Boston pays all of his remaining salary this year and half of it next year. We still have to pay about 2.8 million. This move + Hillenbrand + Schoenweis gives us about 8 million extra to work with next year.

Yep the Dodgers are preparing for their 9 game road trip, all against teams within their own division (3 games against the Giants, 3 games against the Padres, and 3 games against the Diamonbacks). It will be interesting to see how well they do. The Dodgers could really put some distance between themselves and the rest of the teams in their division or they could come crashing back to the pack. Oh well, I'm hoping they can win two of the three series, i.e. hopefully end up with something like a 5-4 record on this road swing.
