Can you actually place an order with them now, or is this only available to those who preordered? I went into their store, but can't see anything in PS3 Hardware.

Those prices are slightly cheaper than Playasia ($20)...and I'm guessing NCSX ships directly to Europe.

Gofreak,i think the preorders are closed at this time.Just ask them about this anyway but do it quickly ! :)
And yes, they ship to Europe(i'm french).

Just woke up. Play-asia has a 20gig in-stock and shipping within 24 hours!!!! Oh crap. I didn't want to go with the 20gig, but it looks like that's the one. 60gig is 1-5 days but with Sony's restocking plan who knows how long that could really be.

Is there a memory stick pro USB adapter out already so you can still download games for your PSP even with a 20gig?

Uh, just connect your PS3 to the PSP via USB..

That chrome is like baller-style .. yo.

But seriously .. that's class right there.

So the 'media' get an HDMI cable and we don't? Whatever. Imagine if we actually did, though?! A new Sony surprise (like the 20gb). Do it, Sony. DO. IT.

Why on earth does Sony give a free PS3 to some blogging lamer ? I never heard of the guy, and he can't even make a sharp photo.

He needs to learn to use the focus on his camera or/and steady his quivering hand :P
Do you know how excited he must be? Seriously, I wouldn't be able to turn on the camera if I had those 2 beasts in my house right now. The man has some skilL!

Seriously the guy is nice enough post pics pictures and people are criticizing him?

"Hey everyone, look at me, I already have a PS3 and a Wii !"

Seriously, what's the point of some blurry photos of stuff we already saw thousands of times ? And he even put a stack of 360 games in one the shots. Sacrilegious! :lol

What? There's no HDMI cable there...

There's just a AC cable, Composite, and Ethernet...

The cable to the right of the games is HDMI.

But you're right, it looks like it didn't come with the standard packaging.

Sorry for the misinfo. :(

Yeah, why would Sony send a free PS3 to a guy that covers video games for one of America's largest tech magazines?! It just doesn't make any sense!

IT IS AN ETHERNET CABLE.

Stop holding out hope for a free HDMI cable!

I'm not holding out for an HDMI cable, but I do believe they sent reviewers the cable. Saves the reviewers $10.

Kohler is the only one who can put this story to bed.

Edit: That picture only shows the contents in the PS3 box, it doesn't show the cable that was included in the shipping box.

November 10, 2006 - And here it is. The IGN office in South San Francisco finally scored PS3 retail units. Everyone approached the box with caution, like the three wise men walking up to baby Jesus sleeping in the manger. For good reason, too - the PS3 has enough processing power and magical circuitry to let one travel through time. Not only that, the cell processor sitting at the heart of the machine can predict the future whil playing movies in full 1080p. Now that's serious power right there.

So naturally, we ripped open the box to see what Sony packed inside it.

One Sixaxis controller (with a 20 meter wireless range and 30 hours of battery life on one charge.
According to Sony it's "ready to go out of the box.")
AC cord (no external power source or brick)
USB mini-cable
Ethernet cable
Multi-AV cable with composite connectors

The box for the 60 GB edition has a simple black and white design. It's fairly large, however, and includes a handle. The back includes a list of launch window games, such as Genji: Days of the Blade, Warhawk and Resistence: Fall of Man.

As a treat, the first 500,000 PlayStation 3 units shipped will include the Blu-ray edition of Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. The bonus puts the Blu-ray edition of the Will Ferrell film in customers' hands ahead of its retail release on December 12.

Head down for pictorial proof the journey.

PS3/Wii: What's In The Mailing Boxes?
Topic: Console Games

Here's what Sony and Nintendo sent over for review:

PlayStation 3: Hardware (60GB), HDMI Cable, Genji, Resistance, and Black Hawk Down Blu-Ray.

Wii: Hardware (Wii Sports Juego Incluido!), Remote, Nunchuk, Excite Truck, Zelda.

You might notice that Nintendo has lost the Extra Cabling Contest, hard. Sony made sure we had HDMI cables to experience the full HD graphics capabilities that the system offered. Nintendo, meanwhile, didn't send component cables, so now I get to play Zelda in freakin' 480i. I'm near tears, here. How did Cassamassina get them, anyway? The world wants to know.

WHOOPED

Again, I understand the retail PS3 doesn't include an HDMI cable. Can you please explain what the cable to the right of the games is?

TTP stated that he thought it was an ethernet cable. Why would Sony include 2 ethernet cables (one inside the PS3 box and one outside)? That wouldn't make any sense to me.

what time is it in japan now? has it started yet? where are the pictures of krazy ken kutaragi handing out the "first" ps3 to some luck bastard? or i already missed the historical moment?

man im kinda ticked, my ebgames said today they wont do a midnight launch for "security risks." :(
I guess another 10 hours wont hurt after years of waiting.

europe guys don't stone me. :p

Black Hawk Down if VC-1 right? and Sony sent it to him as part of the package?

Another rumor dispelled :D

and Deadmeat **** owned

The dirty racing game MotorStorm is listed as a February 2007 title. Factor 5's ambitious dragon slayer Lair is listed for a March 2007 release. And the awe-inspiring Heavenly Sword is listed for release in March. All three are coming from Sony Computer Entertainment, and none of the three have an ESRB rating yet.
Motorstorm = Feb
Lair = March
Heavenly Sword = March

hmm...now the decision, can I wait 3 months for motorstorm, or import now. :lol
