gofreak said:Can you actually place an order with them now, or is this only available to those who preordered? I went into their store, but can't see anything in PS3 Hardware.
Those prices are slightly cheaper than Playasia ($20)...and I'm guessing NCSX ships directly to Europe.

Oh man
Bebpo said:Just woke up. Play-asia has a 20gig in-stock and shipping within 24 hours!!!! Oh crap. I didn't want to go with the 20gig, but it looks like that's the one. 60gig is 1-5 days but with Sony's restocking plan who knows how long that could really be.
Is there a memory stick pro USB adapter out already so you can still download games for your PSP even with a 20gig?

But seriously .. that's class right there.
So the 'media' get an HDMI cable and we don't? Whatever. Imagine if we actually did, though?! A new Sony surprise (like the 20gb). Do it, Sony. DO. IT.

Kobun's blog said:And the insides. Left to right on the bottom, that's a Blu-Ray copy of Talladega Nights (!), the SIXAXIS controller, power cable (it's completely true -- no brick!), composite video cables (won't need those), and Ethernet cable.
LJ11 said:That looks much thicker than an ethernet cable.
Goldrusher said:Why on earth does Sony give a free PS3 to some blogging lamer ? I never heard of the guy, and he can't even make a sharp photo.

Stop holding out hope for a free HDMI cable!

Kohler is the only one who can put this story to bed.
November 10, 2006 - And here it is. The IGN office in South San Francisco finally scored PS3 retail units. Everyone approached the box with caution, like the three wise men walking up to baby Jesus sleeping in the manger. For good reason, too - the PS3 has enough processing power and magical circuitry to let one travel through time. Not only that, the cell processor sitting at the heart of the machine can predict the future whil playing movies in full 1080p. Now that's serious power right there.
So naturally, we ripped open the box to see what Sony packed inside it.
One Sixaxis controller (with a 20 meter wireless range and 30 hours of battery life on one charge.
According to Sony it's "ready to go out of the box.")
AC cord (no external power source or brick)
USB mini-cable
Ethernet cable
Multi-AV cable with composite connectors
The box for the 60 GB edition has a simple black and white design. It's fairly large, however, and includes a handle. The back includes a list of launch window games, such as Genji: Days of the Blade, Warhawk and Resistence: Fall of Man.
As a treat, the first 500,000 PlayStation 3 units shipped will include the Blu-ray edition of Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. The bonus puts the Blu-ray edition of the Will Ferrell film in customers' hands ahead of its retail release on December 12.
Head down for pictorial proof the journey.

Here's what Sony and Nintendo sent over for review:
PlayStation 3: Hardware (60GB), HDMI Cable, Genji, Resistance, and Black Hawk Down Blu-Ray.
Wii: Hardware (Wii Sports Juego Incluido!), Remote, Nunchuk, Excite Truck, Zelda.
You might notice that Nintendo has lost the Extra Cabling Contest, hard. Sony made sure we had HDMI cables to experience the full HD graphics capabilities that the system offered. Nintendo, meanwhile, didn't send component cables, so now I get to play Zelda in freakin' 480i. I'm near tears, here. How did Cassamassina get them, anyway? The world wants to know.
Motorstorm = FebThe dirty racing game MotorStorm is listed as a February 2007 title. Factor 5's ambitious dragon slayer Lair is listed for a March 2007 release. And the awe-inspiring Heavenly Sword is listed for release in March. All three are coming from Sony Computer Entertainment, and none of the three have an ESRB rating yet.
