You can pick up a wireless bridge for your PS3 (the D-Link model is around $50 on Outpost.com) and connect to your wireless network with ease.

I'd say buy another movie and if it still does it, either return or call Sony.Captain N said:I got the PS3 and I'm watching my first blu ray movie..It will freeze for a few seconds when it goes from one chapter to the next. hold square, then use L2/R2 to zoom in/out. Click square to restore to normal view.Bebpo said:How do you zoom in with the internet browser?

Chrono said:hey guys, I'm considering getting a PS3 soon but I have a few questions...
PSone games...
- upscaled to 480p?
- if yes, are there any other enhancements?
PS2 games...
- I heard this was fixed, does this mean 480i games are scaled to 480p? And I'm guessing 480p games aren't a problem at all...?
PSP connectivity...
- I'm assuming I'll need wi-fi for this and I'm planning to get the core, so I'd like to know what ps3-psp connectivity benefits there are that I might miss. I don't have a PSP yet but I'll be getting one eventually.
Thanks in advance for any help. My new TV is dead now (sort of... it has a huge vertical line of stuck pixels....sigh) and I decided to not upgrade until this summer, leaving my pc monitor as the only option for console gaming. which means either using a gamebridge/vga adapter/whatever to connect a console to the monitor or let the PS3 do it for me - I'm buying one anyway, so why not do it now especially since none of those adapters work well apparently.
Red Blaster said:To answer the BC questions, yes both PS2 and PS1 games are upscaled to 480p. 1.5 fixed the issue with 480i games, so everything's peachy now. Fast loading is standard thanks to the quicker read speed of the PS3, no texture smoothing for PS1 titles though.
ManaByte said:Yes you can, you just have to hit the analog button on the DS2 instead of the PS button.
However since Guitar Hero's guitar has no analog button it doesn't work; and no you can't hot swap out the guitar with a controller.
Chrono said:One last question... is there a way to use a ps2 controller with a ps3 for BC games? like with some adaptor or something.
It'd be nice to have that option for rumble. I don't think I'll miss it much - I just switched to a wavebird for my gcn and honestly I didn't care for the change, but just to have the option and be able to do comparisons would be great. Most BC games I'll be playing are RPGs anyway. The other ones don't particularly have excellent implementations of rumble imo - even metal gear. I hate it when there's a great cutscene going on and the controller just goes berserk when there's an explosion or whatever. This is especially true of devil may cry 3 - I really hated rumble during the cutscenes. I'll stop ranting now and end the post here.![]()

Have they announced when this is gonna be out?Red Blaster said:Nyko's releasing a PS2 adapter that'll let you use guitars, racing wheels, whatever. However if you just want to use the DS2 then you can use just any USB adapter.

Cause its a tennis game.Goldrusher said:Why is Virtua Tennis 49.99 ?
They should make Oblivion, FEAR, Formula One 49.99. Those games are old.
Bad_Boy said:Just came back from EB Games to see if they had the GOW2 demo disc in yet (no luck, they said sometime next week). Anyways, the guy there printed me off a list of games. Probably incorrect dates, but I thought it was worth posting.

Sorry about the left side of the page, I might try scanning it again to see if I can enhance the part where the paper didnt print so well.

nsb said:I seem to be only getting a maximum of 480p via HDMI. I've tried this with 2 separate HDMI cables and on 2 separate tv's. Whether its Manual or Automatic, the tv's can't get a signal any higher than 480p.
Do you think its a cable problem (just being unlucky with the ones I have bought) or could it be the ps3?
I can get 1080i fine via Component...
Nope no other sources with HDMI at the moment. The thing is, I've tried it on 2 entirely separate tv's now, with 2 different HDMI cables. I've found an online store that repairs PS3's, since I'm outside of America, and I emailed them about the problem, and they also said it was very strange, and to try out a third HDMI cable.Mrbob said:That is really...odd. Would be strange if your TV only accepted 480P input over HDMI.
I honestly don't know the answer to your question, though. Hopefully someone does.
If I had to guess, I would say it has to be a problem with either your TVs HDMI input or PS3 HDMI output. Do you have any other sources you can try on your TV via HDMI to see if it can go higher than 480P?
Geezer said:I got my US PS3 today, it's run everything I've thrown at it besides PS2 games. When I try to load one it makes a few beeps and then shuts down. I've tried a few PS2 games, all with the same result. Maybe my EE+GS is ****ed, I dunno, I'm not a tech wizard.
I guess I'm going to have to ship it all the way back to Canada for a replacement![]()
