Madripoor first appeared in New Mutants #32 (October 1985). It was created by Chris Claremont and Steve Leialoha.
Madripoor was featured heavily in the Wolverine solo series (starting 1988). Penned by Chris Claremont and artwork by John Buscema.
I'm guessing the chick in the trailer wearing the black mask with the red marks on it is Sin(Red Skull's psycho daughter), and the dude on the poster is US Agent.

She's apparently a gender-swapped Flag-Smasher.
Is this set before Wanda since there’s no multiverse shenanigans?

That's kinda spoilerish for people who haven't watched yet dude.Is this set before Wanda since there’s no multiverse shenanigans?
Sorry thought it was obvious since that was the premise for the show. Have added a spoiler tag. That's kinda spoilerish for people who haven't watched yet dude.

Episode 5 broThere are no multiverse shenanigans in WandaVision so far so no spoiler is needed IMO.
Episode 5 bro
It might. Who knows? So does that mean the end of Far From Home is multiverse?
Sleep it off then, brosef.Disney is like shoving stuff at our throats
Looks awesome and everything, but damn, I'm with a fatigue
It’s clearly a different version of JJ than in the Raimi movies. It might. Who knows?
The only thing that's different is his haircut. It’s clearly a different version of JJ than in the Raimi movies.

Is this a TV series like Mandolorian or a movie?
Almost zero interest. Winter Soldier is cool but I’m pretty done with marvel super hero shit.
Until they stop making them or start making them good, yes. Wouldn’t it be shitty if everyone liked everything together? The problem is they make decent trailers to pull people like me in and then the film or series is just meh.Aren't you always saying this?
Is it required in every hero based thread?
Don’t want to get my hopes up but...
I mean you know what you are gonna get. Bitching and complaining about it ain't gonna change that.Until they stop making them or start making them good, yes. I’m sick of the same formula and the same hero’s over and over. They have this huge pool and only use like the same 15 people.
Don’t want to get my hopes up but...after that FOXverse Quicksilver X-men cameo in Wandavision this week...if this is indeed Madripoor holy fuck they’re really maybe finally doing X-men? Have to think without COVID we probably wouldn’t have gotten these teases at all.
NOW I know what I’m getting. But I would be a liar if I said I haven’t seen almost every Marvel show and movie. They weren’t all like they are now. Thinking about Iron Man OG and the old Hulk movies that used unique directors and ideas. It’s GOTTEN to a point where it’s a formula made by like 3 people and none of the ideas seem original or creative. It all seems like a rip off of a rip off with some bang boom CGI and Zimmer music.I mean you know what you are gonna get. Bitching and complaining about it ain't gonna change that.
I wouldn't go in a korean pop thread and bitch about not liking it, but that's just me.

There is a reason Joker, Logan and Deadpool were really great films, because they stood on their own and had a point and creative ideas. They weren’t paint by numbers mass produced feeling shit.
After Wandavision I’m just checked out from anything having to do with this.
Do you like all the movies and shows or do you think some are garbage and unnecessary in various ways?
Fair enough. I’m sure I will end up watching and complaining, but that’s the way the cookie cutter cuts.I'm not sure how you can see all the MCU films as being the same. The are all tonally different for starters, unless the same director is on multiple films, even GOTG and Thor: Ragnarok feel different. But even movies by the same director/s can have totally different structures, Infinity War and Endgame are nothing alike in terms of narrative. They all present their own little narrative surprises that keeps comic fans guessing. They all change up the third act, Ant-man and the Wasp doesn't even have a villain per say, ad to the fact that Ant-Man 1 and 2 are again totally different in terms of narrative.
The Phase 1 films are the most generic of the MCU films in terms of plot and narrative, Thor being the only one that throws in a few surprises.
And when you say original, what exactly do you mean? Yes, Deadpool and Logan are great but they aren't original. We have seen the "protect the girl/child and get across the border" story a thousand times. And have you not seen Super or Kick Ass? They did the R rated comedic hero story before. Joker I don't consider a comic story at all, it's an original story with the Joker name slapped on and if it wasn't called Joker it probably would not have received the same recognition by the majority of people.
I think 20 out of the 23 MCU films are amazing. Captain Marvel is good but not great. Thor: Dark World and Incredible Hulk are not great and boring.
I have issues with all the other super hero movies by the other studios, Fox and Sony were/are terrible at making them. Fantastic Four and Venom are just horrible tripe and I have no faith in Morbius because it will probably feel like another late 90's/early 2000's rehash film. The Netflix shows got boring, Agents of SHIELD got boring, Hulu shows were OK and the Arrowverse I stopped watching because season 2 of Supergirl started focusing on sister lesbian problems.

The Sony venomverse is especially egregious. Aunt May spy movie was planned? Nightwatch? Madame Web? And so many others including Morbius and Kraven. Kraven, btw, should have been an obvious villain for Spider-Man 3 but Sony is trying to force their crappyverse into the MCU.I'm not sure how you can see all the MCU films as being the same.
