Hey Kuroyume, how long have you had your Wright avatar? Because he hasn't been doing well the past few weeks. :/

Dude, I've been thinking about that too but I changed it to Wright on 8/15 so it is kind of too recent.

Lastings Milledge sent down
Makes room for Green. Milledge to return when rosters expand.

BTW, Mets will have a potential AL lineup once Cliff gets healthy:

Reyes
LoDuca
Beltran
Delgado
Wright
Floyd (or Green)
Green (or Floyd)
Valentin
Pitchers' spot

Yea, I didn't think you had it for too long...

Doesn't matter, the Carlos brothers are owning faces.

In June I made the Braves in first by the 21st bet and they go on to have the worst month in Atlanta franchise history.

Now I make the Mets won't win 100 games bet and they haven't lost since.

I'm done making bets on this board.

What the hell Angels bullpen stop sucking, and come on Angels offense take Jered off the hook for the loss, my fantasy team can't afford him losing.

also time to become a liberal? :D
ugh, we could be down by a run instead.

God Francona is a complete ****ing moron. I can't even begin to count how many games he has cost his team this season.

Amazing. Old man Timlin bails Francoma out.

Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz confirmed to the Boston Herald on Thursday that he was hospitalized last weekend for an irregular heartbeat.

Ortiz told the Herald he began experiencing a rapid heartbeat Friday night after the Red Sox were swept by the New York Yankees in a doubleheader at Fenway Park. Although Ortiz played Saturday, the problem persisted and the Red Sox medical staff advised him to visit Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was held overnight for observation.

Ortiz, who is hitting .286 and leads the majors with 46 homers and 120 RBI this season, didn't miss any time during the Yankees series.

did anyone see this?

damn...how can you be an athlete and get problems like this?

Ive stopped watching Seattle games ever since 95 so....
Never again =(

Im worried about the next games we have. After we get ass raped by the Angels (we'll be lucky to take a game) we still face detroit, and we'll see if our 4 game series with them was just a fluke or not. Then its onto Minnesota, which worries me a bit.

But from there we face Toronto, Baltimore, Tampa Bay and KC. Then a 4 game series w/Boston so were pretty much golden after next Sunday =)

Slow Sheff: Gary Sheffield was examined by hand specialist Dr. Charles Melone on Thursday, but he was not cleared to do any further hitting. Sheffield will continue to swing a bat underwater, but he will have to wait until mid-September to swing off a tee.

Looking like no more Sheff this year

I wrote Jayson Stark about Nate Robertson's performance (final line was, "Tell me I'm not crazy and this isnt more common than I think.".. he replied with this:

Heck, no - you're not crazy. To give up 10 ER with only 11 baserunners takes some doing, unless they're all in a row or something (a la Luke Hudson last week).

We'll check it out. Thanks!

I hope I get in the next installation of Useless Info. :D
