Official POP 2 thread

Too late, ZA pages has already overexposed POP2 to the point it makes me sick of thinking about the game. ...and I really wanted to buy it a few days ago.

Really nice game. Much better than POP1. And Monica is really hot. :D
But I hate ropes and ninja girls :(. They drive me mad. oh.
 
I will not post any news at POP 2, because that game was released back in 1993... So there is nothing new about it now.

If there was an official Prince of Persia Warrior Within, then I'll post alll the news there. :D
 
I could but it'll only appear as "Prince of Persia: Warrior Within" thread on this page but on the main page it'll still be Official POP 2 thread. Ah what the hell, I'll do so anyways
 
Ding dong the ZA is banned.....I all of a sudden have a new spark of interest in POP2. I just hope the ban last till at least a month after the US release.
 
I saw the PoP WW commercial today. It showcases the prince beating the stuffing out of bad guys. It shows a girl in a skimpy outfit with huge ta-tas. THERE IS A GODSMACK SONG PLAYING OVER ALL OF IT.

All of these combined have made Ubi Soft the latest developers to completly sellout to the man. And they sold out hardcore. They should just retitle the game Prince of Persia: Revenue Within.
 
I just saw this commercial during Saturday Night Live. My purchasing threshold for this game is now permanently fixed at $20.

Is everyone waiting for this game to price drop, or just people on this board? Hard to see hordes of casuals lining up for this.
 
$5 or bust

Not remotely interested in this game at all after playing the demo. And I don't care if the demo is incomplete or an early build or whatever. The whole theme of the game turns me off

Irony would be if this game sold a million before January 15. I was a big fan of SoT and the first Prince of Persia was the first game I ever played :(

Thank you mainstream for ruining something other then Music.
 
i will rent it on gamefly, but the dark theme along with the addition of the shitty and completely incorrect music is a big minus in my book. i seen the developer in the OXM behind the scenes and he had that music on when developing the game so this is a case of a developer pushing his favorite music in on the game unfortunately.

Even if its not the great sequel we hoped for we all know it will be better than 90% of the adventure games out there.

I'd like to punch every member of the focus group, if that's true, in the nuts. Godsmack during the gameplay....ugh. I wish ZA Pages was here so he could make me feel better with his Prince of Persia spin. :( Isn't there a way to just take away the thread creation ability of a user? :lol
 
man i was pretty hyped about the game regardless of the new change in tone, but when ZA oversaturated the boards with his threads my hate for him spilled on to the game as well!

I dont understand why they dont just push new franchises instead of re-using an old one yet alienating it's whole core audience. I mean they could have made "Godsmack: Making The Band" since it's obviously what the lead designer wanted all along.

Splinter Cell 3 is looking brighter though, especially on the music side.

Yeah, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory = Amon Tobin's soundtrack = pure joy.
I hear the songs every god damned day since last August and i'm still not tired of it. That's a real good sign to me.
 
So.. I got to try out the Xbox version today. The game is such an improvement comparing to the E3 build. Daaamn! Tons of things to unlock too! :D

But is the first boss supposed to be ultra hard? I played on Normal and couldn't beat her on 4 tries... I had no problem with her in the demo.

bingo. this is a case where the lead developer forced his shitty music on us because he loved it so much. this shit needs to stop right now.
 
I'm like an hour into the game, I'm really liking it right now. The new moves are awesome, especially the one's you can pull off with double-wielding two weapons, awesome stuff. My favourite new move thus far has to be the one where you can jump onto a column in a room and swing around with your sword. I copped off like 5 enemies heads doing that once, it was unreal. The cuts scenes are beautiful, but is it just me, or does it look like the graphics got a little bit downgraded from the first POP?
 
I'm all over this game. I have a $50 gift card for a game and I'm actually considering waiting for Half Life 2 to drop in price a bit so I can play this right away. :lol

Is that insane or what?? :D
