I didn't have a single deep completion (talking 20+ yards at the point of the catch) in 5 games. Maybe I'm not cheesing the hail mary like some people, though.

So you can take a look at the rosters for each team online already. If you go to TeamBuilder, create a team, then load the roster template of the team you want to check out.

New post over at the EA Sports blog on the Dynasty Wire and StoryBuilder features. As an old user of Dynasty Central in the PS2/Xbox days I'm loving all of this.

http://ncaafootball.easports.com/blog.action?blogId=DynastyWire

"As I said earlier, Dynasty Wire is your archive for every human game played in the Dynasty. If you have a 12 man Dynasty, with a 13 game a year schedule, and every game has 15 highlights saved, for all 60 years of a Dynasty you would have 140,400 highlights at your fingertips when going to create a story. "

i played a few games on heisman and maybe i'm just imagining things but it seemed to run a tad slower. either that or im getting used to the speed, i dont know.

Confirmation that the dynasty limit is set at 12 again?

I figured it is 12, and they confirm it by the section listings in the demo.

Looking through Ohio U. and PITT roster's now. Accidentally cilcked on OSU and saw Pryor was a 94. :lol :\

Pretty much every starter on Alabama is over 90. Half the Sub's are too.

Though, who is #2 MLB. I don't know a #2 MLB

Scanned PITTs roster and lot of good players there, as well, just poor backups and a awful secondary. :lol

Dion Lewis looks insane, though.

Seems wierd for Tana to be #2, but then again, didn't see him hit the field last year. He is a 4 star or 5 star, from memory.

Alabama might be too strong for the game. I'm hearing 97 rated overall, and from seeing the roster, I can see that.

How about neither of us play as Alabama!

LOL Only if I'm forced to use a 3 star or less team!

I can't wait to run with Ingram and Richardson in this game.

I'd like to join if there is a spot. I'd prefer to use Miami Fla. but I'm cool with whatever.

actually ignore this, I just remembered I'll be gone the two weeks after this comes out. :(

I'd prefer one of the two "career" choices. Either #2 or #3 works for me.

I'll be going with Rutgers.

While their Overall should be better than anyone elses, it should be straight 99's
Captured before you get a chance to change it. We all know what you meant.

Closed Dynasty
CLOSED!

*barring a possible playoff to use Alabama*

Seriously, a closed Dynasty needs to be on something other than "stars", because Arkansas is a 90 rated 3 star team...

Just do no teams in the top 25.

UGA rated 90 unrated :lol

I think I saw somewhere a post about the teambuilder website not being fully correct with the final results. Same could be said for that video of the teams @ E3.

I believe that's what "preliminary" means.

The reason I had it at three stars last year was to give people the chance to take over teams on the cusp of potentially being powerhouses. If you guys really wanna go closed/career, I can make it two stars instead of three. That would solve the ratings talk quick.

Ohio U is two stars so either way I'm cool with it. Even a team like Pitt is four star, but have lot of talent everywhere minus DB.

Bobcats lost Taylor Price to the Draft so they probably have no one now. :lol

The game plays great, this may be the first year I pick up the game. I am interesting in joining a dynasty if there is room or if you start another one. I would be interested in running with NC State.

Okay folks, the majority of people in the thread are fine with the "Career"-style approach we ran last year, so that's what we're doing again. If someone didn't outright say what style they wanted, I looked at their initial team choice (UNLV, Houston, Cal, etc.) and factored it in the decision.

That said, a few people brought up a good point earlier about not just looking at the prestige when deciding what teams to pick. Going as low as two stars to start might be too much for some people, so I'm tweaking the rule a bit. From this point forward, teams you pick must have at the most three stars of prestige with an overall rating no higher than 89. See the list a few posts up for reference if you're still interested and a team you picked doesn't fall into that category.

With that out the way, the next order of business is whether we leave the schools where they are or to move some around to create some psuedo-custom conferences for people to play more human controlled games. The floor's open!

The online dynasty updates sound so amazing. I have been wanting something like that since the old PS2 versions. Hopefully you can export all the info out as a spreadsheet or something in case they take down the servers in a year or whatever.... or they allow you to continue the same dynasty in the next version of NCAA.

I'd move for create a conference-ish. Or at least make sure that there isn't a conference with only 1-3 people in it. Say at least 6 per conference, if not the full 12.

I'd also like either Texas Tech or Miss. State

This is something I've always hoped would work its way into both NCAA and Madden one day. For people like yours truly who like building teams in their own image in these games, you're only really getting to that point in seasons five/six, which is right around the average length our leagues last. Hopefully one day EA can work some of that synergy with their folks at Bioware (Mass Effect's importing) to figure out how to do it for these games eventually.

I forgot to add the changes I made to the OP in the post above, but yeah, that's what I had in mind for it...

Custom Conference (s) - Given the current landscape of college sports, this may be fun to try out. We'd all be in one conference or two with six members each that both had a championship. This would also allow more human competition and for everybody to at least have a shot at making a bowl game.

That only excludes like 3 teams. I'm sure people disagree with me but I wouldnt mind seeing the rating cap lower. 85-87

Aside from those teams, the rest mostly balance out and still give people a decent amount of choice without being too stacked to start.

FrenchMovieTheme said:
dang lots of interest! we might have to split up the dynasties :/

I honestly doubt it since some people will inevitably drop between now and when we start (people wanting to play open teams, not showing up, etc.) , but if it comes to that, this is the only one that I'll be running. I'm sure other folks can step up and start another one if that became the case, though.
