Ah wells, still proud of you England lads. They've been a good match for SA today but they've just committed too many errors, probably a few tired sets of legs out there.

The fact that the boks are a better team might also have something to do with it ;)

That was never in doubt though. You only have to look at englands results in the last 3 years to see who the better team are. That's why Im still proud of them.

I've got some fucking dodgy refereeing to fall back on if you really want to argue so I'd try and be a bit more humble if i were you.

Despite supporting South Africa in this game, England should be proud for getting this far. They've been consistently shit from the moment they won in 2003 up until the end of the group stages of this world cup. The turnaround in such a short time is quite amazing really.

This ref seems to be blind to South Africa blocking.
Now you know how New Zealand felt against France.
Numbers to your right johnny, what were you thinking?

One England try was 50/50, one very bad blocking call against England and 2 blocking calls that should've been called against England. Still doesn't change the fact that SA are the better team.

England didn't seserve to win, but if the calls went their way they should have won.

All I'll say is; they weren't the best officials I've seen...

I'm much more interested in Lewis Hamilton, I think it's the possibility of England having their own Tiger Woods or Roger Federer or Michael Shumacher that does it.

It'll be a hat-trick of British disapointment, and you know it.

Hat-trick? What's the third?

Oh, that. Yeah, that was disappointing, but not really in the same league. It's not even over and there was no title to go for.

The best thing about this defeat is that the real English Rugby fans - a pretty decent lot - won't go on and on about how they were robbed for years, and the English Football fans who are pretending to be Rugby fans because of stupid nationalism will stop thinking and talking about it by tomorrow.

Us Kiwis now have pleasure of beating the World Champs for the next four years, then of course choking in the 2011 world cup.

Sad for England because their future doesn't look quite so bright for the next couple of years. This was their last chance to win the cup for quite some time as it sees the end of an era for a stellar group of players.

Oh well.

South Africa, BITCHES! :D Bokke finally deliver on all the amazing talent we've had for quite some time.

:lol @ the faction of England fans complaining about the refereeing decisions. The only major thing was the try, and that was clearly out - you lost by 9 points and you did nothing to write home about in the final ten to fifteen minutes. (except for two drop goal attempts from Wilkinson that fell short ;)) Good try anyway. England really came from the wilderness in this tournament... but some of the fans, well, you aren't the best of losers. :P

NKOSI SIKELEL' iAFRIKA! SIYABONGA ENGLAND, YEBO YES! :D

This is true. Our record against New Zealand is pretty pathetic. We've only won 3 out of our last 9 games (since 2004) against you. But don't forget Tri-Nations 2004 - although Australia gave us that win. :P

If you find this kind of thing interesting, South Africa's all-time record against Australia is an impressive 37 wins out of 62 games. All Blacks, however, is a whopping 85 out of 128 against the Wallabies.

But if you're not an All Blacks fan, you can always point out that South Africa (1995, 2007!!!) and Australia (1991, 1999) have two World Cup trophies apiece to New Zealand's single victory in 1987.

Come on. You know 95 was ours. Admit to it. Can't believe they're making a movie about it and are 'talking' to Matt Damon to star as Pienaar in it.

I don't know all the rules, but my understanding is if any part of you touches the line in rugby, it's out of touch. The commentators here kept saying he lifted his foot in time, but I thought his toe touched the line before he lifted it.

Cueto was an idiot. Why he raised his arms above into the air and then placed the ball cost him that try. Absolutely stupid. Get into a good low body position and to do that? He deserved not to be awarded it for shear stupidity.

At least South Africa won, can't say much else positive about the game.

Well glad I didn't sacrifice the sleep to stay up and watch it, but I'll make sure to watch snippets of the replay later today.

Good job South Africa. Well done to England who climbed from the jaws of hell after the WC '03 win.
