Second practice session is on Speed Channel right now...looks like it's gonna be soaking wet all weekend, with a typhoon heading in.

They're gonna delay this race. I have a bad feeling. A fucking typhoon is no joke. That said, I think the BStones have this on lock, which means Michael has pole and the win on lock too. His favorite track in conditions that favor him best. Yeah baby, lucky #13 coming this weekend. :D PEACE.

Well, looks like Michelin has the upper hand so far in the damp conditions...Montoya's way out in front after the first few runners. We'll see how it goes the rest of the way.

Overall a good day in motor sport first bathaurst then japanese f1 gp (albeit time delayed because of bathaurst).

Bathaurst was good, quite a few incidents including V8 supercar vs kangaroo (http://members.ii.net/~jedabe/dan/Kangaroo.avi - don't watch it you're sensitive about this stuff). I still can't believe that showed it as it was a replay, even though we saw the big dent in the live, the actual roo hitting the car bit was a reply and yeah, i'm guess there'll be alot of complaints come monday morning.

The GP was good, I was happy that it actually started and didn't get canceld.

*sigh * Another boring GP with only some action happening way behind the leaders.
Been a while since I last saw one without frequent use of the fast forward button.

The previous few races at Shangai, Monza and Spa had been terrific. This one was kinda vanilla though.

Hope they show that Bathurst race here in a few weeks...I haven't seen one since Australia were using the Volvos and Audis in touring car action. The track itself simply rules...I've had a lot of fun using the V8 Supercars on it in TOCA Race Driver 2.

Yeah it's an awesome track. A friend of mine was working at the race this weekend. Hopefully one day i'll get the chance to see it in person.

There was actually a good deal of action throughout the field thanks to some strategically placed mobile chicanes. I mean, you had JV's long conga line early on, and there was a lot of dicing there. There was Trulli further up the road, and Webber for a while. The director did a shitty job of following most of it though. Rubens was the car to watch, and I think the director missed all but his one pass on Trulli. And we never saw what happened between him and DC. Just pathetic camera work today IMO. I don't think the race was as bad as it came off on tv. Besides Michael running away with it, there was a good battle of tactics at the front, and some good on-track action further back. Oh yeah, Fisi looked awesome today. Compare that to JV in the Renault, and I don't think we can expect them to be improving much next year. PEACE.
