Finally, it's officially happening; the Donnie Walsh press conference will be tomorrow afternoon.

So Isiah out is at least out as team President, which is a blessing. To go from Isiah Thomas to someone like Donnie Walsh is an incredible step up, I have a ton of faith in the guy.

But I do worry about when/if Isiah will be swept out as coach. I want him out of the organization, but the main shot callers are people who think well of Zeke (Jim Dolan and Donnie).

i must have entered the official NBA Suns Bitchfest thread by accident. how did that happen...

Via Jim Hill on CBS2 Sports Recap:

Pau expected to play tomorrow, Phil said if Pau thinks he can start then he will allow it. Big Sexy ran on the court during practice but no timetable was given for his return though. :D

This is the ultimate copout. Ive been watching the NBA since 93 and ive seen the refs progressively get worse. Now, not only are they destroying the sport, they are being arrested for rigging games, all while the NBA does its best to cover it up and fines the shit out of anyone who says a word. I look forward to the youtube video in 20 years from people like you screaming "ITS STILL REAL TO ME DAMMIT!!"

It's funny, when I bitched about refs being bad nobody gave a shit because the team I was rooting for has been subpar the last few years.

Now all of a sudden that the big-name teams and players are getting hit with the shittiness that are NBA referees and people are suddenly outraged like it's a new phenomenon. It's not, Stern just allowed the refs egos to transcend their professional obligation.

Roy to get MRI; remains out for Lakers, Rockets

Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy said he is scheduled to have a magnetic resonance imaging done on his right groin sometime in the next 24 hours, after which his availability for the rest of the season will be better determined.

Roy has missed the past two games with the strained groin and bruised right hip. If the MRI shows any damage or no signs of healing, Roy said he will probably shut himself down for the season, which has 8 games remaining.

There go your playoff hopes

Heh. I've stated numerous times that Portland wasn't going to make the playoffs including when they had that 13-game win streak. If Denver wins just one more game or Portland loses one more, they won't be able to make the playoffs.

Yeah, the ref work in the NBA is probably the worst I've seen in any major league sport, but nothing can be done about it. The game is so fast paced as opposed to baseball or football that they're bound to miss tons of calls. Hell, most of the refs can't even keep up with player son a fast break. I think it's obvious that certain refs have it in for certain players as well.

The Nuggets are one of the dirtiest teams, if not the dirtiest, in the league. The Spurs have experienced that very well during their last two playoff encounters when they have deliberately tried to injure players when the series starts slipping away. The thing is, great teams play through it, so obviously Phoenix won't.

Okay guys, this has gone on long enough.

What am I talking about? These incredibly lame insults against the Suns.

I demand at least remotely funny attacks. Demand!

None of the lame ones like this one, or the idiotic "Phonics", or anything along those lines. Use some creativity!

Who is talking about jokes? I'm dead serious. Who are the Phoenix Suns? What have they accomplished? They would get in an all out war in a playoff series with a dirty team like the Nuggets and probably lose because of it.

Someday you'll snap back to reality.

Unlike your claims of a hypothetical rape which no one (not even the accuser) was able to prove, we have plenty video of Mr. Bowen's mis-deeds.
Like Chis Paul punching him in the nuts three times and Bruce getting suspended? FUCK YOU, PAUL! KOBE4MVP! WAIT, WHAT?

Lakers-Spurs? Playoffs? Stop living in the past. :D
Yes, let's talk about the present and a Spurs-Mavs first round match-up. Spurs fans will now feel the pain of a first round exit like Mavs' fans did last year!

Attempted shots fired.

Gun jam.

Ugh that shots fired thing is so lame. Why won't it die.

Anyway, we'll just see who beats who once the playoffs come. A lot of you seem to be living in the past, and that's fine. Past success is easy to cling onto :)

Yao getting ready to be put back in action...
for the Olympics

If the Rockets can somehow, miraculously make it to the Finals, doesn't that mean Yao might be close enough to actually play?

Not that it's likely to happen, but just a thought.

Yeah, that won't happen. Not with Rafer missing every shot. Scola is playing well; maybe he'll get some ROY love?

Not enough to overcome Durant. Too much too late. But then, 27 year olds don't need ROY awards.

You people obviously did not watch those series. Afterall, we already know the ratings the Spurs pull in during the playoffs.

But seriously, the Thuggets where clotheslining, shoving and tripping our players with no intention to make a play on the ball. It was kinda scary to watch. Especially in the first of the two recent series.

I think Chris Paul has been outstanding and his team has been the top of the charts.

"It's the team, your impact on your team and what you do overall. Let's face it: (Paul) has been unbelievable. His scoring. His assisting. He's a leader in steals. He shoots a good percentage. He puts his team on his back in the fourth quarter. That's what it's about. He doesn't have the players around him that Kobe has."

Forget the fact that Pau and Bynum haven't even played 45 games combined this year for LA. That's a proposterous statement from a guy who won MVPs playing with Amare, Marion, Joe Johnson, Barbosa, Diaw etc. while Kobe and LeBron were dominating the league with scrubs :lol

Doesnt surprise me. Let me ask you this, what do you expect the Suns to do? Carmelo was trying to bully our entire team and the refs protected him to the point where they ejected one of our players for laughing. The other guy he tried to pick a fight with, Gericheck, got a technical for stripping the ball in the middle of a play. The sad thing is im not exaggerating in the least. At the end of the game he was running people over to get to the hoop and still somehow getting the call. Thats how Diaw fouled out. Spurs fans arent used to watching refs take away wins, thats why you cant understand.

I'm not really sure what his quote has to do with him winning two MVPs. He is giving his opinion on who should be MVP. Last time I checked, he didn't award himself his two MVP trophies....sooooo i'm not really sure how that's preposterous.

His statement about Paul not having the players around him that Kobe has is certainly debatable, but i've discussed that enough times in the past (and Kobe has the better case).

Sometimes you get the calls and sometimes you don't. Get over it.

Let me fire off to address some of the bickering:

-Bowen should be ran from the league...he's a total idiot and intentionally tries to hurt people.
-Kobe raped her. He settled so he wouldn't go to prison. He did it, quit being so naive.
-If the Hornets win the West, Paul deserves MVP.
-I'd still take Deron (for my team and my team's system) over Paul ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. Especially when Deron is 7-2 against Paul lifetime.

If the playoffs started right now, Utah would have the easiest path. It would be Phoenix --> New Orleans --> San Antonio (most likely). That's a run I'd be happy to make.

I usually don't get into Kobe Bryant rape discussions/arguments but for you I'll make an exception.

To assume that Kobe Bryant RAPED, not had sex with the "victim" is just that--an ASSUMPTION. None of us were there, so none of us know.

What we DO know is:
-The semen of other men was found in the panties that the girl had on the night of the alleged crime.
-She was more anxious to settle as she was not interested in testifying. Wouldn't you want to see the person who commited such a terrible violation of you go to jail? Would money be enough?

Wait, before you answer that with, oh Kobe had money and she would have never won, blah, blah, blah, let's think back on another athlete who had tremedous amounts of money and was accused of rape--Mike Tyson.

Did his victim take the money and run? No. She pressed charges to the point that it went to trial and Tyson was CONVICTED and SENT TO PRISON.

Faber could always have gotten money in the long run, (writing books, making appearances on talk shows, suing Kobe in a civil trial) AFTER sending this to trial and showing enough evidence to CONVICT him.

But she didn't.

She took the money and ran.

So based on everything I've just mentioned, (that are fact, not an ASSumption of guilt) there is no validity to your statement.

At very least...at the VERY least he was cheating on his wife and was rough enough with the girl to bruise her up.

Classy, dude.

Nice deflection.

I'm not here debating Kobe's moral compass. I agree. CHEATING ON YOUR WIFE IS WRONG.

But again, even with the alleged bruising, this is no absolute proof that Bryant put those on her.
