Safety keeps you hurting people. If you'd had it off, those people would have died. They were just scared because lightning blasted out of you.

Ahhh ok. Thanks.

You'd think the kids would think it was frickin' cool then. Like Gandalf and his fireworks or something...

By the way, the
sex-change
potion is real, and it is in
the Castle. But you have to use it when you pick it up. You can't hold onto it - if you don't choose to use it in the room that you get it in, then it disappears, and you won't get the chance again. And it is a one-time thing. Once you quaff it, there's no going back.

Are there any better looking hookers other than that hideous one in old bowerstone? Also, is it possible to get regular women to have sex with you without getting married?

Looking at the strategy guide, Lionhead did not skimp on the goods here. Good lord there is an awful lot more than i thought you could do.

See they handled that part of the PR correctly. Now we are all surprised instead of disappointed.

Exploration confirmed.

Are there items that can only be stolen and not bought?

Still waiting for someone to bust out with an old english song over XBL.

I dunno...the features list at the community for lionhead has it listed in a way that would indicate that the henchman/woman would AT LEAST look like your hero. All other restrictions aside. As for pictures of characters, I need to find a spot with a decent amount of light.

I believe the term was based on his hero, which could mean anything from the same attire to simply being the same alignment. But you'd be kidding yourself if you think people are whining about that and not the fact that they can't bring their hero in, which was never promised.

Hmm...well i'd be happy if they just looked like the exact same person.

So I can hear almost everyone around me in-game that are on my friends list but no one cane hear me? According to what I've heard from Tekno, this problem is not only affecting me.

I dont know about particularly having to "steal" the items but there seem to be a bunch of unique and special items, and legendary weapons.

So I got this and just finished the first cave. Fun but I know I'm not yet scratching the surface of awesomeness. I do like playing with my dog and holy crap what a joy it is to not have to worry about searching every corner of a path. The dog finds all the shit I need! His name is Kalibak, by the way. Go Final Crisis!

Seems to me like the bandit chicks at westfield are better looking ... well atleast some of them. There is one big lady with a sword on her back that always gives me this big ugly smile when I look at her... terrifying really..

Yup everyone else but friend list orbs can hear me. Went to the forums and posted there as well.

Is this game funny? The world so far is reminding me of the Discworld series, and that game was freaking hilarious.

it obviously depends upon your type of humour, but there's lots of little details that are meant to be funny. like a lot of the item descriptions and such.

Exactly!

Edit: I can punt chickens, I can be a giant lesbian mage. Where da orgies at!?

Any of you guys signing autographs? Kids keep asking me but I usually just blow them off and then they get mad.

In the final equation, the only way I can justify this purchase over Fallout 3 is the system co-op feature that - by all reports - is not what it was stated to be.

Just to confirm, you cannot import your hero in and out of other games, the "henchman" that seemed to be only for those who did not already have a character (like some friend of yours that just randomly comes over) is the only option for cooperative play, and said henchman character cannot be customized or own anything.

Oh, and the camera apparently makes cooperative play unmanageably frustrating, entirely unlike say, the X-Men: Legends or Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance experience?

That about sum it up?

And I'm sure this has been mentioned a million times, but these floaty controls are getting on my nerves.
Ive gotten used to them, but yes, the game could have been that much better if they had more responsive controls. Im not sure why they went with this method, im sure there was some technical reasoning or something.

Also, for those worried about these reviews saying how short it is and how the sidequests dont add much significant length, id say bs.

However, a lot of the extra content hinges on having the gold. The game is very balanced and careful about how the world economy works and how the player gets gold, so that whole fable pub games glitch was a bigger disaster than i think people realize. It kinda ruins the fun to import 20 million when it would literally take a variety of quests and real estate earnings to earn that in a legitimate way, probably 10 hours worth of play, or more.

I am surprised at some of the depth that goes into the secrets, for example

Slight spoiler but without details

You can buy an expensive property, and when you do something there it unlocks a new area, in which you must complete. Then go back to that area after you complete it, to unlock some secrets, and then buy a new property in that new area, to unlock even more secrets. There is also an instance where you buy an insanely large and expensive property, which unlocks new dungeons and gives you access to collectibles needed for achievements and such. Properties also naturally give you skill boosts so.... I was really worried they weren't gonna reward players but it seems like they;ve put the effort in to make sure all this stuff is worth doing.

Yeah. The henchman can be linked to your hero however, whatever XP and gold (I think) collected gets sent back to your hero when the session is over.

Well, okay, so no loot sharing - if the hero finds a wonderful gun, but is a swordsman, the hero can't pass the gun over to the friend.

Can the henchman itself level up at all then, and improve its efficacy?

Can the henchman customize stats towards being good at magic or ranged or melee, or is it only generic?

Has anyone actually played it? You can see anyone playing the game as an orb with their gamerpic, filter it to friends (default) or literally everyone, and interact with them by giving items, talking, or invite them into your game world, which I havent tried yet but it seems like they become a henchmen which is based off their character, with the same moves and abilities, and they get to keep their gold and EXP, you just can't take items out of their world into yours, and dont see your specific clothes, is that really so bad?

You get all the same items they find.

So if they find gold while you are with them you will get the gold too. It happened when I was playing with a friend.

Use the "come back to my place" expression on two or more women who like you, they'll follow you, find a bed, profit. I did it with two women in Bowerstone, but see how many you can rack up. I'm pretty sure in my game I could have sex with the whole city.

In that video he says that you bring your own character over if you are also playing Fable 2. Obviously that is not the case now. Bummer, but the single player is all I really need.

edit: At 4:10 he says something about the henchman being based off your hero. That part is kind of confusing...

The thing people are complaining about is really just the appearance. They didnt want to play as generic good, neutral,or evil men/women.

Hey, i found a demon door that wants meat but i cant figure out how to feed it to him.. it wont let me target him with LT and when i try to gift it to him i got a msg saying it has to be a person close enough blah blah blah ... any ideas??

Nah he says "Henchman". Thats the keyword cause he was referring to henchman presets that are chosen based on your character.

There's really no loot to talk about in the game. Don't worry about it.

Hammer sucks. I haven't yelled at my TV this bad since Eugine in Infinite Undiscovery.

this sounds like it's an issue with DLC more than anything. if you've bought certain DLC clothing or weapons, or an expansion pack, and your friend doesn't have that, you either get an error message saying 'no' or they strip you of those clothes for that game -- both are also less than ideal.

Could you be a bit more specific? At least tell what properties you're talking about? So I know if I've done this already or not.

That is probably exactly it.

talking about how you can buy brightwood tower, then sleep in the bed to go to dream world. The other place i was referring to is the castle for 1 million dollars which has an underground dungeon and gardens and such.

So I just finished the game. I have to say, it was one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played. It's story, is simply unmatched this generation, and arguably last generation for me as well.

The ending was perfect. The music and sound was some of the best I have EVER heard in a videogame. The graphics were top notch, the combat was great and it it seemed to last just the right length for me. Hell, even the credits were the best credits I have ever seen.

I was a bit skeptical when I first started out. I even felt slightly disappointed during the beginning. But as I continued to play, and actually got to see how much I influenced the world, had the story pan out, and how much I changed personally, it turned out to be one of my favorite games of all time.

For the next game, I do hope they get the camera issues in order. I also hope the world is open and grand like Oblivion. That was my biggest let down, but when I stopped wanting it to be Oblivion, and realized it was it's own game, I stopped caring. Outside of that, I did not experience any major bugs. I would also demand a Mini Map for Fable III.

Even though it had some flaws IMO (No Mini Map, Not open like Oblivion) I would not hesitate to give this game a 9.5-10.

It's clear to me, after finishing the game, and reading various reviews. Many of the reviewers did not bother to finish the game. A lot of the people complaining on the boards about glitches were clearly playing the pirated copy. Or maybe the patch fixed things like people walking around with chairs attached to them etc.. The fact people like Gamespot can praise GTAIV for it's story, and give Fable II an 8.5, make me question some of their motives, or if they finished the game in the first place.

Anyway, overall loved it. Well worth the money. Bring on Fallout 3 and GOW2, but they are going to need to do a hell of a job to beat Fable II for GOTY IMO.
