The thing is....

Women will destroy any one group in the general election where Hillary is concerned. She will likely win. My mother, who always votes republican, will vote for her she has already said.

Case closed. I didn't know your mom would change parties for Hillary. Women don't like Hillary either. She will not beat McCain.

"Obama is a fairy tale, young man".

man people, stop with the doom and gloom. Obama 36 Clinton 39. That's very close.

Both of them still have a very strong chance.

Fuck it all...

What the hell man... what the hell?

Now I have a fucked off fiance upstairs, a stomach full of awful pizza, and a fuck-all state primary.

How did this day go so wrong? Total bullshit...
What's a "fucked off fiance"?

I honestly think the "experience factor" is going to be a major achilles heel for Obama .. and when all of this hype begins to settle down, people will really start to question whether he is "ready" or not. Especially older people.
I thought that was always supposed to be his weakness. It certainly was during most/all of 2007 during any and all talk about the Democrat candidates.

Hell, I was saying that the "experience" issue was going to be the biggest problem for Obama back when people were first talking about the idea of an Obama campaign run in 2008.

Honestly, I didn't think Obama would be this strong a candidate at this point because of it.

I keep thinking that too, but as the presidential election draws closer, Americans tend to forget about qualifications and platforms and just vote for who they "like". You can see it happening right here. Hillary is a bitch! etc.

I think she's heavily favorite against anyone but McCaine, and can quite easily beat him as well.

Not a chance. It's not only Rep's that won't vote for her it's Dems too.

Whatever the fuck stamped off upstairs and is waiting to get pissed at because I wouldn't let her put her fucking legs on lap while I cried with GAF over the voting results.

The epic meltdowns raining down in this thread are largely unneeded except for comedy.

This isn't the end at all. South Carolina is going to be fucking interesting, just as I said earlier. Doesn't Hilary have the black vote and the women vote down? If she does, she wins SC.

Experience? George W Bush had tons of executive experience and look how well he did as president.
Texas has an extremely weak governor actually (IIRC). So his executive experience was actually kinda limited.

Obama is doing his trademark "rise above the negativity", which is brilliant, moving and so refreshing. Not a victory speech, a CHANGE SPEECH.

I WANT CHANGE, FUCK YOU NH

1) I blame polls.

Yesterdays "10% lead for Obama" meant that Obama voters didnt vote. Whats the point, hed won already right?

2) I blame young voters. CNN kept waiting for college voters. Personal college experience: College kids dont vote. They bitch all day, but at the end of it "I dont want to register, too much hassle"

GUYS

It was a narrow victory. RELAX. There's still a long way to go on the campaign trail.

7,000 people AND including the independent voters? thats pretty important.

Well, the dream was nice while it lasted. Back to American oligarchy.

Thanks NH for shitting on the parade.

It very unlikely that Obama will come out on top on super Tuesday with this loss. How much he lost by is irrelevant. He lost.

BINGO. Especially the second part.

Wtf are you smoking? It's just New Hampshire.

I know it's just NH, but I can't see Obama winning enough states on Super Tuesday, especially against the huge momentum Clinton now has with this comeback win. And a Clinton nom is, in my opinion, is just bad.

You don't think that Hillary has learned how to court any woman who doesn't love her as a result of the Obama debacle? The vast majority of women will vote for her if she is the nom, even if they say outside the poll sites that they didn't.

By the time they hit their 40s they ain't generation "X" anymore, just a bunch of dudes with mortgages, RSPs, 411Ks, looking forward to the next fancy SUV they're going to buy and upgrading that back porch. That silly angst can only last so long, I lost mine when I was 25.
Still, you can't deny that each generation is less socially backwards than the last. Is gay marriage an issue among most people in their 30's and under? Do you think it'll be a campaign issue in 2024?

The question is, will Edwards bow out now and endorse Obama or will he hold out for South Carolina's numbers?

He WILL hold out. He can still pull a comeback kid. Richardson though is going to fold as soon as he can figure out who to bride for the VP

yupp. my lone hope is this lihts a fire.

Like I said, it doesn't really matter how close it was today... a loss for Obama was infinitely worse than one for Hillary. He needed that growing tide, to show voters that the people would rally behind him.. that he stood a real chance. Now, once again the voters will shift into their perception of what "inevitability" means, the talking point of Bill and the she-demon Hillary.

While I genuinely hope I'm wrong, I don't think there's any close race now. I think Hillary will ride this growing wave to Super Tuesday, where Obama stands no chance.
