****ing Google rocks.:lol

Oh shit, I totally forgot Wagner is coming in for the save in the 9th...

Unless we give up another grand slam...which I wouldn't be surprised if we did.

If we get by without giving up a run, ,we still have a chance against Wags.

<talking about Yankees needing a starter>

Singleton: "Al might have to head down to make a start"
Leiter: "I got about 150 pitches in me."
Mike Kay: "Well that'll get you through about 3 innings."

:lol :lol

Al should have said something to the effect of: yeah well you ****ing suck as a play by play guy.

Kay: :O

21 games over .500, people. Wags shut it down, all that is needed is for Cliff to hit his annual HR of Roy Oswalt tomorrow. The way the Mets are pitching, do we really need to acquire a starter not named Willis? I mean forget it, Mets' starter depth is greatly underrated.

That conversation needed more Jim Rome-Jim Everett. :)

Doesn't this always happen? Mets always do great for a certain amount of time and then they just screw it all up.

Sorta reminds me of the Braves post season.

Ahh it's a great year for baseball I tell ya.:D

Okay, that one hurt.

David Justice, where are you now?!

Didn't mean for it to sound brutal,I'm just poking fun at the Braves. Hey its been awhile since we've been this good so cut me some slack will ya?:lol

I'm anxious to see how the remaining 9 games between the Mets and the Bravos play out,its been pretty split this year. The biggest hurdle the Mets have overcome against them is the mental one. How many times have we seen them hang with the Braves only to loose it at the end of the game? Thats one of the biggest differences with this years Met team, they have a fire abd confidence about them to get the job done, look at all the one run games they have won.

Yeah, I'm suprised the Mets are still doing so well. Makes me think that it's not a fluke, but actual *gasp* talent! Still, I don't see the Mets making it past the 2nd round in the playoffs, but that's just me.

I know Glaus isnt a AVG or OB% kinda guy but would it kill him to take the first pitch every now and again? Wang has hardly thrown a first pitch strike so far today.

Oh well Lyle cleans up the mess.

You never know about the playoffs, anything can happen. Mets could go in there red hot and be shut down,or vice versa. Odds are in our favor this year, which for once is nice. Still need another legit pitcher though.

Meh, this is how Glaus is and always has played. If he likes a pitch he will go after it.

Molina can't throw out anybody, God damn it.

Why? There is nobody worth a damn in the NL besides them.

I understand that. But that doesnt make it any less frustrating......until he takes a first pitch fastball yard. :D

A ****ING BALK?!!?!?!?!?! GODDAMNIT LILLY!

Is Gibbons crazy enough to leave Lilly in for another inning, or will he bring in the bullpen and see if they won't blow it.

He won't leave him in, he's well over 100 pitches.

I'd leave him in to face the bottom of the order. But i'm crazy like that.

In other news it would be sweet if MLB TV werent completely useless during the weekend.

He let AJ throw 120 + to get him through 7 innings, the only pitcher he really pulls early one can argue is Halladay. Plus its Lillys decision, he usually chooses whether he goes in for another inning.

For comedic purposes you guys have to read whats going on at the MLB Braves board. Its some of the worst shit I've seen in some time. Braves and Mets fans tearing at one another's throats like wild animals. I love to read that board after games, but in no way do I post there, what a ****ing mess that place is.:lol

"The MLB forums are without a doubt the WORST sports forums in the history of MLB"

Hmm Brandon League, looks like Gibbons is giving him the chance to prove he can be the 7th inning guy.

Hmm never mind, just looks like Gibbons wants to throw as many relievers out there to confuse the Yanks.

Jesus! There is nothing I hate more about baseball than bringing in a new pitcher for every ****ing batter. There should be a 3 pitcher limit!
