I can't draft on the 7th or the 13th.
If we advance to the conference championship tonight, and they get played tonight/tomorrow, and the SB gets played on tomorrow/Friday, is there any reason we can't do what I proposed last weekend?
FA Day: Saturday afternoon before WC games
Draft: Sunday evening after WC games

Either FMT or AT cant do this and are stalling. Only explanation as to why they didn't play yesterday while both being available. This is a good suggestion which we should do.
The only thing I don't like about this idea is that at least one person will probably miss the entire FA period. At least when it takes multiple days, everyone gets a chance to make bids.

How do we synchronize the whole FA period for everyone since there are so many steps? It's 6 advances between the SB and the draft including resigning the restricted players.

As much as some people in here want to draft this weekend, it doesn't seem realistic. That is, unless we don't care about a handful of people missing the entire FA period altogether.
Obviously it shouldn't be a week like it was last season, but even if i was condensed to 2-3 days, at least that gives everyone an opportunity to get a bid in. Then have the draft either during the week or next Saturday/Sunday before/after the Divisional playoffs
If the Superbowl can get done by tomorrow night, then you can have a 3 day FA period on Fri/Sat/Sun afternoon, and a Sunday night draft.

Yeah I'm fine with it but it probably will fuck more than one person who doesn't get to look at FAs at all, then we have a BigAT situation.

Yeah, the "delay" (it still hasn't even been 24 hours since the advance during a holiday) was all on me. I felt like shit yesterday from New Year's and didn't want the entirety of my season and the last couple of months of playing to potentially be ruined because I was hungover. I know some of you guys have nothing to play for each year but the offseason each year but relax, it will still come. I wish everyone was this anxious and concerned about advancing during the regular season when we frequently wait full days for games between teams that won't even sniff the playoffs.

Some people can't draft...I don't see what the difference is really.
Oh no I missed out on all those over expensive players because other people can't control themselves when it comes to contracts.
The problem is that then FMT gets weird, says some players are untouchable, and someone doesn't notice.

Not really, Bob's conspiracy theory about us intentionally delaying as some circuitous attempt to somehow control the timing of free agency was probably the final straw.

Not elite but I think you started out with more talent than a bunch of teams.
I think a lot of guys get suckered by the gaudy numbers some of the skill position players put up but IMO they are the last piece that should go in. Last season I struggled to get to 1500 rushing yards, signed and drafted 3 new offensive lineman (2 of my top 3 picks were at OL) and I'm up at the top of the league running the ball with a 3rd round rookie.
Moreover I think a lot of dudes get frustrated that they aren't seeing immediate results. My OL, to use it as an example again, didn't come ready made, it's taken doing every practice and executing an XP dispersement plan that was developed at the beginning of the year to whip them into shape.
All that said, I wouldn't want a double dose of Luke and Smokey every season.

Well, that's one reason I want to vance quickly. I got lucky the cpu drafted Myers for me, but I lost the opportunity to upgrade in some key areas I need.
I miss another draft, and another chance to upgrade spots I really need, my interest starts fading some more. What's the point if I can't get the guys I want.

You realize 1500 yards puts you in like the upper third of this league in terms of running the ball, right?
In fact 1500 yards would've put you 10th this season. If more people in this league could run the ball that well I think we wouldn't see so many interceptions and blow outs.

I'm happy with the progress of the team even though we went 1-15 this year, definitely was competitive in a lot more games than Season 1. With 4 picks in the first 2 rounds and a ton of cap room I'm hoping to improve a bunch in Season 3. Maybe 5-6 wins being the goal.

I got Tropico 4 as well Bobby. I'm hoping Rayman Origins goes back on sale this go around, I'm pretty much set otherwise.
I popped 20 hrs into FTL in a couple of days. Sickeningly addictive.

All you have to remember about Bobby is that he desperately doesn't want offseason activities to be the weekend after this one because he has to work.
