I told you a long time ago that the Leafs had a better team than the Habs. Sorry you had to find out like this.X26 said:awesome, soon the habs will be 4 games back of .500 while the fucking leafs are lighting teams up, ugh

Again keep telling yourself that to soothe your hurt when the Leafs pass you. In the modern NHL they count POINTS in games played to determine .500 or not. Leafs now have 23 points in 27 games.X26 said:Points are points sure but looking to see if a team is even winning half their games is a good indicator of how good/bad they are. Loser points for pity parity just skew everything

it's not the same. at all. OTL points exist and teams play appropriately (i.e., more recklessly). not to mention that the existence of a shootout loss replaces the possibility of points from ties, so it's only fair that teams receive a point.X26 said:an overtime loss is still a loss
and i think its indicating abilities are limited! definitely would taint a team's merit, though, when they squeak into the eighth seed with 20 OTL pointsX26 said:Well it's a personal indicator for me with adding up L and OTL and gauging how good a team is, never said it should be a league policy or whatever

Stastny was SO close.
Glad to see Budaj play well though. Galiardi was really sick too. I feel a little robbed. Oh well.
i think you mean they wouldnt mind, and yeah i obviously agree. was just talking about merit, for whatever thats worthKave_Man said:I'm sure most people wouldn't care to be the team to squeak in with 20 OTL points instead of being the team that finished 9th and was 10 games over .500.

11 points in 3 games. 11 POINTS IN 3 GAMES.
Empty netter or whatever, they all count. Malkin also added 3 assists.
ili0926 said:Yeah the 3rd period has been a real weakness for the Avs...is it the fatigue? Youthful concentration loss? I hope it's the latter.
Kifimbo said:Crosby needs decent linemates. He has more goals than Ovechkin.
Getzlaf started out really slow. I ended up trading him off my fantasy team for Spezza, who was almost a point per game at the time. Then Getzlaf ends up scoring 20 points in his next 10 games, while Spezza has had like 2.Socreges said:4 of the top 5 point-getters are now canadian. i didnt realize perry and getzlaf were producing so much, despite their team being shit otherwise
Yeah, it must suck to have to play 82 road games each year. :lolzedge said:More Flames fans than Coyote fans in Phoenix.. why am I not surprised.. :lol
