Sidzed2 said:I'm finding the game to be underwhelming in a technical sense. The game flip-flops between breathtaking beauty and looking like a high-resolution PS2 game.
I'm also finding the interface clunky, and the character movement too heavy.
The final disappointment would be that the game is split into a million tiny pieces, each separated by a lengthy loading screen. This is not only irritating, but ruins any sense of immersion and 'place' that Albion might have had to offer.
HAVING RANTED THAT, I do think the scope of the world and sheer amount of things there isto do is highly impressive, as is the quality of the art direction and voice acting.
The combat is also pretty interesting; I like the three-button set up, and I appreciate its accessibility and potential for depth.
Still, though - Oblivion managed a far more convincing and larger fantasy world than Fable II and did it without splitting up into tiny regions. Not saying Oblivion is a better game, but it definitely evokes a sense of place far better than this title.
I'm only a few hours in, we'll see how it goes.

its all engine optimization, the game looks surprisingly gourgeous, alot better in person than in screen shots.Sidzed2 said:Haha, probably, yeah.
It looks good, for the most part. But when you're alternating between something like Dead Space and this game (notwithstanding the vast differences in intent with regards to art style and scope), Fable II just comes off as sloppy-feeling.
It sort of bothers me that Oblivion and GTA IV can manage huge streaming worlds, yet when I want to travel around Fable I have to stare at multiple load-screens. There's no sense of this pushing the hardware in any meaningful way.
Still, love the dog!

Basically bet the minimum in fortune's tower and hold LB right after you hit A to bet. You'll notice the bet increase to max as the cards are dealt. So now you are only risking a minimum wager for maximum possible gain. Just remember to lower the bet back to minimum manually to repeat the process for every new hand as the game doesn't do so for you.
Oh that sucks. I thought all copies with the sticker had the cards inside though.Chernobyled said:I got mine from BB, and was not so lucky.
I've told plenty of people this so far: I'm enjoying Fable 2 and a lot, if not all, of the ideals that Lionhead have tried to incorporate but there are just so many small things that frustrate me. Combat works, but you'll only enjoy it if you stay away from the easy to do system of Button Mashing. Interacting with NPCs around the world is rather childish and Sims like, but you'll keep going back to see how the world is changing around you, as well as the laughs you'll get from fist-pumping the air after someone hands you a fine for killing an innocent bystander.
The world is huge, and the fact is, all of the small bugs and glitches will be overlooked by every RPG fan out there. You'll spend weeks of your life playing this, exploring every bit of the land possible, and trying your best to complete every side quest, open every demon door and silver chest, and you'll probably still miss something. I can see where the attraction is, but it just isn't as polished as it could be. If the game was presented a little better, and had a healthier option for interacting with characters then this would be a must-buy for everyone. But as it is, it's just a must-buy for the RPG fans that won't care about presentation, annoying mini-games and annoying NPCs.
I don't have enough money to do that. I don't know where my money keeps going or how to make it quick.Flyguy said:Buy stores and houses. You get roughly 1% of the property value every 5 minutes of real time. I'm getting almost $4000 every five minutes now. I'm still broke a lot because I re-invest it in more properties, but that turns into a game all its own.

I had heard that the bird is the word, however.
You should see 2 discs, the manual and a code to download bonus content. The majority of the copies are missing that code and Microsoft is working on a solution.Mejilan said:Some people are not getting all of their LE contents? What should I see inside my case?
