25 episodes searching for a particular person from the past. The person is found at the end of episode 25, and the lead character and the elusive character from the past meet for about 3-5 minutes in episode 26. Then somebody comes by and kills the person that we spent all series working for. Which series am I describing?

The difference, of course, being that
Fuu actually accomplishes what she wanted to, while Spike didn't.

What happened to the guy that was walking around while on fire? Am i to assume he died, even though he dropped into a river (putting out the flames I thought)? I thought he'd be the sunflower samurai given that he was carrying sunflower seeds around...

Late to the party as far as the final two eps are concerned, so I'll just say that ep25 was goddamn spectacular, ep26 was kind of a letdown but at least a graceful one, and ep14 is still clearly the best episode in the series.

Finally watched the last episode. :D

AWESOME! 8/10 in my book.

Thank god nobody died. I didn't want another Cowboy Bebop ending. And what's with them going their own paths at the end? :'(

Agreed.

the ending sucked

and how did
the old caretaker live anyways? and wouldnt they still be hunted by the government? bleh

overall a pretty uneven series, with only a few episodes id care to watch again.

The assasin only ever knocked him out with the butt of his blade.

I know I'm late to the party, but I just finished watching Champloo.

Awesome stuff.

It seems like Mugen has infinite lives. He's on the brink of death like 8-10 times in the series, yet he survives. :lol

Episode 26 was pretty cool in that
it kept me guessing as to who would live and who wouldn't. I was constantly left thinking one of the main three characters was dead, or about to die, and yet it never came. I really liked how it was somewhat unpredictable.

I really want there to be a follow up series/season, though. They definitely have the materials for it. (Lots of characters that could reappear, for instance, such as the Episode 2 assassin and that chick who was infatuated with Mugen).

And yes, Episodes 22 and 23 were fucking weird. :lol

So there's 26 episodes, just like Bebop? And then the series is over? Or what? I want to get the complete series on DVD if that is true...

Episode 14 and 15 are by far the best in the whole series and show why mugen is the best character. I would love an offshoot series following them as they all go their seperate ways. Then have them meet up again at the end of 26 episodes but decide to hang together this time instead of going seperate ways. That would be awesome.

I thought Jin and Mugen were both fantastic actually. Like Jin telling taking down Mugen's enemy after he thought he was killed. For me, that was probably the most bad ass kill in the series. Gun vs. Sword. Then seeing Mugen again afterward, bringing a tear to his eye in the rain. So great.

It's only up to Volume 4 so far. You can find them probably at any online retail site. Volume 5 comes out in September.
Volume 4 doesn't come out for another 2 weeks either.

=O How is it? Can you give a brief mini-review?

It's great. Like all PSP movies, the screen quality is awesome. It's brighter than watching it on Cartoon Network that's for sure. And if you plug in the PSP Ear Buds or whatever they call them for the surround sound effect, you really got some high quality entertainment on your hands.

For $12, it's definitely worth it. I've only seen the first two episodes of Samurai Champloo, but I intend to collect all 26 episodes. It's definitely the best anime I've seen since Cowboy Bebop.

So if you have a PSP, and you're a Samurai Champloo fan...Definitely pick up the first two episodes on UMD. It's definitely worth the money.
