I did the crucible twice now (once in the story) and I got 4 perfect rounds the first time, 5 the second. I got a reward both times but it wasn't really worth it. Maybe you only get a reward if you beat your previous record?
The room with the guys shooting you from the balcony and others coming at you from below it is fuck hard, I have no idea how I'm gonna do that within the time limit.

What I do is vault off the starting balcony right after I start the round, and run up without stopping to the opposite balcony. Then I just do flourishes from that point. You'd also have enough time to pull off a lvl3-5 spell at the start. But you don't need to move around, just stay in that one spot and everyone will come to you.

I have trouble with the one after, the highwaymen (I think) in the circular room, and the troll at the end. Can't finish those in time.

Quick question. I have the perfect replica now of FRANKENSTEIN! from Seven Soldiers. I have a Master Longsword with a slot for Mad Gold For Every Kill.

I need NEED to know if there is a Master Clockwork Pistol (BECAUSE IT'S FRANKENSTEIN!) that has a slot for my XP Bonus Crystal and, IF SO, where can I buy it and for how much?!?!?

:D

I was previously kinda Ho-hum on the game until it all came together. the world is absolutely breathtakeing. Watching the sun rise from a high cliff is awesome.

The combat really drew me in more and more, the way you can cast spells so ewaily is a big change. Also the effects for the spells are really cool.

The way you unlock more and more moves and spells is incremental, but really natural and a welcome addition. IO dare say that F2 combat is more advanced and more FUN than TH (sorry Denis).

But really its the way that there no longer any walls put up re: what can happen where. Yes there's some heavy handed hand holding in the beginning, but its Just Mollyneux showing you the way, like a gentle set of training wheels that slowly peel off.

Idont have patience for wandering around in RPGs, so I never really dug Obliviuon. However, I love the gold trail as well as the menu system that lets you do pretty much anything anytime. No need to search for that tore, family location quates etc, the fast travel is really how it should be.

I was really leery of eurogamers 10/10 review, but now that I've played the game more, it really is deserved.

The only graphical problem is the ever present screen tearing, but Its not a deal breaker, the framerate holds up, but more importantly the worlds lighting, shadowing, image quality and art design are simply breathtaking.

Even details like how drab and ugly things get at night, as well as the abundance of badness that comes out at night...

Awesome. This game came sooo close to getting traded.

Thanks, Ill try that :) Yeah those two are the others I haven't beaten yet. The troll is difficult to target but I kinda blame myself for not dodging his attacks properly sometimes. The other one I think the trick is to stand in the middle spamming the traps that hit the guys on the side (cause they take the most time to kill) while fighting off the waves.

Just completed this but I dont want it to end : ( . Its like the worst video game feeling ever, even worse than being disappointed.

Finished the game last night on my second play through now.

Fan-freaking-tastic game but I was disappointed in a few things. First was the story, not because it was bad but rather cause it could have been quite great but in the end it felt extremely incomplete and was less and less detailed as things went along and was far less important to the game's experience than it should have been. If they dont add substantial DLC story stuff like TLC for the original I will be really mad.

The second thing I was disappointed with was the amount of items in the game, their were barely any clothes available especially compared to what others wore in the game and weapons also felt rather shallow, I went through the whole game without using augments and only saw like 4 or 5 of them in all. Weapons as well were kind of an after thought I used maybe 5 or 6 in my 30+ hour play through. Once I hit Westcliff and bought a Master Cleaver nothing else after replaced it.

Lastly was the interaction, I do agree with others that there should be some more depth to it, especially when courting a wife/husband and interacting with them and your children but my main problem was that it was just soo easy to make people love you. I would walk into a new area and without even doing anything have a score of people with hearts above their head asking me for a ring. I would really like them to patch the game so getting people to love you took some actual tact and work.

The game is a fucking glitchy fest. My dog is gone, I restarted, I tried fast travelling, I've done everything and he won't show up. Just like that. What the fuck. SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE FUCK. After 16 hours of enjoyment this stupid asshole-glitch came by. Did the developers actually tested the game before shipping? all these glitches shouldn't be in a game like Fable.

If there's no workaround for this I'm selling it tomorrow.

I had the same thing, slept at an inn for a week and pow he was outside. The result of fast travelling when its hurt i think.

You know what would be awesome...

big ass ending spoilers

DLC quest to resurrect your dog, I'd pay all kinds of space bucks for that.

Oh boy I hope I don't have the same glitch. The last 5-10 min. I played last night my dog was nowhere to be found. I'll try a week at an Inn if he is indeed gone.

So, I'm guessing there is a Master Clockwork Pistol with slots but everyone is hiding it from me because THEY want to make the perfect FRANKENSTEIN?

Not cool, guys....

:(

You didn't use your Elixir. I bet he's lying dead in a ditch somewhere. D:

For those who have finished the game (or at least past the crucible)

I have heard this game is quite short. I have just gone through the marshes on my way to the third hero, the pirate guy, how much longer is the single player story?

What the best melee wepaon out there? Don't get me wrong, I like this hammer, but if theres like a super awesome sword I can have I'd take it instantly.

The strongest sword I have is the Master Longsword :D

Speculation and spoilers...

I don't think we'll see Theresa as evil in DLC. More likely Fable 3.
As for a quest to resurrect your dog...That'd be fucking awesome.
I'd also like to see some more clothes and maybe weapons in the DLC along with quests.

Fucksticks.

Copy > pasted my save to another save medium so i could start handing out master chief armours to a friend (and one GAFFER).

Then my Xbox died.

I was buying a tattoo in Westcliff.

OWNED.

If you did nothing outside what you have to do in order to finish the game, you've probably got 3 or so hours left, but the game has at least 15 hours of really well put together side quests (plus a not insignificant amount of stuff you wont find on the quest menu) on top of a 10 hour story so I don't see how anyone can call it short.

I have a Katana that does 91 damage and does lightning damage on top of that, I got it from
Acherons Knot, which you can find if you look around the Brightwood Tower.

Yeah I just read that. Also, how do you get perfect rounds in the fight arena?

In the bottom right of the screen there's a target time for each round, just beat that.

** MAY CONTAIN MINOR SPOILERS **

I finished the game last night and I have to say this game is way too over rated. First and for most the game looks absolutely rough all around, there is more tearing than there is frame rate issues.. considering how terrible the QA has gotten I will even say there are no frame rate problems. TO PUT IT SIMPLY, LH TOOK THE SOURCE OF FABLE I AND BUILT FABLE II FROM THERE... this game is Up-scaled Fable 1. ALL the mini games SUCK. THIS GAME DOES NOT BUILD ANYTHING ON TOP OF FABLE 1 and DOES NOT BOTHER TO IMPROVE, from the looks of it it seems as if the developement team gave up and said we are going to ship the game now.
After you had all 4 "HEROES" together you should have at least gone on some epic battles or treasure hunts or what not... not just one battle with 4 waves of freakin lame enemies.

Secondly to put it simply, the story SUCKED, and I did not feel any immersion or any attachment. I will like to say that the navigation and leveling up was one of the worst and I never bothered to upgrade or buy any weapons and only magic I used was Time Slow down and a bit of Inferno... THE MAP... don't even get me started on this SHITTY MAP ... still after completing the game I do not understand the map and if it can be any helpful.

The mini games ... all of them SUCKED... and by Sucked I mean ... SERIOUSLY ... SUCKED with a Capital S. ALL you do it time and Press A.... thats all.

I am sorry but I am glad I did not waste money on this garbage game and in fact rented it.

BOTTOM LINE: if you are like me and thought that Fable 1 was a good game and wanted to play Fable II... RENT FABLE II as you will be pretty disappointed if you have high hopes from a big mouth like Peter Molonyx, in my opinion only satisfactory game Peter can make is
Daikatana II

You're entitled to your opinion but I have to disagree, Fable 2 is anything but garbage. Masterpiece in my eye. P.S.: play the game as it is, screw the reviews and the hype. You'll game better in general, trust me.

And thanks for all the suggestions guys, I'll try them as soon as possible. Hope it'll work.

So you loved Fable and yet you can't appreciate that this game actually shows you the consequences of your actions and forces you to think about how good or evil you want to be?

Your impressions read like you played the game with your eyes closed. Or maybe, considering the grammar and spelling, drunk.

Did you just slice through the main quest or something?

I really like the golden trail and dog. They are occasionally a bit buggy and disappear, but overall I prefer them to a permanent minimap.

ya grammar and spelling are really necessary for Fable II.

Is there a way to make is so people don't run away when they see me and still be evil?

The only way I've found is keeping them happy. You may have to chase them down first also if you get a big crowd it's helpful too.

Holy shit... there's an unbelievable amount of "hidden" dungeons in this. I've been searching for gargoyles and stumbled upon at least 7 ones I'd missed playing through the game.

...and there was me thinking I was being observant and careful. :lol

so there is no easy way to do it. If I kill everyone do the people who replace them automatically hate me?

Damn man, did you try not to have fun or something? As far as playing Fable 1, you should know as well as anyone that Fable isnt about the main story in itself, its about building your heroic tale up until and after that point.

My first bounty hunter mission was to kill a bunch of beetles at the house where my wife lived.

I ran to said house and as I was entering the door she died and they took my kid away.

How do I teach my dog to do a backflip?
So, about the ending, I don't want to loose the dog, what choice do I have to make ? Thanks
you should go with the
love ending. that way you will get your family and dog back

So, I only played a few hours of Fable 1 and thought it was alright but couldn't really get into it....

Likewise, I own Mass Effect and Oblivion- and invested only a handful of hours into both.

But I got this game a few days ago- and damn I love it! I can't really relate to other peoples complaints. I think it looks great. Huge draw distance, excellent lighting, good art direction, lush foliage. It doesn't look perfect (with some tearing and whatnot) but the way people carry on you'd get the impression that it looks bad. It doesn't. Combat is a lot of fun, and the dialogue is hilarious.

I look around, and I see a lot of people hating on this game. But for me, it's one of the best games of the year. Hell, I even have fun playing same screen co-op with my girlfriend despite it's limitations. It's still very playable.

Injured dog limps slowly and often appears to have disappeared, but is really just super far behind. It's a mistake all of us have made I'm sure. Just teleport to a new area, and he'll teleport with you.

How do I turn on the ability to interact with XBL orbs. I was able to see peoples stats and invite, gift items etc... Now I can see everyone but can't interact. Any suggestions?
