And Shawn Green is owed $10 million ext year.

For the money-yep he sucks But then again nooone knows how much the Mets or DiamondBacks are paying him through this trade,or if he is willing to restructure any of it.
I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Oh, and let's not get too serious here either. The degeneration mets shit and stuff annoys me, but not to the point of "JESUS SHUT THE **** UP I WANT TO KILL YOU"

We're all friends here. We're not seriously upset at any of that shit, just playfully annoyed.

Outside of SAS this is the best MLB crew I've encountered online, Mets fans and all.

True... I'm probably more frustrated than I should be because the Astros are just playing like complete ass this year.

This Brent Clevlen fellow is actually pretty ****ing good.

Hes been quite promising for the Tigers. Hopefully he delivers for detroit.

0 - 13? 0 - 13?!? This is the shit I get to come home to? Why do I even watch you Astros, why?

Chicago White Sox 2006: wildcard or bust

As it stands now I like how the detroit schedule is shaping up for the rest of the season better than your schedule.

Towards the tail end of the season the Tigers get to play Kansas City and Baltimore a few times with you guys and Minnesota sanwiched in there somewhere.

Whereas Chicago looks like theyre facing Minnesota twice, A's, The Angels, Boston. Its probably going to come down to those last 3 games at Minnesota.

If anything things should really heat up come the end of September. Kind of sucks how the Tigers are looking like they're going to cruise the rest of this season.

You know, this AL Wildcard is gonna be ****ing crazy. The Twins have as many question marks in pitching as the White Sox, and the Red Sox are up in the air right now.

Liriano on the DL really hurts Minnesota. It's a ****ing coin flip between Chicago and Minnesota, and the Red Sox certainly aren't out of it by any stretch of the imagination.

I have the feeling one team will go on like an 8 game winning streak and that will be it.

Bill Clinton is a Cards fan eh?
Can't believe I voted for him(twice.)

:lol

And WTF is up with this umpire? Feliciano had those outsides pitches called balls and yet Looper gets the call with a runner on 3rd.

Damnit.

Shawn Green in NY will probably do well. He actually put up really good numbers in LA when he had good protection in the lineup. I think he hit 49 hrs one year with Sheffield batting ahead of him. It was wihen the dodgers traded Sheff away and made him the focus of the lineup that he started to suck balls.

I think if he puts up Nady like numbers-20 Hrs a year then he'll be a good fit. Those numbers aren't great but for a 6-7-8 type hitter those will be pretty good none the less.

He is way over payed though.

Have you seen his OBA/OPS? They're horrible, plus the guy doesn't hit many XBH. He's better than what we have in Michael Tucker, Endy Chavez (Mets want him on bench) and Ricky Ledee, but his numbers since mid-July are eerily similar to Lastings Miledge . . . The guy he's replacing.

****ing a... all my pitchers who were in a position to win have lost it basically. :( Florida blows it for Josh Johnson and Padilla gives up his lead too.

well, i should have said for a guy in his late 30's you are getting off waivers, he should do well. :lol Lastings Milledge is a good young player, but putting a lot of reliance on those young players can bite you in teh ass come playoff time.

What are the cash considerations?

I think it could be a good pick up for the playoffs, but next year its going to look awful. Once again Minyana is able to go to the big bank vault and gets another player. And I suppose he's a great GM.
