Official NeoGAF World of Warcraft Guild and Server

i just created a Tauren druid

named Pedobearlol

edit: tauren are so ugly tho, not sure if i'd want to play one

i only like orc or ud horde side, i'll decide, but i kinda would like to play horde

maybe orc shaman or UD priest/lock
 
omg, Gurubashi? I'm re-installing right now. I spent most my time on Allies, but that is where my horde characters are. I'll jump in and join once I can get on, man it would be awesome to finally have a GAF crew like we did in FFXI.

edit: I have no money on here really, but I'll try to help if I can.
 
I'm attempting to get WoW reinstalled as well speak. Problem is whenever I start it up I get some "unidentified version" error. I'm guessing it has to be either a security program or some sort of malware (trojan?) disrupting the program, but I can't see to pinpoint anything that helps. Any ideas?

you may want to turn off your antivirus, especially if you use Norton. apparently sometimes Norton messes with WoW installations.
 
fark i dont want to reinstall and sign up again. Although i am an aussie, but playing on the weekends with some gaf guys would be fun and leveling up wouldnt be hard due to the xp increase. Must resist. Hope you guys have alot of fun though.

Hmm, took a visit in the realm today to see the economy, coming from azshara which is the lowest pop server in NA the auction's a tad different, much more diversity in gurubashi but more competition with what i used to make money on...


Im wondering if i should pay a transfer, nobody i used to know plays on azshara anymore :\

All of the xfers I've heard of (and the one I've done) have only taken an hour.
 
Undead mage, Kheled. Go ahead and invite me, I rerolled so it's a new character. (I didn't wanna transfer my characters from the server they are on already)
 
I can't decide if I should just start a brand new character or transfer my Alliance 70 over, get someone to trade the gold by having me buy some expenisve piece of cloth from the neutral AH that they put up, and then delete my 70 and create a Horde toon to get my gold back...

Just need to find someone I can trust that won't steal it... :lol
 
Just started up WoW last month and got an Gnome mage on Silvermoon (PvE) to lvl 32...think I'll start up a new character for this. Undecided about race/class atm...details to follow.

Just join so i can have an excuse to say goodbye to azshara and move my character damnit :p

Hunter is @ lvl 60 atm, 300 enchanting 300 engineering, got to outlands @ 58, really freaking nice place. Now im trying to find a way to get my epic mount, bleh @ that though.

Ran BFD last night, and the priest bailed right after the first boss. So our pally called in a 63 Pally from their guild who ran us through the instance. :lol
 
I almost bought the WoW battlechest this past weekend.

Dammit GAF quit tempting me :/

Edit: Let me ask this question, can progress be made playing WoW AT MOST 60-90 minutes a night? During the week I don't have much more time than that. On weekends I can play a bit more than that.

With the new leveling curve, yes. And I think most of the gaffas in the guild have other characters to play or so forth. We aren't exactly power leveling so you'll have no problems catching up.

Fine, I did! So there.

I'm on the server. Name is Darshiro. Undead Warlock. I also started two other characters to mess around with and see what I like, but I guess for now, this is the guy. It's pretty fun so far. Melting faces.

Been looking for a new server to play on, but I'm not Gurubashi is the server for me since I'm EST. Awesome idea though and I hope it holds up well.
 
From Azshara (EST) i have an average of 161ms latency (green), on gurubashi (PST) i have 500+ (yellow). I didnt think the difference would be that big o_o

Will it affect Arena/BG pvp latency? or the BG/arena have their seperate servers? But then, where are those situated and do they try to put EST players with EST in battlegrounds so there's little lag or something?

All the servers are in the same location. The time zones were just to get players who were on the same schedule. Your latency shouldn't be affected at all. It might just be because it's a higher population server.

Wrong. They have servers on both the west coast and east coast in separate datacenters. The east coast datacenter was hit by a tornado during beta.

Just dinged 30.
