I like what I see. Then again, I do spend 3/4ths of the day gluing Judi Dench's head onto the bodies of South American superhunks.

Am I the only one it's asking to install something? I don't trust AOL.

I watched the trailer on the official site that uses some fullscreen streaming player. Good quality actually.

I love this teaser.

So do the double 00's and the M's and the Q's know that they are not the originals? Or do they know about their predecessors. If so how come they never talk about it.

Also Bond needs some sleep, dude is a freaking tanooki.

Action scenes looked awesome, I can't wait.

EDIT: I've always assumed that the titles are just that - when a 00 retires or dies (same for M, Q, etc) they simply get a new one to fill the position. It's especially clear for M say, it's just the title they use for whoeever is running the show. Whether that means the James Bond name is part of the persona the agent accepts when he becomes 007 I'm not sure, I always imagine it is but no answer really makes that much logical sense. I prefer to see a new Bond as meaning the old one left (probably died) and they brought some other secret agent in who was willing to take over the identity. As for why they almost never mention the previous Bonds I guess you could accept that as part of the deal, there's no real reason for the new Bond's to talk about the old ones because they are Bond now. But like I said I doubt any explanation could really make sense, which I'm sure is why they just kinda leave it vague like Superman's ridiculous secret identity.

So will this be the first 007 on screen to shoot & kill someone?

Looking great.

This is my most anticipated movie of the year.

:lol @ Connery pic.

I loved Connery, the man was truly Bond. Only Bond who could tie up a girl with her own bikini within a second.

Is it just me, or does he look like a fucking drug addict in this pic? Dark, sunken in eyes, fucked up hair.... What the hell?

Is that a black eye? Did he get the shit knocked out of him by his dealer for not paying on time?

The pouty lips are what bother me.

He looks fucking oldschool, like an actor you'd see around the Connery era.

I would like to thank the Bourne Identity and Batman Begins for collaberating their efforts into making this film a reality.

That and he looks like a fucking mess.

If this is supposed to be set before the other Bond films, then why the hell did they get someone who looks older?

Oh well I'll still see it and make up my mind then.

The action scenes look good, but I don't get a James Bond feel from it.

GOOD. I'm glad to see them re-envisioning Bond as someone who's not a complete wuss. Connery was excellent as Bond but I guess I'm happy to see them trying to make this iteration of him grittier and less debonair. Frankly, I welcome the switch and I have no doubt that Craig will do a great job at it.

The appeal of James bond is he can just as easily sex up the ladies while blowing shit up, all the while by not breaking a sweat and not taking anything seriously. This guy doesnt do it for me. He does not look suave enough, looks too tough, and while that is not a bad thing in and of itself, its not my image of a James Bond.

Yeah the movie looks great and all. The guys face just looks messed up. Not that I'm one to criticize since I'm quite hidious myself but still it feels much different than any other bond film. I'll see it, hope it's half as good as Goldeneye.

I like how rough Craig is, but he doesn't seem nearly charming enough. Bond really has to have both.

P.S. I bet it'll be great, but I doubt it'll seem like a Bond movie.

Yeah and what about "please, I'm only a professional doing my job"
Bond - (shoots guy) "So am I"

...Unless that was from some other movie...

Now that is a teaser! This will be much better than Superman Returns :D . Now that I got that obligatory jab in there, I dont have much to say, since I said it all in the French teaser thread, and this is identical. As I said in that thread, I have been very skeptical about this, but the teaser has made the majority of my fear disappate. However, where is my baccarat game?

Oh, and to the poster who said that scene was too much of an Ursula Andress nod, hello, did you not see Die Another Day? This scene in Casino Royale is much less blatant.

ive never played baccarat and heck I dont really understand it, but they should have left it in. Whats the point of watching Bond go to some exotic foreign casino if he is just going to play the same games we have here in the states?

Good. That Bond was getting boring as fuck.

Craig has the perfect look. Bond is a ruthless, flawed (read the f'in' books!) hard-ass. Not a fucking Calvin Klein model. Craig has that rugged look, and genuinely looks like he could fuck you up. Brosnan was a non-threatening pretty boy. Craig is from the Connery and Dalton mould, which is the best mould a Bond could come from.

Looks terrific. I'm sick of smooth Bond, I want gritty badass Bond and Craig is perfect. Eva Green's also great as the gorgeous-and-exotic-but-still-white Bond girl. Hope she gets a meaty role.

Take it you've never read the books? :D 'Tis no role meatier in the entirety of the Bond canon (aside from Bond himself and perhaps Blofeld) than that of Vesper Lynd, whom Green plays. Youre in for a treat, provided the adaptation remains true to her character.

The style, mannerisms, and swagger of Bond is supposed to be that of Dr. No's director Terance Young.

I don't trust Martin Campbell. Goldeneye was good, Beyond Borders was good, Zorro was great, but No Escape, Legend of Zorro, and Vertical Limit were all awful.

Well, many did call Young the real life James Bond ;) He was very suave, sophisticated, had a love of drink and culture. And Young was the one that groomed the rough-around-the-edges Connery into Bond.
