I really hate the people who work there. Preordered mine today, when I explain I avoid preordering here I don't want anything other than Halo 4, amazon is cheaper. Figured that would shut up the sales pitch. The jackass asks me "Why didn't you preorder Halo on amazon, then?". Cause I want it tonight! But I should've said "You're right" and walked out.

You should go to Wal-mart. There really is no reason to buy from Gamestop unless you want it at midnight. And even then Wal-mart is sometimes the better option.

It happens, rarely. I used to work at GameCrazy. We did as much as possible not to push the corporate nonsense on the customers.

I usually Get stuff from amazon too. I thought I had it pre ordered but apparently not. And gamestop is like 5 minutes from my house so I'll bite the bullet and pick it up after class tomorrow there.

I wanted to play it right away. Amazon usually delivers around 5-7PM around here. I couldn't take that chance of tomorrow driving me nuts.

Gamecrazy Was pretty damn cool. Same with gamerush at blockbuster. Sad to see them both go.

Bluemax, I most likely won't be playing the next couple preseason games so i'll put myself on auto pilot so you can play CPU. I'll just go to cut players and stuff.

I liked Gamecrazy. Also I think my honeymoon with Amazon is over. Now that they charge tax, I have no real reason to choose Amazon over any other local store. I don't think I'll be renewing my Prime subscription.

I get same day delivery often from Amazon so it's still rad for me!

Also, I think I'm the only person to have never had a negative experience at GameStop.

It probably helps that he was the only one in there when I was buying stuff. No manager or shit to impress so he was actually allowed to act like a human being.

can't say i've ever had a negative experience at gamestop. people always want to talk shit but understand that these clerks are earning dick and being pushed to offer all these services. what do you expect them to do? in every case, i go there, buy what i'm going to buy, they ask if im a rewards member, ask if i want to pre-order anything, and that's it! no big deal. sometimes i wonder if some of the stories i've heard are exaggerated but maybe there are just some weird people out there

Most of those negative experiences have come from people who also have had negative experiences with 7/10. That should explain a lot.

My problem is usually with lousy or oblivious employees.

Yeah I've had the same experience for the most part. The one I usually go to has some pretty cool people, but the person today seemed new and lost. I did go to a Gamestop once where the employee was a total 360 fanboy. Talked crap about the PS3 the whole time I was there lol.

I don't blame them employees. I've worked retail and I know what comes with that territory. I wouldn't call my experiences at gamestop particularly negative, just annoying.

I feel like most young adults dont want that sell job and hand holding through their shopping experience. And the old men that still try to make that happen don't quite understand you can be welcoming and helping without the pitch.

It gets to the point where the stores I regularly shop at are the ones I now will leave me the fuck alone while I do my thing.

That's the thing. I have no idea how the managers even handle the staff, so I just assume they are equally as incompetent.

My recent example is from Pizza Hut. Went to pick up a pizza and was told they didn't make it yet. Over forty minutes from the order. Sat about twenty minutes. The girl working didn't look me in the eye once and was too busy mumbling to everyone around her. Someone else actually looked, found my pizza that was there the entire time.

"OH! I thought yo name wuz Brad."

I didn't say another word and just left. Having work retail, I give them some slack and don't explode on them. Still...

See, I don't care about the pitch. You could try and sell me all the cat helmets in the world and I wouldn't care. It's the ones that actually go out of their way to make the customer service experience shit. B&M is dying, so that should be their top priority.

Listening to you guys cry like Jewish moms talking about their disappointing dentist son makes me so happy to live in Indiana. Everyone here loves life and tries hard. Retail employees here are almost universally awesome. The only shitty thing is that it means I have to spend a ton of time telling managers how great their employees are.

I just had the most BS int in my favor thanks to ball hawk.

Safety hits a WR as the ball arrives, guy I swapped to to ball hawk is standing there watching it happen. Ball warps through the safety and into my corners hand while he continues to just stand and watch. So broken.
