watch out Shaq the next big thing is coming....

Hail to the KING baby
Poor Splifford Robinson has to be the goat when Kidd/Carter were like 1/27 on important shots (and a lucky 1 at that). Heh, what a crap game, I'm glad I only watched the end of the 4th on. Uuuugly.

Eminem

goddamit, Griese!
oh stop with the ref BS. in the fourth and OTs alone Kidd and Carter missed more open looks than i can count on my hands

Yeah Wade had quite a few bad turnovers. That's something he definitely needs to work on.

Anyway, even with questionable fouls NJ had plenty of open shots, which they clanked. Also they didn't hustle as hard for loose balls. They lost the game themselves.

The black man everyone at Activision can agree on
I agree with Chosen... the Nets clanked SO many open shots all throughout the game it's not even funny... this game really was their's... and they gave it away.

Wade with the turnovers... what was he channeling Kobe tonight?

Shaq... wow... he looked like an old man... an aging Akeem... an aging Abdul Jabar... an aging Mutumbo.... he looked... BAD.

Detroit will kick the shit of the Miami team that played tonight. That was some weak shit.

Nets are gonna get swept, but I think Miami is vulnerable when teams stay home on their three point shooters and can actually make shots in the half court (which, by the way, New Jersey can NEVER do....this isn't a new thing).

The problem is taking threes when you've played 50 minutes. Miami scored on FTs and a putback by haslem, those are capable shots when you're dead tired. Taking threes on dead legs just doesn't work.

Why haven't we seen a long rant against Vince Carter for team hoping?

I'm just glad to see him lose... again.

From ESPN's writeup:

"Shaquille O'Neal had his best game of the series with 25 points,"

That sure as hell aint' sayin alot... age and weight are catching up with Shaq.

Miami had 18 turnovers tonight.. good god...

Yep, that's why Seattle has had so much success with them. Their guards can shoot jumpers so Miami's shooters have to work all game and not just in transition.

PS: How does Shaq get only 6 boards in 46 minutes? Lakers need to make a run at Haslem in FA :)

I have no idea how Ned kept his cool when he wrote that. Loki? I've been sensing some negative vibes coming from you toward Mr. Graduation, maybe you're the man for the job!

Agreed. Shaq looked OLD tonight. Konex no doubt has already popped open the champagne. :D

He's 33, but the weight and stress it's put on his body are making him look like 38.

It feels good to be in the second round. :D :D :D

Fucking A, the Heat kept it too close tonight. Wade gets ball-hoggish sometimes and way overcommits to some plays. That's what's with the TOs. But he should get better about that with time. He's gotta work on his handle. It's his weak point IMO.

We gotta sweep these bitches so Shaq can rest up properly and SVG can try and put some more discipline in Wade's game. TOs are a product of handling time, but his numbers are still higher than necessary. I don't think TMac turns the ball over as much, and he gets a ton of touches. So he's probably a more effective player overall for that reason. That and he's the best scorer in the league. :D Watching this Rox game, and I'm really starting to dig Barry running the break. I didn't remember him being so flashy until this season. PEACE.

Well, Tmac never plays PG. Wade does and he has excellent handles for a combo guard IMO but he doesn't trust his jumper in crunchtime and only wants to drive/draw contact. Depending on how the refs are calling it, he gets a lot of fts or tos.

dont listen to konex, he is mad that his theory about kobe being the more important ingredient in the lakers championships was wrong :D

shaq looks old because he is coming off a pretty bad injury and is clearly not @ 100%. relax fellas he will be good to go soon

Hey man, he's got that bad thigh. You haters are gonna be suprised when playoff Diesel is up doing 30/20 duty on our way to the Finals MVP. :D He's lighter this season. He's slower, but he's lighter, so he can still move around. He's just getting warmed up. PEACE.

EDIT: BTW, I don't know what game you guys were watching, but the calls were biased to the Nets this whole game. Only in the 4th did the Heat get more calls IMO. Look how long it took for Wade to get to the foul line. These commie refs were clearly paid off by Nets management to make the team look something other than completely sweepable.

Shaq is washed up. Buss knew what was up and dumped him for 2 nice players, a pick and tanking a year for the lotto :)

Holy shit! A fight almost broke out in the Indiana/Boston game....Antoine thrown out after shoving an official out of the way....this all started with an initial elbow he threw at O'Neal. Crazy.

lol washed up says the guy whose team couldn't finish ahead of the clippers for the first time in a bajillion years. you wanted it you got it kobe: another mediocre LA team for years to come

Sorry, but the heat getting 11 more FTA's than the nets doesn't leave one with the impression that the refs were helping NJ out at all.

LMAO @ Boston. I wonder what Sports Guy has to say in his blog tomorrow :lol

What a bunch of sore losers :lol

Sports Guy is entertaining, but he sucks like all hell with his predictions. Doesn't he bet a lot on these games also? I wonder how much money he's lost.

Even a bum Shaq is still the best center in the league.

And Pimpwerx, you have gone off the deep end. Shaq is still a force, but don't delude yourself into thinking he will change back to the old Shaq of the first two rings. Like I said, I don't even remember the last time Shaq has gotten 20 boards in the playoffs (or hell even the regular season). The Lakers were getting outrebounded by a lot of teams in the last two seasons, something that was impossible with the Old Shaq.

He can still score with anyone, but he can't move well enough and he has lost the quickness that made him the beast he used to be.

Kupchak needs to take a good look at the Rockets team. Surround a star guard with great shooters and rebounders and maybe your team won't suck :)

LeBron loves his girlfriend. There is no other woman in the world he’d rather have. The problem is, Dwyane’s not a woman.

Did you forget Yao?

And you are not giving Van Gundy the credit he deserves either. Nor T-Mac. Sorry to say it Konex, but this year T-Mac probably moves him ahead of Kobe as the premier 2 guad, because he will probably lead his team to the 2nd round. Lets see if Kobe can show us he is a real superstar next year.

Obviously not totally fair because T-Mac has a real coach and a better team, but we all said the same things about T-Mac before (I believe you were especially guilty of this Konex) and it would be hypocritical not to say the same of Kobe now.

I can imagine. Neither team is my team though so I just want to see as many games as possible. :D

Edit: This series reminds me of that classis Suns/Rockets series where both teams played better on the road. Damn that was a fun Rockets team to watch.

P.S. Hakeem > *.
