That was not my fault. Live went to Hell at Xmas time, Bob's Xbox died, and people were hard to track down. Now, more 360's have died and the league has gone stagnant. Don't start pinning it on me that people are not available. I have been on AIM every night and haven't heard a word from anyone other than Bob.Rorschach said:

I fear my 360 may be next for the RROD as my system has been freezing more and more frequently. I wish it would just die aleady so I can replace the SOB sooner rather than later.

I'm still in, shit i have been, border line, stalking guys to get games in and i have worked myself a half game out of first and a playoff spot, that's alot of hard work and dedication to just end the season. Christ i could have been playing other games, or spending time with family lol. Seriously, we need to find a way to end the season, with replacement players or whatever, this can't be the first failed GAF Madden league. I refuse!Malleymal said:

We should get a headcount to see how many are left and willing to play. If its a small number I'd just say a tournament finish, but thats me. I'm just guessing, but it seems like theres only 10-12 people left if that.
I'm in for a tourney too. I'd suggest we seed by best regular season finish, but since not everyone is finished (or may never be considering all the RRODs), perhaps we should just random seed?

Like i stated before. GAF Madden has a tradition that shouldn't go the way of lets say, a GAF NHL League. I say we have a tournament to decide the League champ. Or get replacements for the rest of the players out and finish the season. more than likely the playoff bound teams are still in the league.

Well, if it's about choosing a champ, I guess we could just start the playoffs. The only problem is that 2 of the division leaders are Red Ringed. That could be fixed by letting you and Striker (if Striker is still around) take their place since you guys are 2nd place. Would be weird finishing out without FMT, though. :\DCX said:

I don't think its about forcing people to play, its just we dont want this to be a failed league in the sense that it doesn't get finished. I'm all for trying to finish out what games we have left, but as you can see from that list half of the people are rrod or cant play for other reasons. I'm going to try and get my games in this weekend with the people who can still play (which I believe is three or four out of seven remaining).

Well, I've been renting the game for the past 10 days, so I will probably drop out of the playoffs and that way you guys will have 12 people for the tourney. However, if you need me in order to have an even number for the playoffs, I can hold onto the game a little longer.

I'm up for a tourney and I've played most of my games and made attempts to schedule the other games that I haven't played so far!
I still have league games to play and if it helps I can play some. Doesn't make much sense to me though cause there are pretty much guaranteed wins for my opponent. I gots no skillz anymore.
But I'll only play if it makes a difference to what everyone is doing. It doesn't look like it will so it was really just a polite gesture.
Thanks for letting me play again this year. Sorry I had so much issues getting games in. Tough to play something you struggle with as much as I did this year.

Takes two people to play. Its nobodies fault for what is happening right now with the league so no need to point fingers. We started off too early for some players, then we ran into the holiday season which is never good for availability, then there was the countless issues with live over the past month, and add to that the numerous rrod's. That's a lot of stuff that was/is working against the league.

I was down 14-8 with about 30 seconds left, ended up just trying to make it a competitive ending fully assuming that I was doomed. Heaved the ball to Coles running a go route on the right side and after missing about four of those attempts in the game already, he finally came down with it. Slo's guy missed and I ran it into the endzone for the 15-14 lead. Fucking crazy.

Those people are all still around and active in the thread, fyi. But whatever, I'm done with that. I don't really care to be honest was just wondering because you were complaining about league participation, which is a problem, but you weren't doing much to alleviate it.

Tournament teams would be anyone who is still active in the thread and doesn't have a borked box/disc/schedule.
If FMT hasn't been around by the time it expires, the poll becomes official and we play it that way. I know that everyone wants a decision made now and we're in danger of having everyone bail out, so this will give the antsy people something solid in the mean time.
Again, I'm not a real commish of the league, but this gives us some structure instead of everyone shouting out "Let's do something!" with no one actually doing anything. This isn't an official thing, it's just a buffer just in case.
Remember: we have until the 14th of feb (that's valentine's, ladies!) to finish the league. That's tons of time and we may have a few more back to get a clearer playoff picture.

I think the problem for me more than anything was just not playing on a consistent basis. When using a bad team I guess you have to stay fresh. I think I've still got skills, I managed to beat Shawn and DammitMatt with these scrubs.
