You eat the cap hit. The team receiving the player doesn't pay a dime on the bonus money.

Like DCX said the team trading the player is going to take the hit, hit is whatever signing bonus is left. I think if you trade before June all of it goes on the books in the current year, after June, you split it into two years. So if you gave 12m bonus and the player only played a year, he still has 9m due. If you cut or trade after June it should be 3m current year 6m the next.
Cutting and trading work exactly the same way in terms of hit.

Yeah, I understand, but it seems like the purpose of the salary cap hit is as a hedge against dumping guaranteed money, but if you have two teams trading guys with guaranteed money it would make sense to me that only the team who is "winning" (i.e. getting salary relief) should pay the hit.

If someone trades for D.Williams the Panthers will take a big dick up the ass, and I doubt someone is giving them more than a 3rd. But I guess they just want to get rid of the mistake asap, sunk cost and all that, and if they have room it doesn't hurt them too much.

I dunno, I mean I scouted the players and positions I wanted so I figure I have enough scouted players to be helpful to me, but since I only scouted ratings and players I care about and it makes predicting what others want harder.
I guess I could use that draft guide and guess based on overalls.
Edit: Its funny that eznark mentions paid OTs, because EviLore perma banned that Amazon Games guy for asking if people would be interested in getting paid to make OTs. Its been obvious for awhile that a lot of these OTs get promotional artwork straight from the publishers, but if someone wants to make the process more transparent, well that's just a big no no in EviLore's book.
