I'm going to end up using my Best Buy preorder case for the fourth disk since it's virtually the same packaging. Sucks that they couldn't work something else out though.

What a ludicrously unfunny joke! Why wouldn't they use the Japanese packaging?! Jesus Herbert Christ, Microsoft, it's like the opposite of Michael Corleone's problem. I keep trying to love the 360, but they keep driving me away.

It was based on a book? I thought it was just written by some award winning japanese book author, not actually derived from a book?

The writer provided the story for the game and all that, then he transferred them into a book. (Mostly the 1000 Years of Dreams bit I think)

I think the text of the "visual novel" segments of the game, the only parts of the game's story actually written by the award winning author, were collected and printed in book form.

That's seriously the most stupid shit ever, at least since the Halo 3 CE debacle. I can only surmise that the packaging for the rest of the world (even Australia got the JPN case) was too awesome for US gamers.

if there is enough bitching and this makes it out to the mainsteam sites.....I can see it getting addressed somehow

i'm still completely flabergasted about this....

I mean, its bad enough we get the completely generic NA art, as opposed the well done original.....and now we can't even get a fucking proper case

...I NEVER...NEVER SEEN A FUCKING CONSOLE GAME PACKAGED LIKE THIS.....

You'd think being on GAF we'd have an advantage since so many editors post here. I dont why they wouldnt be just as ticked when they recieved the game.

How many discs can that case hold. Why not just do slim cases per disc in a sleeve like the new buffy season sets.

i too am bumed about this packaging thing, but u know the game IMHO is soo fuckin awsome its
almost
worth trying to find another case that has folds/flaps/sleeves.
