A-Rod = second in the Majors in game winning RBI yet he gets treated like a bum :lol

He shouldn't be treated like a bum but let's not fool ourselves into thinking he's clutch either. Look up that runner on 3rd less than 2 outs stat.

Last four games..

Backe (W, 3-1) 7.0 IP, 1 ER
Oswalt (W, 9-7) 6.0 IP, 1 ER
Clemens (W, 4-4) 6.0 IP, 1 ER
Pettitte (W, 11-12) 7.0 IP, 2 ER

I hope Hirsh can give us something similar tonight.

BTW, the bullpen during the last four: 10 IP, 1 ER, 2 SV, 18 K

A little piece of me just died

Reading through the posts I missed, it looks like I missed quite a show. And since I know you were all so concerned about me, I was up at my cottage in Michigan all week, and as someone said, I was pretty much drunk(or on some other illegal substances) the whole time.
I did see 2 of the 3 Yankee games though.

Ugh, Dodgers keep wasting RISP. Come on JD.. bases are loaded, at least get it out of the infield. Nice to see Penny knock in another run when he's pitching. :)

How's a big ol kid like James Loney get 4 triples before his first ever HR in the majors? Wild.

Top 3rd: San Francisco
- P. Feliz struck out swinging
- E. Alfonzo struck out looking
- M. Cain struck out swinging

Bottom 3rd: LA Dodgers
- A. Ethier struck out swinging
- W. Betemit struck out swinging
- R. Martin struck out looking

Heh, that doesnt happen very often.

Then it proves you, my Native American fan, speak with forked tongue.

Hardly....the Mets fans here act like their team is one of the best ever assembled. I was simply pointing out that they're not even gonna win 100 games in an extremely weak competitive season.

To a man, if you ask every fan of a first place team here they all want 30 Game leads, since that means a Division Win. We can't all be that lucky, I guess. Also, your reply had NOTHING to do with the quoted post and definitely sounded bitter. You are waayyyyyy overreacting to a post here. Though I heard no one utter your accusation, I will say it is one of the best . . . one of the best METS teams ever assembled, that is.

Also, little tidbit - Mets are 69-45. They need only to go 31-17 to reach 100 wins. Consider the easy schedule and the Mets pace of winning 2 out of every 3 games, it would be VERY POSSIBLE if Willie wasn't already experimenting for the postseason and resting guys. Cliff Floyd could play if it was necessary, but Mets DL'ed him to be safe. Willie Randolph won't let his guys quit on him though; last year was a great indicator.

You don't have to win 100 games to win your divsion anymore, and still there is about 50 games left Mets could win another 30.

Booya, Dodgers make it 3 in a row. 14 out of 15.. how sweet it is. :) Gotta do something about all the LOB we've been having.. ugh, 7 in one game for JD Drew!

Yeah, JD Drew been struggling for while now, even though he had a RBI single today.

So far so good, but I still have no confidence in Downs, and he probably doesn't have much left. Hold on bullpen, please hold on.

Your team isn't even gonna win 100 games in one of the worst competitve years in decades. A 30 game lead don't mean shit.
And what does that say about your team?

Baseball card tradin' Patty Neschek strikes out Rios. If we weren't up 3-0 I might mind it. Thankfully we are so I can admire it.

:lol :lol :lol

Blue Jays must hate Ryan. Not a save situation anymore. Well I guess with Schoeneweis coming in, it could become a save situation very quickly.

Twins keeping with the theme of giving up twin outs. 6th double play. They can resume their wildcard hunt on monday once we leave. Sorry about the delay.

That was a nice save. A man by the name of Tom Gordon is in the midst of screwing his team of a possible win right now in Philly. It's a shame we have no Philly fans on GAF.
