This has been tried before and it rarely works because so many people have 70s and guilds they end up going back to, but with Lich King coming up; there is time for people to get new 70s prior to its launch and we can set one specific server as the "official" NeoGAF meeting place.

While I'd prefer to play on a PST server, it may be a good idea to go CST in terms of time zones.

PVP is preferable, but if we selected a PVE or RP server; everyone could have a Horde AND Alliance character on the same server and there could be Horde and Alliance guilds.

The official NeoGAF WoW server is Gurubashi Horde.

Guild is Gnomes are Food.

I just recently bought a computer just to play Blizzard games on high settings (yes, my old comp couldn't even do that :lol ) and was wondering what server to play on, what guild to join, etc. If this came true I'd definately start a character on the Official NeoGaf Server.

So, how does one aquire a server anyway?
GAF: "Hey Blizzard, we need GAF server, K?"

EDIT: I'm Pacific time btw, so I'd prefer a PCT server, but going central as to appeal to everyone is a good idea too.

I wouldn't mind jumping back in for some WOW if Gaf was involved I really only play PVP though> PVE doesn't keep me entertained long enough. I'm central time, but I'm a night owl so anything goes with me.

Yeah, I know, but my main characters (70 Shaman, 60 Warlock) are on a PVE server so I would just like to switch around, I have a 48 Warrior on a PVP realm and I've had a bit of fun with that.

I'm playing WoW again and while I may consider rolling something on a NeoGAF server it would take something pretty drastic to get me to make it my main. But hey, I'll give it a shot.

After growing bored with WoW (it took almost 2 years), I took a 6 month break. This is something that might get me interested again, so I'm in if it happens. No preference as to the server.

This may come as a random thought but when I played WoW the first time I stopped playing thinking I was missing something from WoW. I know it's asking a lot, but if we did a RP server maybe that'd bring a new experience to the table to keep things more fresh. I've always been curious to see roleplaying in a video game.

Also, if you guys insist on PVP, I say we go the horde side since you know that everyone else who joins our server is going to go Alliance anyway, making things really unbalanced.

id be so down for this. im rockin three 70s atm (shadowpriest rogue and mage) and im working on a warlock. id definetly be down to xfer my lock to whatever server, or heck, if you guys end up been majority horde, id just reroll a lock

PvP will be fine since we'll have a bunch of ppl playing together, so we can watch eachother's backs. PvE is great for solo leveling but my favorite memories of WoW are the impromptu battles between two groups.

It's lookin' like Horde. Thank goodness, I hate alliance for some reason. I guess it's because the races are so generic. There's humans, short humans, shorter humans, and humans with purple skin and pointy ears. Not very diverse...

I'm rolling too, like others, so I think there'll be lots of opportunities to guild up and do low lvl dungeons.

I'd actually be interested in starting WoW again if this goes anywhere. My biggest reason I quit was because I simply couldn't find a guild I was happy with that actually did things together.

I have a 70 alliance character already, but I don't have a problem with rerolling horde. PvP or PvE doesn't matter to me.

For anyone who has played WoW in the past year is PVP popular in the 40s anymore? This is almost tempting, but I have no real desire buy/play Burning Crusade, but I did like doing the PVP thing in the 40s non-stop.

all right, when the server is decided I'll roll a horde lock (orc ftw) on there I guess. Don't know how long I'll play since I'm also leveling an orc shaman with some non-GAF friends on a different server (the one I started out on) but I won't really do anything great with him anyway.

Azshara server? Its pst i think, its PVP, and i know there's a bunch of gaf'ers that went there (but quit), Kintaro, shouta, basically the FFXI guildshell, and im currently playing there, horde side.
