done well over 1 million in europe too.
Believe it sold VERY well in France.

Yeah it over 470,000 in France alone so it has to have at least 1 million in Europe.

1,817,460 USA (not including the bundle)
802,217 Japan
470,000 France
------------------
3,089,677 (without Canada, the rest of Europe, etc)

Stop with all the sniping and get on with your life!

This post amuses me, cuz it's like you're telling him not to do something you just did yourself!

He wasn't sniping, he was defending me.

My thongydonk in shining armor and all that shit.

The openly/weaksauce comment struck a funny with me. I can't stop laughing, I guess I didn't read it as something mean. I read it as if it was coming from a joker person. Weaksauce, where do you people come up with this stuff? (rhetorical, don't answer)

There's been enough information given to get it yourselves, and turning this thread into a big "PM ME PLZ" thread isn't going to to go over very well.

Something joining the Donkey Konga 2, DDR, Zelda line up for this year and beyond?
Expansion pack?
GC compatible GBE? :lol

prediction: thread will be 5/6+ Pages long before anything good actually happens!

Really? Where? C'mon, GAF ruined a whole Nintendo E3 once, what's GDC...

backward compatability a cube redesign or maybe something mario related. he says "coming down the pipe" and mario comes down pipes right?

Oooh a Gamecube SP would be very nice indeedy. My slimline PS2 has been putting the once-considered-tiny Cube to shame!

I really doubt he's saying anything like that at all. He was just making an allusion to how letting the old system linger worked well for Sony with PS1-->PS2. Nothing about revising hardware, or even remarketing it.

It's moot, anyway. The reason PS1 was able to keep support after PS2 came out was due to its fuckmazing userbase. That's what warrants redesigns too. The winner gets to redesign: NES got it, SNES got one, PSOne got one, and we've just now seen PSTwo.

You're not going to see an Xbox or GameCube redesign. So give up.

And doesn't this belong in the Reggie thread about that interview?

Why make it different? I bought an N64 to play N64 games... and that's exactly what it's going to do forever. I paid good money for that thing when it came out. GameCube will have to fall in line as well. I hope to have a library of 40 great titles by the time the system's light on the world has gone out.

And that's a good amount don't you think? Cause once a new console is out, what chance do those games have of being played again? Most of you guys probably beat a game and get rid of it. Might as well rent 'em. I could care less if it's backwards compatible, ugh, less problems with parts breaking.

Hey, can you say "PS2"?

Nintendo invented the directional pad we use today, games with more than a button, analog control, rumble in our controls, etc.

Sorry to be a stickler and I know this thread is just a giant Nintendo wankfest but they didn't "invent" games with more than one button or analog control. Popularized maybe but invented, no.

Not invent the device, but they were the first to have analog in a 3D graphics based (mainstream) console. Their competitors at the time both had D-Pads, then latter switched to analog.

Warp pipe!

Megaton!

j/k

Oh please, now you guys are just being silly. Stop this fuckin nonsense I'm embarrased by reading this BS.

Reggie is saying they have stuff in the pipeline!

Mario travels trough sewerpipes!

Mario is connected to the internet through an 3rd party internet solution called warppipe!

It's all so fuckin hysterical!

Edit: lol srry m8 didn't know what j/k meant till I allready posted this... I'm such a n00b. :(

Back to pressing F5 like crazy now...

Games pre Game & Watch were all binary joysticks and paddles for the most part. Whether Nintendo were first to create one or not, it was Game & Watch and later NES which used them exclusively as a form of control.

edit: It seems they did create it though. Google "Gunpei Yoikoi D-pad"

hope its a GC SP, they can make it really small by getting rid of the handle, they can also get rid of the controller ports and have it only support the Wavebird
