- Has anyone come up with a firm answer for why you don't collect a huge sum of money after the game's been off several hours? If not, I think I know:

I was collecting ~370g per 5 minute tick, when I was playing. I turned the game off, and when I loaded it back up about an hour later, I collected 3700g. Then I turned it off for the NIGHT, but when I loaded it up this morning, about 8 hours later, I collected... 3700g.

It seems like your rent money collects in realtime when the game is off, but you can only collect a maximum of ~1 hour's worth.

You will suffer no adverse effects from not sleeping or eating.

You're right about the economy, I think your number are off though. You're calculating based of off 50 minutes in an hour. I'm pretty sure I've been getting paid based on 60 minutes in an hour.

Ehhh...I wish I knew. I've only been keeping up with the news in the thread since I'm waiting for my 360 to be delivered today (so envious of all of you!!!). I imagine that there are dyes in shops around the towns though.

Is it wrong to feel like I'm playing a Halo RPG while donning the MC armor and plasma sword? I even have the town crier calling me "Master Chief"....

There are a ton of dyes in the actual game. Fable.com gives you pink and thats it.

Getting married is not part of your storyline requirement as far as I can tell. You can do it as many times as you like. So I got married, had a kid, cheated on my wife, then killed her.

I'll probably repeat the same sequence many times before the game is over.

Getting married is not essential to the storyline, however, I will say (without spoiling anything) that I suggest doing so, and having a child, at some point before the middle of the game when you are given a warning to "take care of anything you need to do". You'll know the part when you get there.

As of now I have Fire in my first slot and Shock in slot 2 to charge up. I have a few more spells bought but those seem to be the money spells early in the game. I havent seen much use for the ranged weapons though I just mix it up with magic and melee.......and its Oh so fun!:D

Ranged weapons don't come in to their own until you upgrade your Skill. For example, the ability to target specific body parts, it makes a world of difference.

You rock.:D I just saw that in the manual. Gah, how sad. I'm stuck to reading the manual to get some enjoyment from the game and to pass the time. :/

Is it just me, or does Hammer look a lot like a fat and ugly version of the heroine from Heavenly Sword? I wonder if that's intentional.

I read the manual just to see all the cool stuff to do

I'd recommend people do this. I know the aversion gamers have to reading manuals, and I have it too, but it's worth it for Fable 2. It's pretty detailed and I was a bit surprised by some of the things you can do/get/go to/etc that I didn't know before and possibly would have missed.

I think you're right. I just turned it on after having it on all night and I received only about 100,000 gold. For me, that would be ten "accumulations" of my wealth. I suppose that is the maximum they've set.

Is there a list of how to make the dog do learned tricks? I did not read the books that gave him new tricks and have no clue how to make them happen now. thanks.

I was looking for that yesterday but i dont think there is. Look at gamefaqs or get the strategy guide. That or just mess around and do expressions and see your dog's reaction.

So I'm really enjoying the game but I'm having a hard time understanding the story. I was wondering if some of the GAF crew could take away my confusion.

I'm not very far at all I just reached Oakvale:

Ok what is the deal with the Spire, and I thought you were the third hero with your sister being the fourth. Another thing is I'm not sure exactly why I'm going to Oakvale, I know its about reaching 3 hero's or something but it doesnt make much sense...
.

Thanks for the help.

Hey. Does anyone know the resale value of Fable II at Gamestop/EB at this point? Or what the typical value is on a game this early in its life? I pre-ordered the LE at Best Buy but got a copy of the regular early. However, now I want the extra dungeon/armor/sword.

If I understood it correctly, you or your sister were the "fourth" hero. The other 3 heroes are the first 3 ones. I think that's how it is, I got rather confused at that point as well.

I think the idea is that...
the fourth hero (you) is special in that you don't have a specific Hero "focus" like the others. You aren't bound to be a Will user, or a Strength user.

Found this...

Dog Tricks
begging - to see your dog do this, use a pick up line, ask someone back to your place, or beg.
Hide Snout - to see your dog do this belch, or fart.
Play Dead - to see your dog do this play dead yourself, accuse someone else of being a chicken.
Roll over - to see your dog do this seduce, worship, or apologize to someone.
Tail Chase - Perform a vulgar thrust, victory arm pump.
Backflip - show off a trophy.
Bunny Hop - dance, laugh, whistle, strike a heroic pose.
Growl - Perform any scary expression
Wave - blow a kiss, give a present, make someone follow or wait for you, or give them the thumb up or down
Targeted Urination - point and laugh at someone, insult them, or tell them to kiss your arse
****Keep in mind your dog can only do these actions if you find the tricks in a chest with his treasure hunting ability all the way up, or you can buy them in the bookstore in bowerstone. Then your dog performs these actions!!

Simply genius the design behind this. I mean i got a group of ten people standing around me while i was farting and my dog is next to me covering his nose, and the people respond to it about how cute the dog is. So awesome.

Can anyone with the limited edition game guide tell me if its worth it. I like that type of stuff. Last guide i got was the oblivion one and the final fantasy 12 LE.

I agree...I was playing last night and there were about 4 people in the first cave. They were asking what I was doing and I told them I was searching for Gargoyles...I would say 3 out of the 4 had no idea what I was talking about. I explained it to them and they never knew anything about it.

Can I do the Temple of Shadows thing without going evil?

There isn't a good/evil switch in the game really. I like straddling the grey area. Just make do some good things after to reverse the damage you've done to your sainthood.

They apparently never opened the manual...

Whats with people not reading manuals these days? Most of em are alot shorter than in the old days. Pretty clear and concise as well.

EDIT: Where is that Fable 2 players XBL list? I really want more friend orbs and henching opportunites :lol

Or people who want to be my henchman for that matter.

How much money do you donate to do that harvest benefactor thing and at what time?

First, make sure to donate enough times to get the quest going, which I assume you have. Then donate a single 10,000 lump sum between noon and 1pm.

Even funnier when people see your orb and ask you what the hell you're doing in their game, the first time they play.

"No, you're in my game" I tell them.

I'll admit I skip many...but RPG's it is the first thing I do...I actually opened the game in my car and read the manual before starting the car to leave :lol

Fable 2 co-op Thread

No problem :) Sorry it took me so long to put a name for the link. I've never tried that before so it took some time to figure it out.:lol

The dog in the game seems to be trained to not enter buildings with you.

But it won't even enter the house I own?

That seems like a silly oversight.

What they should have fixed though is villagers coming into your house without you asking. They need to respect boundaries.

Okay, I have two women that are in love with me. How do I do the deed?

I heard you take them back to your little wagon/caravan thing and bang them.

Unfortunately for me last night I got impatient and just killed them (dont drink and play rpgs), and now the damn guards in I forget which city are constantly attacking me.

I might restart my game idk

Yo

I havent touched the "orb" filter at all, and so far Ive only seen friends in my world, so I guess it is set to "friend's only" by default.

I have a few questions :

- If I set it to "everyone", is there a way to diferentiate friends in the mass of orbs ? Different color perhaps ?

- If I set it to "everyone", will I see the orbs of the people that have it set to "friends only" ? That would suck to try and talk to someone that isnt even seeing my orb !

- Is it really on "friends only" by default ? And where can we change it ?

Thanks.

Yeah...wanted to kill those villagers...love the dog!

I don't read them due to potential spoilerz...here's looking at you ICO manual.

So, two quick questions.

1) This is a question concerning something after you need to "do what you need to do before you leave".
When you come back, shouldn't you be getting 10 years worth of rent money, profits and so forth?

2) Relating to #1
Any real list or something to look out for as to what changed in those ten years? I haven't gotten to explore too much yet, but besides the Rookfield Inn being open now, I couldn't really tell too, too much.

1. Yes, friends will be green orbs
2. That im not sure of. I have heard a few people that seem like they are talking to themselves.
3. Nah its everyone by default and auto-join for if someone wants to jump in co-op with you. Just mess around in the options menu to change these.

So yeah I got married, had a child, then killed my husband and had the child taken away in the span of five minutes.

Oh well. Maxed out my blacksmithing at least woot woot.
