Do you guys get Versus there? If so, you should be able to watch it.

OT I really wish Lil Nog's fight was televised, that guy has a mean guillotine and he was a beast in Shooto for awhile, I hope he can rebound because he surely got the talent.

I am looking forward to this. WEC/Versus/UFC has done an outstanding job hyping this. Hopefully many watch it.

No but the fight network usually shows the WEC cards. For some reason they aren't showing this one though.

- I like Torres from his previous WEC fights. Plus, you gotta love the mullet. :D

Jens Pulver (145) vs Urijah Faber (144.5)
- The fight I've wanted to see since the last WEC event these two guys were on. I'm pulling for Faber by rnc. I just love the energy the guy fights with. And you gotta love anyone that pulls off a buttslam in a cage fight. :D As a tribute, here he is describing how did some Jackie Chan shit in a Bali nightspot:

PEACE.

Is it just me or is this card ridiculously weak aside from the big main event? Granted I've never seen a WEC show, but I don't recognize more than 2 other names besides Pulver/Faber. I guess my knowledge is too limited to high end MMA (Pride, UFC). Oh well, I hope it's a good show.

probably because WEC is considered the minor league to UFC (with the exception of the 145 and below divisions). You should watch it anyway. A lot of times "weak cards" produce great fights.

Don't put too much faith in big names making a big fight. Sometimes these smaller shows can suprise the hell out of you.

i am really pulling for lil evil, but i dont see it happening. uriah is an animal. hope its a good fight though

I think the undercard should have some good fights in there. Beebe is coming off a loss to Torres for the best, Curran lost to Faber in his last fight, Nog is in there. The main card has two belts up for grabs, and Razor Rob in his first fight since losing his belt.

For the WEC this is a pretty good card. A lot of the great guys are from the smaller weight classes, but I always like the low weight class fights because you get more action than the hw's typically.

For the Canadian viewers, it seems like TSN is going to show it at least according to their ticker they are.

Probably too late, but yes, TSN is showing this live. Starting now.

edit: whoops, didn't see your second post. :lol

WOO, WEC. I am pumped for this event. I'm thinking that Faber outdoes Pulver here. Past vs Future, and future is going to win.

HEY GUYS LOOK!

I watched the EliteXC fight last night and got intrigued in MMA because of the Kimbo Slice main event!

I'm now watching this event because of Kimbo Slice!

there's no giant former porno bodyguards with funny beards here, but hopefully that doesn't deter you. Should be a fairly exciting card.

Thanks Kimbo! :lol

I hope you enjoy tonight with the rest of us tonight.

People were flipping the fuck out in the EliteXC thread that Kimbo was killing their sport. Just felt like being an ass about it.

That outta the way...

Hoping to see some sweet stuff in this event.

I want Urijah Faber to lose because his nickname, the "California Kid" contrasts sharply with his horribly un-American name: Urijah Faber. He sounds like a terrorist, so sign me up for team Pulver.

Looks like Razor Rob is scared shitless of being taken down. He just won't throw anything.

edit: OOH, nice flying knee!

This fight seems rather...tame?

Doesn't seem like either of these guys are willing to put themselves out there.

Edit: That knee could have been DEVASTATING.

lame Razor was stuffing all the takedowns or getting back up immediately but not really throwing. I dunno.. pretty bad fight, I bet Razor wins.
