Official NH Primary Results Thread

You don't think that Hillary has learned how to court any woman who doesn't love her as a result of the Obama debacle? The vast majority of women will vote for her if she is the nom, even if they say outside the poll sites that they didn't.

If you say so. What's a vast majority? 70%?

While this is only one primary, and the loss may seem insignificant, it is the loss of momentum that worries me. Hillary already has many larger states locked up, and when Super Tuesday comes around, Obama needs all the momentum he can get to overcome Hillary.

Polls were on Obama's side too.

SNAP
Indeed.
But they're almost as good as an indicator as shouting "OMG, HITLEREY WON, GOP PRESIDENT, 12 NEW SCALIAS IN THE SUPREME COURT".
almost.

(I still stand by my assessment, look at the 06 election, people are PISSED at the GOP).

The question is, will Edwards bow out now and endorse Obama or will he hold out for South Carolina's numbers?
Edwards made it pretty clear in his speech that he wasn't bowing out.

Sure, they're pissed.

But let's say they're pissed enough to vote in Hillary. It's still Hillary. Country is still fucked.

Like I said, it doesn't really matter how close it was today... a loss for Obama was infinitely worse than one for Hillary. He needed that growing tide, to show voters that the people would rally behind him.. that he stood a real chance. Now, once again the voters will shift into their perception of what "inevitability" means, the talking point of Bill and the she-demon Hillary.

While I genuinely hope I'm wrong, I don't think there's any close race now. I think Hillary will ride this growing wave to Super Tuesday, where Obama stands no chance.
And she has the advantage on Feb 5th. He needed the double whammy of a two in a row victory to boost himself then. This makes it fall apart.

He WILL hold out. He can still pull a comeback kid. Richardson though is going to fold as soon as he can figure out who to bride for the VP

That is the biggest dick move, if he does not pull out. He needs to relize that he has been taking it up the ass and just pull out and have his supporters go for Obama.

It's not Hillary who can make speeches like that.

Obama or nothing!

Still, you can't deny that each generation is less socially backwards than the last. Is gay marriage an issue among most people in their 30's and under? Do you think it'll be a campaign issue in 2024?

That's what they thought back in the 60s.
It will continue. Hell, there's even been a backlash of conservatism.

Oh and people, New Hampshire is in fucking New England.
As demonstrated by the Patriots, it's a region filled with devil spawns and soulless husks of men.

Taking it in the ass? He has done way better than anyone could have expected. Second place in Iowa, for example. He has to like his chances in a southern state as well. No way in hell is he bowing out.

these yes we can chants sound like hbk chants... i keep waiting for shawn to come out for a last second save.

Exactly. This is what people who say Obama only narrowly lost don't understand.

I like how all the candidates have their own entrance music.

Hilary needs to run out from behind some curtains and powerbomb Obama through a podium.

edit:

Wow I didn't see that before I posted :lol

The only change old people (the voters lol) want to happen is their diapers.

I know this sentence is poorly constructed, but I can't figure out the proper way to establish parallelism here.

NH failed the entire country here. I thought they were a progressive state, instead they voted to continue the Clinton dynasty, pathetic.
If anything they voted to keep the debate going.

You realize if Hillary lost and therefore was pressured to drop out, or ended up not being viewed as being significant, you'd have Obama and Edwards arguing with each other. They seem to get along pretty well overall.

The "rule" that you have to win Iowa and/or New Hampshire in order to be electable... is it as relevant anymore? How long of a gap was there between Iowa and NH before? Now it's five days.

The time between now and Super Tuesday, on the other hand...

i'm going to sit around on my porch and become a crotchety old man until this country gets off its lethargic ass and starts a revolution. Then I'll shotgun them bitches

I see "change" is this election's "flip flopper."

Don't forget "comeback kid" First it was Obama, now hillary, and on the republican side they are calling McCain the comeback kid. America loves an underdog story. DIE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS!

so obama losing in NH means hes not gonna win anywhere else? im confused. i dont really follow politics too much (they bitch worse than the hd dvd vs blu-ray thread) so im really interested in why everyone is sayin hillary "antichrist" clinton is now gonna win the dem nod?

Then why are you voting for a party which is for gun control?

Argh at the pictures of Hilary all happy... It;s the day after the 2004 elections all over again, and the pictures make me similarly sick.

:(

Obama is the best thing that happened to American politics in a decade. He's got my full support and I don't even live in the US.

Man, if this upsets Obama fans then you aren't going to like the Superdelegate votes. Hillary is creaming Obama in that

Hillary has other states locked up, maybe.

But a lot of polls (in fact, iirc, most of them) said Hillary was probably going to win Iowa. She did not. She fell hard there.

And a lot of polls said Obama would take NH. He didn't.

Polls seem to be a little off right now.

Junior Members aren't allowed to make good posts!

That's a great point, but momentum is only as good as the last primary. He can easily regain it back with a decisive win in SC. As I have said before, MANY candidates have stumbled in NH, only to come back and win the nomination.

Maybe the Ron Paul fans could stop fucking around and vote for Obama like they really would anyway.

Doom and Gloom. Ignore it. Hillary, Obama and Edwards all still have a chance. This only fucks over everyone below them

Oh shit... here comes the tears...
