Money transactions between players won't happen.Spider_Jerusalem said:And if people will be able to sell them too, this will be a total Live killer-app. I would spend more than $1 for a customized and exclusive artwork from some talented guy on the net.
Oh, if MS gets a penny of the transaction, I think they'd implement it.Blimblim said:Money transactions between players won't happen.
There are way too many legal issues with setting up a private system for transactions between people. On MS side, but also on the player side.Subitai said:Oh, if MS gets a penny of the transaction, I think they'd implement it.

Only for "Forza money". You can't sell anything for $$$ in Forza or anywhere else, at least not by official means.Redbeard said:Didn't J Allard or someone else already say players could sell their stuff?
Yes, but it won't change anything being Forza or another game using the new Xbox Live marketplace (or whatever it's called)Funky Papa said:I think they are talking about next gen Live![]()
Micro-transactions: Breaking down barriers of small-ticket online commerce, micro-transactions will allow developers and the gaming community to charge as little as they like for content they create and publish on Marketplace. Imagine players slapping down $.99 to buy a one-of-a-kind, fully tricked-out racing car to be the envy of their buddies.
I know, but I'm very very very much doubting it will happen. At least here in France.Redbeard said:

I MIGHT try to put an anchor on top, but it seems like a lot of work and I'm not sure I have enough free decals left.
I haven't actually experienced it myself, because my PC is a POS, but I've read that Second Life does it. I think the game is open to all residents of Earth so I'd have to assume there are players from France and that it works over there as well. I can't see why this type of scenario can't be implemented in future iterations of Xbox Live, and I can't wait for the day it does.Blimblim said:I know, but I'm very very very much doubting it will happen. People to people transactions is about the most troublesome thing you could ever want to do legally wise. I don't know how this type of thing works in the US, but we'll see.
