Sweet jesus I want to buy this game now. I cannot stand sim racers as I suck a thick one at them, but this is just too cool. and the fact that you can sell them is better.

What if MS put out an editor for the PC. Then you upload it to a website, protected under your LIVE account name and password. Then you could just download it to your xbox from there, and once on the box its deleted from their servers? That way only the maker could get them at first without others stealing it, and it lets you have LOTS of customizing options.

God, I think i need this game now.

BTW, it'd be a kickass feature for any magazines out there to collect many of these decals and make an article out of it.

Edge had a small piece in a feature on Wipeout Pure when the developers put some Edge billboards in. I'm sure they'll show a few of these in their "Start" section.

If it were as simple as importing a GIF or JPEG, these designs wouldn't be so impressive.

Although some people may find it very restricting, I think it's a good idea to leave it as is. It shows you who spends time on their cars and who doesn't.

Although, a more flexible and easy to use editor is always welcome, but the idea of simply importing GIFs into the game kinda defeats the purpose IMO.

It is actually a stencil and the purple changes depending on the car color (in other words, only the black and white bits on the logo are layers) while I used red layers to make the car red. Black lines down the bonnet, doors and boot give the impression it tranforms.

Nah, unfortunately not. You can only mirror something from a side of the car to the other by copying it but any words come out backwards. they only way to remedy that is to copy and paste each layer individually and move them into place.

you have to draw them from shapes.

I cant say Im surprised that we are seeing such great things come from this feature but damn if it doesnt take a lot of creativity.

I like the idea of a Dreamcast logo on the hood of a car or the hood painted to look like the top of the system with buttons and all.

Got the game and decided to piss about on the first car I got so apologies for not using a more exotic model. Either way tried to recreate my avatar and dont think its too bad for a first attempt, probably gonna work on getting the Resident Evil 4 logo on the sides tomorrow.
