Official Fable II Thread

Getting married and executing my wife did the trick though; she got elecrocution. Awesome new sword! That's what the bitch gets for refusing to boink her hubby. I played with her bones.

Even I'm not that sick.

Who am I kidding? I've shot most of my numerous wives.

Some interesting quests i got post end game

1. Saving my kid who wanted to be like his old dad, a hero lost in the hobbe cave. Really nice touch.

2.Some guy sending my wife a blackmail letter after i married Lady Grey. He wanted 2K gold. If i killed the guy he would tell everybody. Well i killed him. Still have my wifes. It said i was too cheap to keep it hush hush. But no way am i letting someone blackmail me! The quest was neat but the ending really was pointless.

Anyways I got the full 1K in this game. Getting the Gargoyles was annoying

Weird..
I have 2 houses in Oakfield, that I can't sell/rent...

Only have an option to redecorate them..is that the least one I got in there, didn't noticed that it had a sack/bag covered with blood hanging from the ceiling.. :/ ..but the wife and 2 kids love the house since I put new tables and beds.. :/

Anyone else had the skip conversation thing stuck at the top of the screen? Can't use the A button which is a bit irritating.

I'm going to have to start again aren't I?

Anybody try to get real fat in this game? I was trying. I think that levelling up skill and strength reduces your fatness, however, which is a bummer. Is their a place in the game where you can check your fat meter?

Oh yeah, and I wanted to get as red and demony as the front cover of the game. But Im totally evil and corrupt and I'm not red. Anyone know if you can die your skin?

Also, anyone max out their scars? I'm gonna try to do that soon too.

Check your Logbook under appearance. If Fatness is -20, congrats, you're there.

Basically, where it says percentage, 100% is -20; every 5% is -1 to your appearance. To my knowledge, nothing but celery reduces it, and that's -5% at a time.

is it possible to have several heroes in the same hard drive or is this pokemon style where you can only have one save file?

thanks

The former. When you continue your game it asks you to pic the hero you want to load.

My fatness is at -29, so I guess I'm pretty fat. Not as fat as I was before I got strong, though.

You could always unlearn physique.

But then I wouldn't be able to kick as much ass... but its a good idea, I will unlearn it and see if it does anything, and take a picture with the fat physique and maxed out scars. Then I will reset or something.

Holy shit!
Lady Grey is invincible!
So the bitch tells me she's leaving me (what is this, the fourth wife now?) and so in traditional fashion I pull out the Enforcer to teach her a lesson - in front of the kid, of course. Run ahead a little, zoom in, left bumper, aim for head... BLAM! I wince a little, expecting a headless corpse to roll out in front of me. But she just strolls out of the smoke unharmed. I desperately try to execute her with everything I could find, slicing her around Bloodstone with my Daichi, ending up shooting at her - and all the nosy bastards thinking it's a good idea to take pot shots at me - with my Master Clockwork Pistol. All to no avail. She and the kid leave (into Wraithmarsh, lol) and I'm left in a town where I just executed 90% of the population. Sigh.

I hated Fable. Absolutely HATED it. Fell asleep during playing multiple times hated.

Is this such a huge improvement as everyone says or is it just the hype train? I'm weary.

It's a big improvement on many levels but I don't understand why you'd even be interested in a sequel to a game that you HATE HATE HATE.

I had to save my game in the hobb cave in Rookridge, when I reloaded the save, my character is now stuck in a standing position and slides around like R2-D2. I've tried different animations, expressions, sleeping, fighting, reloading the save....he's stuck. Good job MS playtesters

Because I may want to try it? I'm hearing a lot of good things about this game.
Sure, okay. Still doesn't make a lot of sense tho. I mean I hear a lot of good things about Gears 2 but fuck if I'm gonna play another one of those.

Finally finished the game after, I dunno, about a week or so. I've already admitted I've moved through at a snail's pace. The ending has a lot more potency at the end if you've really seen your character evolve in between all the quests and such. Main decisions I made during the game are as follows:

Disobeyed the evil guy, I forget his title. I knew I'd end up putting a bullet between his little cat eyes anyway, so fuck 'im.

Gave the girl the seal and let her grow old. She deserves it more than me, I don't wanna grow old!

Chose Love. The fuck do I care if Spire workers are brought back to life? My dog died for me and I wanted more hot zombie sex with Lady Grey. And Hammer can quit her whining; I wanna kill that bitch. Reaver rocks, I got his mansion. Shame he's gonna kill me (or try) if he ever comes back.

Gonna finish finding some more little bonuses and such and then craft and evil female character - no, I'm not taking the potion.

I honestly believe this game was made entireley for DLC. Im not talking in a bad-take-your-money-horse-armor way. Im talking about leaving hooks in the world with the books and story to expand upon it over time!

I hope they deliver the new contents fairly soon though. And you are right
Reaver rocks. "Right, plan B then?!!"
:lol

He shot poor Bernard (?) and i just stood there :( I hope they add a side quest about his death, i liked him

All 3 heros also mentioned we'll bump into each other, maybe in Samerkand ? I really cannot wait for the DLC

clashfan said:
Yeah I just finished that quest. Now no more hair. I didn't even know there is a stylist in the game. Where can I find a stylist?

In Bowerstone. Look for the Barber pole. Also, the person is usually pretty slow in getting to the shop.

So, this is the last day for Microsoft to get out the LE DLC codes if they're sticking to "10 working days". I can't fucking believe the game came out 22 days ago and they've done nothing for us.

Someone should file a class action lawsuit.

Thy should at least give up something to make up for it like free MS points. I've played and finished this game (one time is enough for me) and I never got access to the stuff I payed for.

I'd completely agree if it wasn't so damn easy to top your character out.

How excited for DLC am I going to be when my character can't get more powerful, other than finding a better weapon?

They either needed to be tighter with experience or have added more skills to acquire.

If they'd had a more open ended skill progression then I'd be all for more content. Break brutal and dexterous styles up by weapon category (slashing and blunt, blunderbuss, rifle, crossbow, and pistol) and put some more meat into the spell system (skills for faster casting times, larger radius effects, etc. while also letting you quick swap your spell tree with any four other spells with a click of the d-pad while charging).

Hell, do that and tighten up the experience. Make it tough on someone who isn't going straight strength, skill, or will to top even a single one of them out, not having all three topped out before I even finish the first storyline.

master chief armor/plasma sword
extra dungeon and legendary weapon
Hmm... I never got any codes yet I got the master chief armor and sword when I opened the first chest in the game. I haven't finished yet, so I don't know anything about extra dungeons yet.

Is this codes thing depending on region or do you automatically get master chief stuff then dungeon via codes?

Can't see it posted so..

Fable 2: Upcoming Announcement

Normally, we don't like to tease too much. You know, all this hype being generated by teasing the announcement that there will be an announcement in X-number of days. Who cares? But in this day and age where a gazillion titles are asking for your attention, I felt it might be the right thing to do on the blog. We've got some G o o d [Good] news for all Fable II fans next week, dare I even say it's quite a big announcement? Yes of course I dare say it's a big announcement regarding Fable II, next week!

In other news, if you are still hungry for the backstory on Fable and Fable II, check out our Tales of Albion feature. The map of Travels in Today's Albion has been pretty much completely revealed now...

Lost Chapters 2?

It's a fair amount of hype and quite broken in a few places.

It's definitely a make your own fun kindof game mostly due to sloppy development on Lionhead's part...

Sounds like DLC announcement is coming, horay!

Please be more than just costumes, or at least the promise of more than just costumes in the future.

I'm assuming you can still do most of the quests after you beat the game.. like
Sacrificing to the Shadows, and buying Lady Grey's Mansion
. Is this correct?

Yeah, there's only a couple that get shut off... and they're nothing worth doing.

"10 working days" have passed. Microsoft are a bunch of fucking liars.

Was about to post the same thing. I've had the Limited Edition pre-ordered since it was announced and I still don't have the stuff I've already paid for. This fucking sucks.
