Seriously, when I was down I had to throw and you were able to sit back in zone and wait for errand throws from my shitty backup QB. Your same redundant pressure defensive schemes were perfect for that type of play calling I was doing. I dont have "money" plays, although it may seem like money because I had the cure for your transparent defense. There was a little lag, but hardly worth noting. Exceptional spin though, I am very impressed with your creativity. *applause*

the "I scratched together a 53-2 win" comment really bothers me. I've scratched through 37-35 games, 21-14, 28-16 games, and the 27-20 game. I never really blew anyone out. A couple times I had large leads going into halftime, like 21-0, 28-0, and I pretty much went out there and did bupkis the 2nd half.

Playing Shawn as Florida, I lost 41-20. He really didn't do any horrendous money plays, but to say he "eased off in the 2nd half" isn't correct. He scored every time he had the ball, except one time in the entire game. The last drive. But, I managed "alright" with a poor Florida team. He just had a literal perfect offensive game. 16-16 and a holy shite amount of yards.

And Cold/FMT, you have STILL yet to put in Florida's offensive stats. Shawn, you could have put them in!!!

I would go undefeated if I had your schedule. Lets look at how you went 8-1. You played in a division where you are the only one that will finish with a record above .500. 7 of your wins were closely contested, and you have only played one team that is doing to make the postseason. Sounds like a easy road to me. I played in a schedule that featured three likely postseason teams, and a former league winner. Not bad for a "rookie". Didn't I blow you out already in a fill-in game? You are lucky it did not count against you. If Notre Dame does not show up, I would love to bring you down to earth with to finish 8-2.

I am not going to be pretentious and massage fragile egos after they lose!! I simply do not get it. Trash-talking is a staple of sports and videogames. In the Madden Challenge, do you see people going "Ah shucks, maybe you will tackle my running back next time, good luck". They rub it in baby, and they start to get in people's heads. In most cases, I am responsding to an attack from someone else. Then once I respond, people go "Look at Shawn being cocky and arrogant, lets ban him". Last night, I get an unsolicited attack from Cuban. I set him straight, and then here comes Malleymal talking about he going to whoop my ass. I murder him today, and then he manufactures an excuse bascially calling me a cheeser. I give my rebuttal, and I get crap like "shawnwhann continuing to gain support from his gaf peers". It is just bewildering to me that there is a double standard where people can rag on me, but the second I do it back I'm the ****ing villan.

Maybe "scratched" was not the most appropriate word. My point was that I could not move the ball up and down the field in a way I am accustomed to. The points came from all kinds of weird and lucky situations. Troy Smith only went 10-17 and I threw a pick in that game. When you are used to completing 72% of your passes a game, going 58% feels like a big drop off from my usual productivity. That was my point, I admit I was not all that clear.

OSU is so much better than ony other team that it's not even funny. The few times I've played with them against good players, I've won without even playing my best. Can you with a straight face say I did not ease off? After scoring 34 points in the first half, I only put up 7(early third quarter) in the the second half. Unless you want to proclaim it was a product of your improved defense, the numbers show other wise. Keep it real dog...

i have decided to start the playoffs/bowl games on wednesday. therefore you have until tuesday night to finish your games. at that point i will request everyones top 32 teams list. i will only ask that you rate on the games PLAYED. this could hurt people who are 3-2 (for instance) if they were to win their final 5 games, putting them at 8-2! however, since they haven't played those games they can't be credited for the wins.

for those who have games left, there are plenty of people willing to fill in so there is no excuse to not get the games done. tuesday night fellas!

Listening to you go off about how amazing you are on every single page of this thread is far from fun man. Regardless if you feel that trash talk has a place in sports, it doesn't have a place in GAF leagues. There is no need for it at all.

Most of us play games because we enjoy them. Not because we are all incredible athletes in the real life and after we get home from stomping on some real life competition down at the local gym we can't wait to get online to continue our bravado. That's not GAF.

People don't need to hear about how you dominated them and then "let off the gas" in the latter parts of the game.

I don't really know why you feel that this is how it should be done. But you are the first that I know of in our leagues that is downright rude after a win. FMT, Wellie,DM, MrBob, Coldblooded, you name em, I've never seen them post anything in our league threads that would belittle an opponent. Heck most of them will spends hours trying to teach someone how to be play the game better.
Imagine that, FMT plays someone. Destroys them and then offers to play them again so that he can offer some pointers and give some tips on what his opponent should have done in certain situations.

If you are not interested in changing your attitude and tone then maybe you shouldn't be playing in these leagues.
