Official Fable II Thread

Yeah that one took me awhile too because I thought it wouldnt be inside any houses. Now that I think about it there was another one I couldnt find in old town close to that little park area I think that one is inside a house too... or I just didnt look hard enough.

My gargoyle nemesis was the one to your left as you enter Bowerstone. I must have looked for him for an hour one night. I still hear his taunts in my head, "kiss my stony ass." I shot it off for him instead. Very satisfying.

:lol That one was a little easier to find for me but still took me awhile.

Whoever said Fable II enemies werent challenging lied. I dunno if they scale with you or not, but I just ran into a pack of bandits screwing with a guard outside of Bowerstone. Really put up a good fight. They killed the guard though.

Continuing on my way to knock out some community service (apparently the entire town got pissed at me for missing my first appointment...which wasnt MY fault since the bandits blocked the damn path in the first place) at the gypsy camp, I run into a bunch of hobbes terrorizing the camp. I thought it would be an easy fight since thats what my community service punishment was.

I ended up dying after getting double teams by two fairly large hobbes. Luckily I had a res vial on hand.

EDIT: Where is everyone?! The entire camp is empty and its daytime!

You should have asked this earlier.

I did. Twice I believe, or maybe three times, I don't remember. I'm sure someone knows the answer to it and since no one reads past the final page of a thread, I would like to have that person who knows the answer see the question. I need to open the demon doors is all.

I know, hence my comment.

The reason I didn't answer is because I don't know. I have the middle finger expression, but I don't recall how I got it. Likely from the book store in Bowerstone because that's where I got the majority of my expressions, but I'm not sure. I never found the dreadlocks either. I haven't checked the appearance shop there recently, I'm not sure if they rotate their "stock" like most other stores do.

Edit:
The name of the book was The Finger, or something to that affect. It may have been a book I got for free for buying the bookstore.

I'm only a short ways into the game, but when the lord of the mansion said
"Would you kindly?
I immediately harkened back to Bioshock. Anyone else?

A question...How do you aim at different body parts with ranged weapons? I have Level 2 aiming but basically all it does is change to over the shoulder and lock on to the enemies chest. Am I missing something?

Sub-targeting is the level 4 upgrade.

I did the exact same thing. When she hesitated and didn't respond immediately, I laughed a little.

its more useful on Room 8
i shouldn't have been using the gun. Just slow time stand next to the target and wipes out all the "nodes"

Actually, after trying it four times, slowing time against him is a horrible, horrible idea. It slows him down but the counter keeps going at the regular rate, though it shows you an incorrect time. So, when I just finished him and the clock on my screen said I'd done it it about 1:30, the official round timer said I'd taken 2:30. Are you using a targeted level 5 Inferno or an area effect?

Okay, confidence in Amazon.com +10. I ordered the limited edition from them yesterday afternoon with two-day shipping, only to have it arrive today with plenty of time to play before dinner. Awesome.

I already answered. You do not need corn rows, you need Dreadlocks, just like the door says.

The gravestones in this game are great. All dev team members. Just found Peter's.

Peter Douglas Molyneux.

"PDM. This is the best grave in history and will change the way people look at final resting places forever."

Oh, ok. Sorry I didn't see it and thanks to you both.

Another quick question: How do I stop a marriage? I got engaged, but I want to reject her before we officially get married. Can I get another rejection notice?

Where do I get the cornrows (braids, whatever) hairstyle or the middle finger expression?
You get the braids through getting level 1 in the Towers card game. I earned this with the pub games before picking up Fable 2.

Dreadlocks are for sale at the barber shop in Bloodstone, I just double checked.

Legend Confirmed.

this thread is getting hard to read. it seems like there's starting to get a lot of spoilers that aren't tagged as such.

Sorry for being so short. I'm just pissed at the stupid Crucible. Anyway, as someone said, the Dreadlocks haircut is in Bloodstone.

Anyone know how to get the gargoyle in the Bowerstone carriage house? I see him back there and can hear him, but there's a carriage blocking the door and I can't shoot it.

You'll be able to get to him after the Hero of Will quest.

This is the best Fable 2 thing I've read. Played Lost Chapters on the PC, and I'll probably try this if it comes out for the PC eventually. I seem to recall the gravestones in Fable 1 were also amusing...

Damn, 1up confirmed there is no heavy armor type for clothing options. Same for weapon styles being slim. Maybe they'll release some free DLC for more clothing and weapon styles.

After you beat the game, what are your options for replay value?

Can you play through again with your original character? Do you unlock anything?

Can you go back to the main part of the game and do quests you missed?

You can continue to play after you beat the story. To replay the story you have to start a new character.

Apparently stuff in the world changes, new quests open up, and more.

Help, cant find all of
Captain Dreads treasure
I got 8 out of 10, can't find the last two.

Some of it is in the water, and also one sort of hidden in the wrecked ship.

Man I just found the best way to make money. I bought all the weapons stores out in the area and then sold them all to a weapon store that was having a shortage. I practically doubled my money that way.

I dove down for one, got one from the wrecked ship, two from the island (one buried one chest), two from the rim (one by the waterfall, one jump down), and then two in the path back
where's the others?

Edit: Anyone? And if I leave before finding it all will it still give me the quest?

donate 10k during the zenith hour.

Did that remove it from your Quest list? If it did then some of us are experiencing a bug. I've been given the Rising Sun twice now, and the quest still remains.

Side Quest Question:
I did the quest where you need to kill the farmer to get a key to go into his basement with some bandits to get some treasure I unlocked the basement but was only able to find some diary. Was that the actual treasure or was there a way to get to the second room in there
