Official Forza Car Design Thread

GT4 is still sitting in my stack of backlogged games, but I'm gonna have to get this game now after seeing all these.
 
considering I spent hours fucking around with those graphic greatings on PSO, Im now going to have to buy this game.
 
I think I've finally got a handle on this editor. I've made a couple cars now that have looked reasonably decent with probably my WEEN inspired wagon looking the best of the bunch. No pics though 'cause I don't have a digital camera and the one on my cell is broke. I AM CRY.

I guess I gotta get fuck around with my router and go on XBL. It's been awhile.
 
I'm almost afraid to post this, but I'm actually surprised at the lack of *ahem* mature decal work, so far. Crap, now there will be something screwey and Urotsukidoji-inspired now...

Nothing special compared to some of the recent jobs here but here is my latest none the less. Some awesome jobs guys, keep em coming.

 
This game is so mine! I no longer care that sim racers drive me insane, the editor is worth the purchase. There are some really nice cars in here, so I am interested to see what else is out there, and what I can do(probably not much).
 
Just trying the basics using stuff from Robotron. Even this basic stuff can be a pain to make.

For example, even the little Robotron guy uses over a dozen resized squares. And to move him around would require individually moving each one. The Williams logo started out as fat solid triangles.

So some of the more intense stuff people have created here required some serious work and planning. Kudos to them.

I have no intention of purchasing this game, but the artistic talent that is being displayed here is freakin amazing!

All I've been able to do today is add a basic number 4 of the RE4 logo on the side of the car and correct a kink in mr chainsaws leg.



Needs a bit of work, but quite pleased with it. Its currently only on one side as you can't seem to mirror it over to the other side unless im missing a option in which case it will take a while to duplicate it. This is almost a game in itself really :lol Tis great!

Just go on the other side and Press Y. From there there will be an option to "Paste All From Left Side". This will duplicate the design on one side to the other side.
 
Picked the game up a few hours ago... I was lucky to get it. My neighbor works at GameCrazy. They were all sold out, so he gave me someones preorder that hadn't picked up there copy yet.

First off, the thing that sold me on the game was the pics of cars in this thread. I really had little interest in a sim racer. Then after messing around with the editor, I finally came to the realization that I was born without the right side of my brain. It's true... stick figures are challenging for me.

Oh well, I may not have a cool looking car... but damned if I didn't end up with a kick ass game! ...now I'm off to find the GAF Forza club thread.
 
Ryu looks pretty good, but looks unskinned...like you can see the individual polygonal segments that compose his arms. Still, I'm sure it's either the pic quality or that it's a WIP. Still wish this game wasn't a damned sim racer. How easily does the game control with all assists on? I'm a wimp when it comes to this type of racer.

Yeah it duplicates it but it doesnt mirror it, so if its writing or letters they are backwards.

Most likely running on a modified Xbox with the pirated XDK software.

And I agree with you Musashi. I've tried to use the editor and continually wonder WTF out loud at some of the designs i've seen. It's almost unbeleivable.

I was gonna do my GeekSquad car, but my told me someone already did it. :(

I have an idea though...let's just hope I can execute!
 
Woah! Didn't know you could do such amazing stuff in Forza! Now I know why the developers were so proud about the 100 layers you could apply to your car.

Are those cars usable online and do others see the custom works. And another one: can one user send its own creation to other users via xbox live?
 
The Sonic car is coming along nicely, EAJAPAN. I especially like the addition of the hills on the side, but I can't get over the bonnet looking wrong for not being centred. :( Otherwise looks sweet.

Yes, their useable and yes people see them.

No you can't send them. But you can save your creation for a specific model, and you can work out a system with someone to have them put it on another car for you, etc.
 
Im pretty sure anything is possible with the editor. In the right hands of course.

This game is a blast BTW. I never got into car racing games and the Suggested Line saves it for me. Plus I like customizing shit. I've only done about 3 races so far in going up to level 2. The majority of time i've spent in the editor and shopping/analysing/customizing stuff.
