Well, at the very least we won't get beat as bad as the Cards did which would make us a better team than the Cardinals right?

Right?

**** that, I agree they need a new stadium with a roof, but moving it to central Miami would probably cut down on attendance. Right now, the stadium is right off the highway and pretty much right on the Broward and Dade county line. It's extremely accessable to everyone.

OK, to be fair I've never really been to the area. I was just going by everything that I have read and I was under the impression that the stadium being right in the middle between Miami and FT Lauderdale was a serious hinderance.

:lol :lol I saw that. How about Mulder has sucked ass all season, and LaRussa left Marquis in way too long.

Young pitchers are like kryptonite to this team. See last year when Ervin Santana pitched a CG shutout against us.

But if we were stealing signs...way to go. Keep doing it.

:lol Miguel Cabrera taking a softball style hack at an intentional walk. I always wanted to see Barry Bonds try that just once considering how many times he got walked the last few yeras.

More on Myers:

Courtney Knight, 26, who witnessed the alleged attack, said in an interview today that Myers was out of control.

"It was disgusting," Knight said. "He was dragging her by the hair and slapping her across the face. She was yelling, 'I'm not going to let you do this to me anymore.' "

Knight said the 6-foot-4 ballplayer dwarfs his wife, who she estimated to be 5 foot 2 and 100 pounds.

"She's a real small girl," Knight said. "It was awful."

Myers allegedly told Knight and her friends to leave and resisted when they tried to pull him off of his wife, prompting Knight to call police.

She said Myers was undeterred by the presence of her group of friends.

"He had her on the ground. He was trying to get her to go, and she was resisting," Knight said. "She curled up and sat on the ground. He was pulling her, her shirt up was around her neck....He could have cared less that we were there."

Knight said the player appeared to be fighting with his wife because he wanted to return to their hotel and she did not.

Myers is slated to pitch against Curt Schilling at Fenway Park tomorrow. A Phillies spokesman did not return calls seeking comment.

The police report says that officers found Wickman crying and with swelling on the left side of her face. The victim bailed Myers out, posting $200 in bail at the South End police station early this morning, Procopio said.

Moving the stadium into the heart of Miami would all but guarantee that no one from Broward or Palm Beach counties would even bother. The traffic alone is enough of a deterrence, not to mention that Miami proper is pretty scummy. Plus there's the fact that absolutely nothing down there is in English anymore. I know I certainly wouldn't bother going to any games.

Umm what are you talking about? Have you not seen American Airlines Arena in downtown? That's the ideal location. Bayfront park right next to Bayside. I don't see what it "scummy" about that. Attendance would boom if it was there. Next to the beach, with access by car, bus, train, and boat. Miami is the hottest city in the Nation with Downtown and South Beach. The a Marlins stadium there would exploit this the way the Heat have. Look at how beautiful it looks:

I was just there for the Heat victory parade, and it's awesome. I just don't kow where they would do the WMC or Ultra Fest.

Downtown Miami/Brickell/South Beach is the hottest place for real estate. I love it and I spend all my time around these areas. As a matter of fact, I go out of my way to work in Brickell (downtown), just for the sights. Although I have worked in South Miami and it is also nice seeing all the celebs around the area. =D

Seriuosly, Marlins are playing horriable with 4 errors in the 1st inning... 3 of those allowd the Yankees to score... I haven't seen them play this bad all year...

So, Torre, when do we stop playing Bernie?

Never? Why?

Oh. He has pictures of you doing WHAT?

Edit: what the ****

Oh wait, the Marlins just tied it up again... 3 - 3. I think they finally rememberd that they have good players. Too bad Uggla isin't playing. Too bad he isin't gonna be in the All Star game.

Interesting stat for all you Mets fans concerned about Wagner. I got this stat from Mike Francesa's radio show.

When LoDuca catches Wagner: He has given up 2 ER, 11 hits, 4 walks, and 1 Blown Save in 27 or so innings

When Castro catches Wagner: 11 ER, 3 Blown Saves (Not including the Yankee disaster). All this accomplished in only 6 innings.

Willie keep Ramon away from Billy.

Castro was catching during wednesday nights bad loss. Hmm maybe it's bad karma.

Yeah it does suck. But at the same time I think I'd want Floyd in the lineup-he's been here,he's a part of this team,he plays good D,and would know how to deal with the pressures of a pennant chase better since he's been there before. I dunnoit sucks to see Milledge sent down but its probably for the best. Let him mature in the minors one more year, next year will his year to shine fully.

But I would not be opposed to him staying. Eli Morero does nothing for me personally-he's just taking up a roster spot for Milledge.

Maybe they'll call up Henry Owens now since Sanchez could be out for awhile.

He's only pitching in AA, but has posted some really good numbers. At this point Owens is probably our best "internal" option. I hope Sanchez's injury isn't that serious, but knowing our luck it probably is.

Good win tonight, but I'm worried about Sanchez his facial expressions weren't too hot. Glavine was back to the old Glavine tonight 7 innings of 1 run ball. Tommrow is going to be tough game, Mets have to hit Halladay early if they want a chance to win tommrow. 2 more to go. :)

:lol

:lol

My god Andy sucks this year,he pitches better when hes hurt.

Lo Duca said Sanchez was feeling better afterwards. He had lost feeling in his fingers. Maybe it's not serious?

We shall see. Good win for the Mets tonight, though, and let's hope we haven't lost Dirty.

The Castro thing is deceptive. Keep in mind Castro catches day games after night, meaning Wags comes in in a day game... where he might've pitched the day before or multiple times before. All it means is maybe he has a problem with back-to-backs or day games.

I'm making a YTMND with David Wright = God. I'm choosing different Mets as disciples.

YES! 5 Game losing streak is over and all it took was for Lowe to throw a complete game avoiding the bullpen alltogether. Even Vin Scully is cracking jokes about our bullpen :lol . We have 3 shortstops in the starting lineup again! Furcal at Shortstop, Izturis at 3rd base and NOMAH at 1st base :lol

DAMN! I forgot Bumko goes today, Hopefully he can keep us in the game somewhat.

Meh pretty bad game overall from the Jays, offense has really been struggling lately. Seems we got a role for Tallet which he is good in, mop up after we are losing. Janssen has really been struggling lately as well, this is 3 straight where he has been hit hard.

Wooo 8 in a row. I wonder what Pods has against Houston.

Dunno, but I'm disappointed he wasn't drilled later in the game. I wanted to see a brawl (that always gets the Astros on a hot streak). ;)
