Well I finished ep26 much earlier today. It was good shit but saying more would be spoiling. Overall it was a great show. Sad that it's over.

I'm going to wait for the 'main' group to do it with their usual high quality translation. They have to get to 23 first and then 24 before 25…

;__;

Good luck. You're better off watching episodes 1-22 all over again before they get 23 out.

Ohh, episode 25 rocked! Lots of action, tension, and heartbreak there. The final episode should be one helluva doozey, though. I hope Mugen/Jin make it out alive.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO...me cry now :.( ok im thinking the guy jin fought is fuu's dad and he just hurt injured Jin on purpose. JIn is still live...he better be

God no. :( Did anybody else cry when Mugen showed up and told Fuu to go? Damn, I really wish the series would continue somehow. Jin only had one move. I hope it was just an injury like doc holiday. Isn't he grateful at all for them taking care of Fuu? I guess no matter what happens now, it's safe to say this series is up there with the greats. :(

um, i really dont see how Jin could "make it out alive" after that.

Then you obviously haven't been following the series very closely. :lol

what, he's made it out of a near death wound and fall from a bridge. And... that was as crazy as they got where they still lived.

Just finished watching 25 and boy was it ever intense, I kind of want the series to continue :(

NOTE: Does anyone know if the music played at the beginning of that episode is on the official OST?

I believe it's 624 Part 1 from the "Departure" OST. A lot of these songs sound very similar though, so I might be wrong.

As long as Jin falls into the water when he's "killed", he'll come back :)

That's why his character's blue.

? Please explain! :D What about Mugen being red..?

Anyway, 25 rocked. I don't really follow news about the series - so 26 is the last ep? I guess the two "half-seasons" = one full season, and that's it for SC?

:( :(

This show seriously rocks. Can you guys believe those haters who diss the show because most eps (until recently) have different storylines? I mean that baseball ep. was by far one of the greatest eps. ever! :D

Hot damn watching eps 24-26 in a sitting was the best idea I ever had. Well, best luck in anime watching anyway, I had no idea it ended at 26 until I saw the torrent name had FINAL in it.

Great ending sequence, great show. Some anime reminds me of some British sitcoms in how they use short runs to ensure the show hits it's peak and ends on a high before the creators/actors are bored with it. Knowing from the start the show will only last 2 seasons just seems to bring out the best in episodic TV sometimes.

Just saw 25.

What was that one guy doing to Fuu before he punched her in the stomach? And what was with the heavy black lines around both of them? Distracting.

Really great last episode to cap it all off.

I'm glad both Jin and Mugen survived! It's a shame, though, that Fuu's father had to be killed :-(

Now, I have no samurai anime to look forward to!

wow...just wow.

I'm so sad to see an anime as unique as SC go :( I remember when it came out last year, it was so awesome!! :(

he lives.....

WTF...are you serious? i havent seen 26 yet but wtf....the way the blood squirted and the 2 moves that both samurai did and thier stances and what not....youd assume whoever got hit, died.....thats how it is in all samurai movies in that situation....one example that comes to mind is seven samurai....

then again...this is a fuckin anime....

by looking at the past, the same team that did the escaflowne and cowboy bebop movie should be doing a champloo movie.

/whishful thinking

I was CONVINCED that Fuu was going to be the only one to survive. Excellent (and tense) ending to an excellent series.

finally caught 26 and yea i was thinkin fuu was gonna be the only one living too, and i think it would have been better that way..BUT...it was still a great ending.

peace

I agree.

I think it would have been better if Jin and Mugen would have died right after their swords broke. Did we really need to see them wake up weeks later after a near death experience? It's happen so many times in the series already. Still a pretty good ending. I suppose it would have been predictable no matter how it would have ended...if that makes any sense :P

I did enjoy how Mugen asked what the journey was really about, and then they all just went on seperate paths.

I would agree with that.

Fuu seemed strangely cheerful so soon after her dad was murdered in front of her eyes.

Still, I found the ending satisfying. Like pretty much everybody, I expected the series to end with both Mugen and Jin dying, whether it's at the hands of their enemies or in their final duel. Champloo, as it has done in the entire series, went against what would be typical. A perfectly fitting ending for the series.

Personally, I would have liked the trio to stay together. Jin learns the most valuable lesson of his life and he's just willing to separate from his friends?

yea it doesnt make sense that jin would separate , hell same with all of them

I was expecting for both Jin and Mugen to die since we know what happned to Spike in Bebop.

Still.....Awsome ending. Overall Bebop is much better but I did enjoy the last 2 eps of Champloo a whole lot more.

I think the ending would have had even less an impact if they all stayed together and said "where to next guys". It's pretty much implied they will cross paths again. It would be interesting if they made a movie though, showing later adventures. And to show if that one chick who wanted to marry Mugen ever ran into him again hehe

and they never showed what happened to the samurai that schooled jin in episode2(?). i smell movie...!

I was thinking a cool ending would be (as already mentioned) for Jin and Mugen to die after their swords broke. Then the next seen where you see Fuu and the old man by her father's grave, there'd be two more graves alongside it. I was actually wondering if they were hiding more graves in that first shot of that scene :P

*sniff* It's not fair. I want more Champloo dammit! All i got now is Naruto, Bleach, Yakitate Japan which is released like once a month, and Beck which only has 2 episodes left.

I think I'm gonna force all my anime loving friends to watch Samurai Champloo on Adult Swim. Those assholes don't like reading subtitles. -_-

Finally finished watching the series. Loved the final three episodes. Really made the series for me. Would love to see a movie of this.

My only complaint is that the main plotline regarding Fuu and the sunflower samurai...really seemed underused. Anyone agree? I wish there was a better twist to it in the last 3 episodes.

Yeah, I agree too. It was still entertaining but I remember thinking, "Oh, okay" instead of "No WAY!" like at the end of Bebop.

I would've liked to see more development with Jin's character--speaking of which, what happened with that samurai at the end of episode 2? You know the one that pretended to be old and really timid, but he was really an awesome assassin, and only stopped attacking Jin when he saw the guy that had hired him died. Didn't he say that they would meet again?

I don't see anybody complaining about the fact that Spike and Julia's plot in Bebop turned out EXACTLY THE SAME WAY.
