I fixed the avatar for fuck's sake! I did not even know it was problem until this morning. I've had it for what, 4 days now with no complaint? That better not have been you Wellington, we Bengals fans have waited too long for fans of Sheli and the band of Coughlin idiots to bring us down!

Jesus, I don't go the forum once in the evening and this happens.

EDIT: Changed back. F all teams except the Bengals! WHO DEY

I didn't change it.

Well davis is kinda hurt. Larry Johnson is ready to be the primary back, if holmes gets hurt johnson is going to bring in some big numbers.

Tell me what you think about this FF trade, guys:

I gave up:

Larry Johnson (Chiefs)
Roy Williams (Lions)

for

Stephen Davis (Panthers)

That's a pretty bad deal. You undervalued Johnson because of one bad game, and overvalued Davis because he had by far the best game he'll have all year. The Cheifs running game won't look as bad as it did last week, especially now that they aren't playing in Denver any more this year and that they will be getting offensive line starters back soon.

Larry Johnson is overrated. Granted, if Priest Holmes goes down, I'll have the sorry end of the deal, but that's a big if. Larry had ONE good game against the Jets in week 1, where he scored 2 touchdowns, but has been quiet ever since. Stephen Davis, at least, is a starting RB and a legitimate goal-line back (meaning he won't be replaced by another back inside the other team's 5).

I think this is a good, fair trade.

He scored a touchdown in week 2 also, which would have broke a record if he got 2 touchdowns in that game.. as he finished last year with 2 touchdowns in 6 straight games? He won't put up those kind of stats only getting 1/3rd of the carries, but most people would say hold onto him based on Holmes recent injury history. If Holmes goes down again, Johnson could come in and help carry you through the playoffs.

Anyway he's got 3 TD's this year.. which is the total of both my starting RB's so it's not too terrible :lol McCallister has 3 for me and Clinton Portis has no clue where the endzone is in the skins offense.

Tell me about it. I drafted him in the 2nd round. If he doesn't give me a TD this week, I'm gonna consider benching him.

You got the wrong end of the deal regardless of whether Holmes goes down. Davis is likely to get hurt, and even if he doesn't he'll be sharing caries to prevent himself from being hurt soon. Anyway, Larry Johnson as a backup is about as valuable as Stephen Davis the starter even assuming Holmes and Davis are perfectly healthy, so you pretty much gave up a receiver who has the talent to put up huge numbers at times for nothing.

edit: Also, if the person you traded with has Holmes, you got absolutely raped. You should have been able to get a ridiculous amount in return for Johnson alone if you traded him to somebody with Priest. If not, you still got the wrong side of the deal, but it's not as bad.

Roy Williams is a stud. I don't question his ability to make plays...I question his chemistry with Harrington, who's sucking it up big time. I have enough CONTRIBUTING WRs.

I am officially going to cry.

The local CBS station is actually airing Jets-Ravens tomorrow.

Somebody, please help me.

Denver-Jacksonville? Indy-Tennessee? How about the game of the week in New England v San Diego? Fuck no. Let's air a late game, when the local team is playing at that time too! Yeah! Why THE FUCK would any CBS station not in Baltimore or New York(Hell, including those markets) bother airing that game? What asshole decided that NE-SD should not be aired in every fucking market in the nation that doesn't have a local AFC team playing at 1? What asshole do I have to kill?

Hah, I got Pats-Chargers, and Rams-Giants for the early games, and Philly-KC for the late game. Woot!

This, on top of Arizona-San Fran, makes me want to go out and do something other than watch football tomorrow.

You hear that NFL?!? YOU LOST YOUR GRIP ON ME FOR ONE SUNDAY!

CURRENT TALLY-NFL-440, MOVIE THEATERS-1

I smell a comeback!

I hate how they don't do double headers on each Sunday for both Fox and CBS. I got the good end this week: NE-SD then Phi-KC for the late game but it could have been worse.

Last Week: 10-4
Overall Record: 25-21

Buffalo at New Orleans 1:00 p.m. – The Saint’s look like they’re back to their normal up and down ways. It’s tough to figure how their emotions will play into this one since they’re finally at “home.” Buffalo should be able to move the ball against this team and hopefully silence their whining. For the past two weeks they’ve been “America’s Bitchiest Team.”

Denver at Jacksonville 1:00 p.m. – I’ve been on the Jags bandwagon since the start and they’ve given me no reason to hop off. They’re back at home after a gutsy win last week and should be able to match or exceed the intensity of the Broncos who are coming off a Monday night laugher.

Detroit at Tampa Bay 1:00 p.m. – As Mike Ditka’s said more times than I can count, “John Gruden hasn’t forgotten how to coach.” The Bucs have a nasty defense, a young running back that can seemingly do it all, and a veteran QB who can manage the offense. Detroit still looks like a mess and their only win this year came against a GB team that’s falling apart.

Houston at Cincinnati 1:00 p.m. – The Bengals have looked better every week and their offense passed a tough test last week against the Bears. Houston’s given no indication that they can beat a team of this caliber and their offense will continue to struggle on the road.

Indianapolis at Tennessee 1:00 p.m. – The Titans have hung in there the last two weeks and are well coached. But the Colts have owned them the last 2 years. Being on the road shouldn’t matter; Tenn. is Peyton’s home away from home.

San Diego at New England 1:00 p.m. – The Chargers finally made use of their offensive talent last week in a game they desperately needed to win. But the Patriots keep finding ways to win games and pulled out a thriller last week. They have some injury concerns but after going 12 for 12 at the end of last weeks game Brady must be drooling after watching what Eli did in SD last week.

Seattle at Washington 1:00 p.m. – This is a tough game to pick, I don’t like how either team is constructed. That said, Washington only out-played the Cowboys for about two minutes in their last win and the bye may have killed off a lot the momentum coming out of it. Seattle does not normally play well on the road but they should have enough offense and a good enough defense to control the clock.

St. Louis at N.Y. Giants 1:00 p.m. – This has the makings of a great game. Both team’s offenses should be able to make plays and there’s some nice history between these two going back to the late 90’s. I’ll take the Giants at home, with a defense that will be motivated to make-up for last week’s embarrassment against a Rams o-line that’s letting Bulger get punished.

N.Y. Jets at Baltimore 4:05 p.m. – This game could be tough to watch. Bollinger is too much of an unknown for me to take the Jets and I assume the Ravens will work to get their running game back on track. The Jets’ defense is strong but the Jags showed last week that if you keep pounding them you’ll get some yardage.

Dallas at Oakland 4:15 p.m. – Oakland’s going to get a win sooner or later but I don’t think they match-up well against the Cowboys. Parcells has done a great job managing Bledsoe and they should be able to beat the Raiders with the passing game.

Minnesota at Atlanta 4:15 p.m. – Still haven’t gotten a pick right when the Vikings are involved this year. But I’ll take the Falcons at home and with a defense that could make Dante’s life miserable again. D.V.D. looked great against Buffalo last week and should have an easier time against Minnesota’s inconsistent and banged-up defense.

Philadelphia at Kansas City 4:15 p.m. – I’ll go against the grain and pick the Eagles to win at the Arrowhead. The Chiefs two wins came against teams that are a combined 1-5 and were embarrassed last week. Philly should be doing more to protect McNabb and that would mean a healthy dose of Westbrook.

San Francisco at Arizona 8:30 p.m. – SF showed some fire last week and looked better in their loss to Dallas than Arizona has all season. Besides, this game’s at a neutral site (negating what little home field adv. the Cardinals normally have) and Nolan should be able to fire the troops up for a prime-time victory.

Green Bay at Carolina 9:00 p.m. – The Panthers have burned me every week so far! For their sake they’d better win this game because a loss at home to the Packers would be humiliating. GB is disintegrating and their weak offensive line and defense should be exploited by Carolina.

I'll be the brown-haired slender guy in the Matt Jones Jersey near the 20 yard line if anybody catches the Jags game:P

Heh. I'll look out for you on the radio. :)

I've finally managed to locate my dream jersey - with any luck next week I'll be the only person in the UK listening to the game in a black alternate #10 Jags jersey. :D

Dr. Ray Brassieur, an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, thinks the Saints cheer is attributable to a mid-20th century American film.

A character in the movie hears a noise and shouts, "Who dat?"

When the echo of his voice responds, "Who dat?" the character answers with, "Who dat say 'Who dat' when I say 'Who dat?' "

well now I wanna know what that movie is.

Can someone explain to me why CBS usually shows only one game a week? Instead of watching Ninja's boy Brady get his ass kicked by the Chargers, they are showing some old people informercial instead.

Wouldn't an NFL game and the ad money they comes with it be a little bit more profitable than some informercial trying to scam old people out of their money for some miracle cure for oldness?

Wow Seattle blocked the Redskins FG attempt. Too bad that had been a nice mostly running drive til it died in the red zone.

Josh Brown with a 54yd FG for the Seahawks..... damn... play before Hasselbeck was running for his LIFE... good job to get out of the pocket so he could throw that ball away cause they were coming for his ass.
