Chase Budinger is garbage. Another overrated Arizona player that won't amount to shit in the NBA.

Haven't people figured this out yet, Arizona is the West Coast version of Duke.

:lol

NBADraft.net has the exact same top 3, but they have us taking Blake Griffin. LOL @ Knicks potentially picking up OJ Mayo though.

NBA Comparison: Mickael Gelabale/Mardy Collins

I really didn't see too much special about him either when he played UNC.

Also I approve of the thread title and hoopshype suggesting a Derek Rose pick.

Rose to Durant all night long, sigh.

Is there room on the Lakers bandwagon? I used to live down the street from Staples!

The only difference is Duke actually puts out quality players. Boozer, Maggette, and Brand are all great players and that's just off the top of my head.

Not in the last 3-5 years though. Back in the mid-late 90's Duke was kicking out lottery picks left and right. Lately, no one besides Boozer has really done anything in the league - and nobody thought he was going to be that good. The last couple of years they've had Redick, Shavlik Randolf, Josh McRoberts, Daniel Ewing, and Shelden Williams go pro and they've all been weak sauce they've been in the league. Right now they have Nelson, who I think could be pretty decent in the league (especially if he went to the Spurs) and Henderson, who needs to stay his ass in school instead of becoming the next Dahntay Jones. Then you have the increasingly disappointing Paulus and Scheyer and another overrated semi-athletic big guy in Kevin Singler.

They just don't recruit like they used to.

That's true, but I still think Reddick is going to do fine. Orlando is high on him for a reason. Shane Battier is awesome.

I do defend Redick a lot so I'll kinda slide back off of that so I won't be seen as a flip-flopper on the matter. But I still think Shane Battier was drafted way too high.

Whatever, I'm not worried about the Dream.

Amare + Shaq > Scola + Hakeem

BUT HOW DO U KNOW IF U'VE NEVER SEEN THEM PLAY TOGETHER!

Dirk needs to come back tomorrow. I took a chance and added him to my fantasy team. An owner who had a playoff game last week couldn't take the chance but I decided a possible return was worth it. GIMME 40 MINUTES, DIRK.

Bibby, Arenas, Iguodala, say hi.

I get chills when I think of Derrick Rose and Dwyane Wade in the same backcourt together.

draft can't come soon enough

Hakeem is 45 years old. He looked washed up in 2002; he's going to look terrible in 2008.

ESPN's Top 10 23-and-under:

Lebron
Dwight
CP3
Deron
Carmelo
Durant
Oden
Bynum
Roy
Ellis

Okay... uhm, why is Oden even on that list when he has not played a single game [yeah, me as a Blazers fan said that], and why is Durant ahead of Roy?

Somehow, I get the feeling that Heat are going to get screwed by the lottery balls this year. Stern finds a way to slap tanking teams in the face every couple of years.

Lollinger says that Mike Dunleavy Jr is the front-runner for the MIP award :lol

Wow, Lollinger was completely shitting on Kobe winning the MVP this season. I think he's starting to take it personally, the way he calls Lebron a no-brainer but no one listens to him.

Honestly, I'd take Candace Parker over half of the SG/SFs coming out in this year's draft.

Any Seattle resident see that LOL-worthy proposal for the 1 BILLION US DOLLARS arena with the retractable roof? I could have built something out of legos, called a press conference and it would have had the same effect.

All its doing is drawing attention from the REAL proposal from the Ballmer group. Fucking Frank Chopp

Wait, Bennett proposed a $1bil arena plan and wants the state to pay for it?

Fuck yes. Orlando is finally stepping up and might produce a loss for the Hornets =).

Now if Denver, Goldenstate, and Sacramento step it up I'll have one good night =)

Fred Brown helped bring an NBA championship to Seattle in 1979 as a sharp-shooting Sonics guard with the golden outside touch. Now the man known as "Downtown" Freddy Brown wants to find a way to save pro basketball in the city with a privately financed sports and exposition complex.

Brown and promoter Dave Bean, his partner in the proposed Emerald City Center complex, unveiled big dreams and ideas Tuesday at a press conference at Seattle advertising agency Wongdoody Communications.

The duo talked of building a retractable roof arena that could house both professional basketball and hockey franchises in the center of an Epcot-like exposition center.

They mentioned five potential sites, including the controversial notion of using the Pier 46 area on the water west of Qwest and Safeco fields, land they'd need to lease from the Port of Seattle.

Also mentioned were areas at the Seattle Center, as well as three undisclosed SoDo locations near the downtown sports stadiums.

Much fuzzier were details of who would finance a project estimated at $1 billion to $1.2 billion by Bean, who said it's "easier to find private investors for $1 billion right now than to get $75 million out of the state Legislature."

Oh fuck this.

Everytime I open my fucking mouth about a team getting a random loss they fucking come back.

Last night I was cheering on Denver and look what happened. The hornets were down by at least 12 and now they seem to be on an 8-0 run or something. So I will try to do something different.

I hope the Suns win tonight. They are a deserving, quality team that will easily slaughter Denver. The Spurs are amaziiiiing champions that will not lose to the scrub Warriors, and there is no way that giant fool Dwight Howard can overcome Cp3/MVP!!! Tmac will drop 50 on the Queens!!!

The lineup for the Pistons is disgusting.

Herrmann
Afflalo
Maxiel
Hunter
Amir Johnson

Stop facilitating the Wolves playing themselves out of a good pick.

Don't think it is drawing attention, from the Ballmer group. Not like public attention can buy the Sonics anyways

Yeah, the jinx exists. Obviously not to the degree that it does for Konex, but it's out there.

Every time a team has a ten point lead in the fourth and I say "all they have to do is not get outscored by ten from here on out," it always happens.

Also, don't forget that New Orleans is a notorious fourth quarter team. I'm not holding out hope for Orlando tonight, and with our luck, Golden State, Denver and Sacramento will all lose.

Damnit, not working for me.

And New Orleans pulls to within three.

Orlando is fucking useless. They've had the chance to be somebody and make a difference in this world several times these last few weeks, and they've blown it every time.

And New Orleans takes the lead. What a piece of shit franchise.

Edit: New Orleans has 19 offensive rebounds. 4 by West, 5 by Chandler and 5 by Hilton Armstrong. :lol
