Do you get any discounts if you marry a shop owner? One of the tailors in Bowerstone is after me.

I assume you'd just get the maximum "love" discount, which is like 7%. But if you buy the store you get like a 39% discount.

i'm a bit bummed about my LE copy.

My Halo sword is already weaker then a sword i picked up just wondering around and i am still very early in the game.

I paid 10 bucks just for that sword and want it to kick ass.
i already even got three augments on it and still it's weaker then my other option.

why would they do that to us?

could they not have made you get it at 1st and just made it so you can't carry it due to weight or something? then later in the game u can and take advantage of the power!!

Two quick things. Trying to progress along the main quest line, and for some reason I'm like stuck. The dude in the temple wont talk to me until I have more renown, and nothing I can do in the town other than make a statue gives much renown... so what do I do?

Also, I can't be the only one who before they go to bed for the night turns the safety off and jerks around :lol Got married to some random barmaid and took her back to my house. Nothing I would do would get her to sleep with me, until this random monk wanders into my house. I kill him and right after that she is willing :lol Wake up the next day, I have a kid, who I turn uber evil by just shooting over the cradle, and then she tries to run away before I take her out :lol

This is a bug. I believe it happens when you run away from the abbot before he's finished talking. I think you're screwed.

I got a legendary weapon. "The Daichi" is the name of it. Also trying to find a ranged legendary weapon, it's a blunderbuss.

Which region is Farmer Giles' farm? I want to buy it.

EDIT: Found the farm.

Thinking of getting this game. Is there a lot of stuff to do in a kind of black and white sense as in doing sidequests and mucking about sort of situation? Or is there a lot of stuff to do in an oblivion sense like doing guild quests and exploring a massive world? Also can you turn off that gold guide that everyone seems to be talking about. Thanks for any feedback.

Lost on the end of the last page thanks for any replies :)

Okay, I've gathered enough RENOWN points and I need to go talk to the Abbot for "The Ritual" quest, but a monk blocks the entry and I can't get in?

Can anyone help?

Not familiar with those games, but I can confirm that you're able to disable the gold breadcrumb trail (you can also change the brightness of it, so that it'll still be there but very subtle).

This game needs two things:

1) Armor DLC, at a reasonable price, if not free (take a cue from Criterion!)

2) A LEGITIMATE MAP, PLEASE

Then it'll be poifect.

I can't emphasize the importance of the second one enough.

The combat never gets real difficult, but dude... you're an hour into the game. You're still fighting beetles and low level bandits. Combat gets better - you get guard, flourishes, combos for the melee weapon, aiming at body parts for the ranged weapon, and 8 spells with 2 variations and 5 power levels for magic.

He probably doesn't even have more than one spell yet.

Picks up once you learn more skills and fight tougher enemy's(although the game never really gets tough especially if you have loads of money like me)

If it isn't one of those the only thing I could think of would be trying to scare him out of the way.

It says that you have to leave when The Abbot is talking to you but he was finished and the women told me what I had to do for this quest.

Seriously, if it's a variation of the same bug I'm pretty pissed. This game is going to the bottom of my "To Play" pile. Goddamit. Fuck you Lionhead. You could've fixed that before shipping!!

It's the single save slot that really fucks it up.

Just started the game and finished the childhood portion.

Wow, I haven't played a game this charming and well voice acted in a while.

I probably won't continue playing since I have other games on my plate, but I'm really looking forward to getting into Fable 2 later this winter.

Great stuff.

There's that, but a game-breaking bug is freakin' unacceptable! Jeez, I've put about 7-8 hours into it and now I'm told it was for nothing? That sucks big time.

I completely understand. Hell, I caught a game-breaking bug right at the end of the childhood section and even something that trivial annoyed me. :lol

Can't even imagine getting stuck where you're at.

I doubt it's the same bug. It's a monk blocking the path right? Scare him. Make him follow you and dismiss him when you get it cleared, or you can always kill him.

I can highlight him, see his stats, but I can't interact with him in any way. There are two of them; one's in the doorway and the other is a bit in front of him......god, this sucks. I'm really enjoying the game and then it slaps me in the face. Awesome 60$.......

Well, if I can't find a way around it, I'll get Fallout 3 next week and shitcan Fable 2 'til next year during a slow game-release period. One thing's for sure, Fable 3 is on my "later on" list when it's gonna be released.

This is similar to what happened to me in the childhood section. The sister disappeared from the game world and I wasn't able to trigger the final quest, presumably because it involves her speaking. I could highlight the guy and check his stats, but that's it.

Is your dog still around you? Can you hold A and still run? When I glitched up, I couldn't do the latter.

Yup, everything works except for the two monks in front of the temple...

Ok, you get past the technical issues when you are enjoying the game. However I have one big issue. Today I invited a friend to join me online, and he couldnt use his character. WTF? What is experience good for if he cannot use his character. Like WTF!

Oh, God... I don't know whether to steal
Lady Grey from the crazy Frankenstein type doctor or let him have her.

I don't want to lose out on buying the house when he leaves...

Edit: Hehe... She's mine now.

Edit: Nah... I don't want her. [Reload]

Edit: Ah, crap. Autosave. Oh well... I don't have to marry her if I don't want to... right?

Getting my LE screwed out of the DLC content, and having three friends have game-breaking bugs or freezes has killed my desire to play this in the immediate future, I think I'm going to wait until they get another patch out or something. Have they said anything about what they're going to do for the LE people that didn't get the DLC cards yet?

So, can anybody tell me if I can play online coop with a friend while both of us use our respective SP characters?

I stole her too... with her being the most attractive one so far.
