Well I just checked my latency on Gurubashi (PST) and it was 224ms. I then went to Mal'Ganis (CST) and my latency was 232ms. I live on the East Coast. Therefore, I think my argument that the server timezone should not affect latency stands.

I would definitely be interested in this, as not many people where I live play WoW, so it's hard to find a good group of people you can trust to play with.
How bad do you think the latency would be coming from the UK? I've played on a US server a little bit from here and it didn't seem too bad at the time...

I used to play hardcore on the US servers, and you can play fine, I used to raid MC and crap way back. However I wouldn't recommend it, you'll have to stay up pretty late to raid, and generally you won't be online at the peak hours.

Guild Leader - You should enable for all members the ability to edit your own "note"...then we can put our board names in there so people know who we are
honestly, when I look at what the guild needs, it seems like they need warriors and maybe some kind of healers. not really sure on that last one.
I got my mage to 22 but I bet I will hate him when I start going into contested zones and getting one shotted by night elf rogues/hunters with nothing better to do. I already had some stupid druid trying to annoy me in ghostlands yesterday, as if I couldn't tell he was level 70.

Booo I think the server just died.
I guess I shouldn't say we need warriors... I don't even know what, as a guild, we "need," but looking at the roster there are very few tanks, shamans, and, really, just about everything but mages/locks/priests/druids. not that it really matters since most of the guild is pretty low level.

I always just use Photek UI. Fairly minimalistic, doesn't bog performance down.

1st movie is some staged story and some pvp, some good fights too.
2nd movie about Xmas, i laughed out loud when he gave the gift to gamon (you know, the tauren that hangs at orgrimmar tavern and always gets killed).

Edit: What's the opinion on multiple characters in the guild (never been part of one before). The Warrior I'm playing is near caught up to my Priest but isn't part of the guild, think I might prefer to make him my main.

Just upgraded my account from trial to full + BC. Blizzard is like a drug dealer, the first hit is always free :lol
I will say that it's cool that Blizz lets the rest of my trial run out + my free month before charging me. Essentially I get to play free for a month and a half.

sorry that I haven't been on gurubashi much lately. I just got hooked on leveling my shaman on a pve server again, plus my WoW account runs out (temporarily) the same week that SSBB comes out. I'm not leaving my WoW account cancelled for a long time, though. soon as I have the money again for another 3 month plan I'll renew and play again.

How many people are in the guild right now? I am thinking of starting up again so I can have a 70 in time for Lich King and a NeoGAF guild would be sweeeeet.
Manabyte made me guild leader yesterday, but today my mom exploded and deleted the game off the mac, deleted my profile and password protected the mac so i couldn't get on. Therefore the guild is officially dead. I have no way of getting on to transfer leadership. Also, I apologize to Valanos as in the near future there is no way of me being able to pay you the 600 gold for the mount you let me borrow because there is no way of me being able to get into the game.
