McNabb was garbage, but what can you expect when they couldn't run worth shit and he had all the pressure on him? Oh well. Props to the patriots!

All those people who said it hurts more to lose in the superbowl. You are wrong. The nfc championships hurt more.

McNabb was garbage, but what can you expect when they couldn't run worth shit and he had all the pressure on him?

He was pretty well protected in the 2nd half and he had guys open.

Props to T.O. ..dude is in amazing physical condition. Remarkable that he could get back in that kind of playing condition after the injury this fast.

This super bowl sucked both the game and commercials. Anyone disagree? It didn't suck as much as Raiders/Bucs or Giants/Ravens but it's up there.

Too bad Nascar isn't a sport....

too bad nascar sucks

Star Wars music for the trophy presentation?!?!?!

BWAHAHAHHAHAH

SUCK IT TO! SUCK IT! SUCK... IT....

Hmmm Terry sportin the goate... damn that makes him look old.

Maybe it doesnt hurt as much because overall I feel like the eagles were the better team. They just couldnt overcome Mcnabbs mistakes. How can you possibly hate on TO after the game he had?

Yeah it wasn't 77 to 56 ... I swear, the only games that people think are good involve NO defense :)

That's fucked jinx.... especially related to the Patriots, they deserve it considering what they've done in the last 4 years.

are u an eagles fan or a TO fan? eagles were not the better team.... mcnabb is part of the team and a big reason for their success the last few years..... but the NFC had no business challenging the AFC in a super bowl this year

Mcnabb is the reason we lost. His throws were all over the place and it cost us. We were gonna win it or lose it with him and he didnt come through. The rest of the team played great IMO.

No, sorry that's a lod of shit. The running game was crap which meant that you had no choice but to pass and the offensive line was overcome by the Pats line. There is plenty of shame/blame to go around :)

Branch got the MVP... well deserved, VERY well deserved.

The Eagles lost because they blitzed and did not get to Brady.. instead they let Brady and Branch burn the f*ck out of them on almost EACH and EVERY blitz.

The game sucked? Are you crazy? This was actually a nice back and forth... 2nd half neither defense could stop either offense.... Eagles had a chance most of the way through this...

I know but it's just too disappointing for me to see Boston get another championship. I wanted to see the Eagles show more heart. I think the only reason why I'm saying this is because my (team I was rooting for.... I'm not a EAGLES fan) team lost. Btw, I know why they lost.... JOE BUCK CALLED THE GAME. He is bad luck for any team I root for. The last few years that he has called the Yanks WS games they have lost ever since. Was he an announcer in last year's SB? I hate him.

Sorry, but I hate the goddamn Patriots, and it's a stupid cliché. I mean, aren't the Eagles a "dynasty" too? They've gotten to the NFC Championship Game (or farther) each of the last four years. Furthermore, the makeup of the Patriots has been slightly different every year...so in what sense is it the same team to call a "dynasty?"

Are you crazy. Take away that Mcnabb pick with like 7 minuets in the 4th where he threw the ball about 10 yards over levens head and the eagles probably win this game. The pats pretty much blew out every afc team they played.

The running game was crap because they were forcing us to throw. Why do you think the dbs were matched up 1 on 1 most of the game.

Are the Eagles a Dynasty? Well normally you are called a dynasty when you continually WIN The big games... the Eagles HAVEN'T... the nfc championship isn't the END or the BIGGEST game so no dynasty talk for them... and your question about the makeup of the team? That's where the praise came from because even with the changes in personnel they were still able to come back each year and not only be successful but continue to win the big game.

Same staff, same QB, same core... that's your dynasty.

They kinda remind me of the late 90s Yankees.

Yeap I said as much earlier in the game. The reffs not calling the Pats on their holds didn't help matters.

At least the pats haters can take heart in knowing they will not make the playoffs next year. The curse of the eagle cannot be overcome.

McNabb becoming INT happy certainly didn't help either. Goddamn the XLR is a gorgeous f'n car... Allante what?

Freddie Mitchell had 1 catch for 11 yards... hahaha can you say BITCH.... :lol

Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck the Iggles. Why did you rob us of the robbing of the Patriot's dynasty? You sorry sacks of shit, you should have let the Falcons get here to do the job right. >:

Ok, good game by both teams. But goddammit, the fucking Eagles could at least have given us a last-second glimmer of hope. Instead, this game was over by the start of the 4th. The Pats won it in the 3rd. Fuck Belichik and his brilliant ass. I don't know if it's really him, but this team is well prepared for every big game. The one year they missed, was kinda flukey. A well-deserved dynasty *grumble*. Fuck them, and fuck Boston's bullshit miracle sporting season. Those assholes won't shutup for another decade. Enjoy it while it lasts, pricks. Karma's gonna fuck you in the ass for the next 80+ years. :X There...vented. Pam Oliver....come here, bitch. Stand and deliver. I need some satisfaction tonight. PEACE.

Whatever you do, don't look at the ESPN main page. *vomit* I am sorry, but the Eagles cost themselves the game and the other great teams of the past left no question in the Superbowl. THe Patriots keep just getting by teams in the Super Bowl. The Niners, the Cowboys, the Broncos and all just pummelled their opponents.

Mcnabb cost us at least 2 scores with his pick in the redzone and just outside of it. Just with that alone he needs to take most of the blame for the loss, not even factoring in all the other throws he missed throughout the game. They tried to force Mcnabb to beat them and obviously he couldnt. I also need to mention that collingsworthles is the biggest fucking peice of crap ever to call a game.

Good assesment. Good night folks... hopefully we'll continue to keep this thread running tomorrow.... some reporter MUST interview Freddie Mitchell.. I'd kill to see the post game press conference on this one....

Ya im sure its just luck that they have the record for the longest winning streak in NFL history and Brady has never lost a playoff game. Oh yea and also just luck that they demolished the Colts and their number 1 offense and the steelers and there #1 defense to get to the superbowl. If not for a late hail mary it would have been a 10 point win. You can whine all you want but the pats keep winning and there is no doubt they are the Dominate team of the last 2 years.

That was anything but a hail mary. Greg Lewis and TO were wide open in the end zone. The game was still in question at that point.

The running game was crap because you were forced to throw? 1st down and 10, WTF are you forced to throw. When you do run you get 1-2 yards max. Sounds like a sucking running game to me - and against the Pats that's understandable, but if you HAVE to pass because you can't run its somewhat easy to play back and wait for the pass.

damn.... someone predicted branch getting the MVP... the pats are the real deal.. nice to see the 3 coaches get mushy at the end and hug

We did screen a couple times for good yardage. That doesnt count as rushing yards though. We will be back next year at least. TO is my hero for the way he played today. :) The defense stood up to Dillon and held them to 4 yards a carry, Brady only threw for like 230 yards. Greg Lewis is going to be a major weapon in the future. Westbrook is just gonna get better and maybe someday mcnabb will learn how to controll his throws in big games. Like i said, the nfc championship losses hurt more, i was better prepared for this loss because i have watched mcnabb crumble against the 3-4 time and time again. It still hurts, I wont be watching espn (they will be trashing the eagles hard, probably throwing out inaccurate information in the process) or anything football related for the next 5 months or so. No different than any other year, I know the routine. :)

fun game. glad the eagles and freddie lost. let's see him talk more shit. 0 catches, nice.

and jinx, if you really are gonna ban someone for calling the pats a dynasty, when they obviously are, that's one of the dumbest things i've ever fucking heard.

I must say I really enjoyed watching the super bowl this year, it’s the one bit of American Football I watch for the year and I was very impressed. I find watching the highlights that cut out the breaks in the game more exciting. The game still looks like a lot of fun to play I just don’t like the constant breaks in the flow of the game It’s a necessary evil for televising sports

All game I was waiting for McNabb to scramble somewhere, maybe get a 1st down... but he never did. That disappointed me more than anything else he did. Because this would have definetely made the defense play differently.

I didn't really think T.O. would be such a factor in this game, but he was. More passes should have gone his way. I actually got to the point of thinking if T.O. was single covered throw the ball to him, cause he was always covered by a DB that was playing off like 10 yards. He played exceptionally well.

The Philly blitz was not working at all because Tom Brady and the Patriot's coaching staff used the long snap count to perfection throughout this game to check out who was blitzing where, and this helped them find open seams.

I thought Westbrook played well, until that one dropped pass he had (he had like 20 yards in front of him, wide-open). I guess he still played a very good game, just wish he didn't drop that ball :\.

Lastly, the Philly defense played very well throughout this game, just that there blitzes were always getting picked up.

TO better get the credit he deserves for coming back 4 weeks early and being so dominant. His numbers were almost equal to the superbowl mvp.

this loss falls on the shoulders of management and Mcnabb... no way do you let damn near 2 minutes go off the clock at the end of a game you are LOSING by two possessions... if there was no scoreboard up, I would have thought that the eagles were winning the way they were getting to the line of scrimmage and all.. It looked as if they thought they were in the 3rd quarter... inexcusable...
