Official Fable II Thread

Nightmare Hollow
is fucked up.

Seeing as how we're gonna be super best friends, what are your hobbies? Sometimes I like to kill people.

Chesty, you crazy fucker.

struggling to make time for Fable 2 now that gears2 and Fallout are here.

the game is really samey now, all sidequests feel the same, run here, kill baddies, go get reward. Blah. I hope the main story keeps things fresh and isn't just more run here, kill this, progress. The spire was awesome for this, was just totally off the beaten path.

I've levelled up my flame spell so much that its almost overpowered, there's no point switching to other spells is there? Other than for fun. Its a shame I can't do spell combos easier and feel like a badass wizard or something.

I'm wondering if there is even anymore point to doing sidequests, I may as well go on to finish the main story and MAYBE start again as evil and rush through it or transform my character to evil just to see it done.

I suppose there's always achievements to go for as well.

There's no point doing anything extra, just rush through the game and move on

Don't take this advice.

Look out for the unique side quests (non-repeatable ones) they are usually pretty cool, and some change the game later on.

Not just the unique side quests... some of the demon doors / properties contain the best locations / content in the game.

The side quests are more enjoyable than the main storyline in my opinion.

But the game play only gets more "blah" as your character gets closer and closer to topping out. Spell use is too shallow and the game simply lacks any real challenge.

That was so awesome.

Sometimes I like to chop the legs off adventurers, and then watch them crawl to water only to realize it's filled with flesh eating creatures!

One of the best sidequests in the game.

Yeeeeees! The quest was great and the final reward and the message that went along with it were amazing.

I really liked playing this game, but the final hour was extremely disappointing to me. I love the combat system, the dog, the alignments and how in depth they are, but I really like a good campaign mode. It flew bye and was extremely easy. I "died" once when I was eating a sandwich, and the shard at the end was a joke. I literally just zapped it, moved, hit a couple of baddies, and repeat.

The end was also very anticlimactic. I chose the family so that I would be able to find treasures after I finished the game, but the responses were so boring. Reaver was my favorite character, but I got to see him for the last hour or so. He fought with me once. He was so kick ass.

I'm going to go kill some innocent villagers to make myself feel better. Maybe I'll sacrifice 20 to the temple of shadows at once.

I just played the first 3 hours of the game. I'm just not feeling the game right now. Control feels sludgy, collision and interactions are sloppy, and the interface is crude and time consuming to wade through. There is a certain charm to the game though and I'll likely play it for at least a few more hours where it will hopefully get its feet on the ground.

Was about to post the same thing. I've had the Limited Edition pre-ordered since it was announced and I still don't have the stuff I've already paid for. This fucking sucks.

Same here, I came to check out this thread to see if I was the only one who hadn't gotten an email, guess not.

If you want more of Reaver, go buy his house. Not saying anything else. Apart from his awesomeness goes up x100

Do you have to be evil to do this quest??

No you have to
buy Garth's Tower in Brightwood, then go sleep in the bed at the top of the tower.

For some reason I did the quest twice, after I completed the game the quest popped up again in my mission log for some reason. Thought it might have led to a different dream state but it was exactly the same

Lame, this missing DLC crap has totally soured me on this game.

seriously. I'm pretty pissed off right now. I'll probably call back again sometime this weekend to see if they have an answer...

My child daughter was white yesterday.

Today? She is black.

....

And now, I'm invisible.

.....

Damn this game :(

I've got almost 800 of the 1,000 achievements (only did one ending for example) and I absolutely loved this game. I'm pretty much done now but man, I can't wait for any DLC that may come.

Same thing happened to me! I thought I was the only one.

With a name like that you'd think it was a chick with big tits.

This game was amazing. I played the main quest and most of the side quests through with a focus on being good and (mostly) pure. The ending (of the main quest) evoked, for me, a lot of emotion. I don't think I've ever played a game that was able to create such an emotional moment.

So, im really loving this game. Im coming back to it after going to other games like Mirrors Edge and such.

But they need to patch this thing really badly. There are some bad bugs here. I cant purchase furniture, and one of my kids AI is dead. He just stands there and does nothing. There are other small issues but without the bugs the game would be so much better.

As it is though there is so much to do, and i just reached a point in the main story where time went forward a few years and i love how all the locations changed and the seasons changed.

Im a chick and I also married Celeste the Whore and she like getting smacked and beaten, and we have sex frequently.

Shouldn't really be spoilered, but just in case.
Perfect Day absolutely connected with me in ways I can not properly describe. Far and away one of my favorite levels ever.

There will be another place to buy furniture. It's probably been mentioned before, but what I am imagining happens is that the NPCs are buying up all the good stuff.

I ran into a bug @ Archon's Keep that not only prevents me from getting the end reward, but a silver key as well.

I just wanted to note how awesome the combat system is in this game. The seamless toggling between gun, mêlée and magic, the steadily branching combo and move set systems, the ease of targeting intended enemies. The feedback loop is rock-solid and it's just fun to play. I'm finding myself running all over the place just finding guys to fight because it's simply fun. Heck, I go on mass slaughter sprees and then conduct "community service" just to fight more. I'm really impressed by how intuitive and satisfying it feels.

Oh the things I've done. :lol

And more to the point, oh the things this game let's me do. They actually took some of the horrific things you could do in the sandbox of the first game and turned them into quests in this one.

I almost feel bad about executing my wife. Almost.

That's funny about the community service. I also never feel like it's punishment at all in this game. Whenever that option comes up I just think "sweet! more fighting." The combat is addictive and excellent in so many ways, especially when it comes to the tactile feedback (which you noted) and the brilliant particle effects when you're unleashing spells and such.

Combat is a lot of fun but targeting with the gun kinda sucks. Lock on is just off sometimes and pressing L to lock on and it not catch your target takes you out of the reticule shooting which really breaks the flow of combat and oft causes me to get smacked around till I can start the process over.
