I thought the opener was definately a big step in the right direction. The show had become way too bogged down in subplots and mini-dramas.
 
If they don't bring back the Carver at LEAST bring back Rhona Mitra. Boy was she hot!

But yeah, I've still gotta catch up on Season 4, the one where the villain is apparently a chick named James or something.

Am I honestly missing out on anything? Or can I skip to Season 5?

That would be a shame.

I thought the Carver ark was great until the last episode of Season 3. Id like to see closure on it.

Carver back then gave Nip/Tuck its best ratings.

Even though most of it was bad id watch it. It gives and ending to a familar face to Season 1 and sets up their move to LA.

The Carver was the single biggest fuckup in all of Nip/Tuck. I swear, it felt like I was watching CSI and not Nip/Tuck during all of season 3.

Single most unintentionally funny season in TV i've ever seen.
 
I really enjoyed the pilot for S5. Seems like they're back on track.. no more michael jackson son and annoying wife + midget. pussy lips with coolidge was fucking hilarious!


and please no more mexican criminal ghost. I really hated his character

Gallardo was great.

Overall, a really good opening to the season. I look forward to seeing where it goes from here.
 
How many episodes have airred so far? I'm almost done with the James season, and I wanna know how much longer I have before it'll be "too much to catch up on".
 
This show has no concept of reality anymore:

Sean possibly fucking his ex-wife's girlfriend's daughter.

Porn star girlfriend who fucked current boyfriends' father (both raised and genetic) who are crack smoking Scientologists.

Only Nip/Tuck

Great season so far
 
i don't like that they brought Matt and Julia back. I thought the move was going to mean that Sean and Christian were going to leave all that behind, now 3 eps in and its like their back in Miami again, only with a sprinkling of some rejected "Dirt" storylines thrown in with all the tv show stuff. Especially Matt. God i hate him. Wah i hate my foreskin Wah i date trannies Wah my dad's not my real dad Wah now im a skinhead Wah im a scientologist Wah now im a crackhead all of his storylines suck.
 
that crack scene with matt/kimber was the type of storyline i'd been wanting too see since the golden season (2... and the beginning of 3). matt gets a lot of hate for reasons beyond me, but his story arcs are the darkest and most interesting. i'd gladly take more screen time with him. lesbians are boring. they're not provocative or envelope-pushing. but scientologists raising a baby while smoking crack? hell yes!
 
I thought this one was the best episode so far in the Season.

So many fucked up things happened in this episode and sounds like it gave some hints as to where the rest of the season was going to lead, with Eden and the Ass Bandit. Beats organ harvesting any day.

A dramatic improvement from Season 4 IMO.
 
Uggh, I'm getting sick of Eden.

Also starting to resent that Bioshock commercial just a bit.

Wasn't oliver platt's character in the room when rosie's character was talking about how she got fingered by Dr George?

Why the hell didn't he fight back when this same guy came in asking for a stool sample? I thought he'd realize this was the same impostor that was being talked about earlier.

todays episode was pure gold. The rosie eagle attack sequence had me in stitches.

It seems to me that he was incapable of fighting back because he was on pain killers from the surgery.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. Despite the fact that he's only dating Rosie's character to keep her from suing, i wasn't sure if he was gay for sure, though.

I disagree. The way he was clutching that device in his hand seems to indicate otherwise. He was either calling for help or he was pumping a huge dosage of pain killers into his system.

the text message about the throat part was it for me, in that it made me actually react with a "ooh damn", since Ive gotten use to the operation bloodiness and stuff.

I totally agree, it is like they never even moved.
Although I have been enjoying the new season so far I would have preferred it if they had ditched Sean's family.
 
Good episode tonight.

- Christian was fucking awesome in this episode.
- The meth adventures of Kimber and Matt.
- Lexington Steele and his secret society.
 
So far, this season is shaping up to be one of the better ones. I was having my doubts after last season. I'm a true Matt hater, but I am diggin' the story line with scientology/meth.


Oh, and I always knew he'd be a bottom. But wait, did he go through with it? I dont recall right now
