence and didn't even try to cover it up. I think Blarg is town. He should be last we test on. What case could there be for blarg?

You should have suspicions of me, I'm not confirmed. Expressing suspicions does nothing really. You also have a handful of posts on D5 arguing to lynch Seath and a post specifically saying you want to see the Seath lynch. You weren't gonna go with anything else and I don't know why you are trying to act like you were.

What do you suggest we do this day phase, who do you make a case against?

I wanna hear more from Dragonz right now. She's been awfully quiet, and jumped on the Seath lynch a bit too easily too.

You're currently my #1 scum tho, but unlike you I won't hammer the vote early in the morning. :p

Is there anything I can address for you thinking I am scum?

Also you didn't comment on anything I said about you still wanting to lynch Seath.

Was in response to Splinter specifically, and I still wanted to see it, but then a few posts later I unvoted after re-reading and my suspicions on you grew further. My vote remained off from that point onward.

And I don't think there's too many arguments you could make to convince me of scum, unless you have better evidence to vote for someone other than "Who else we gonna vote?"
